How to Fix Missing Camera Issue in iMovie (so you can export)

- A few times now, I've come to export my video to CZcams and found that something had gone wrong with the media import process, a camera icon had shown up on some of my media and it was no longer possible to export the file!
I see there are quite a few videos on CZcams for this issue, but since none of the ones I watched contained a short reliable way to fix, I thought I'd show you my workaround method. Hope it helps!

Thank you for this video. I was getting the missing file from just importing from my Canon video camera with the plug in the whole time. Just random clips didn't copy into iMovie. I looked at other videos on this problem and they didn't work. But this did. You just saved my daughter's school project! Thank you!

I'm writing to thank you .Having struggled for 2hours plus I remembered Google and straight away came to your channel .Great and now all is fixed .Fortunately it was a one clip that was doing this .Yes the most important . Subscribing just in case of future issues .Oddly enough after twelve years of here have never had issue until certain systems upgraded but in reality were downgraded .Add to that few apple stores have people trained in media .That is from the horses mouth but when you connect with one they are great .Actually my import said complete and to reject my card ....Any how all over now until the next issue ..I made a new library...does this mean all has to follow that or what .. Now it's 01:16 here in Berlin and sleep beckons .. You are tops 👍⭐️ Thanks Callum .

The best way to avoid this from happening in the future is to import from SD card and then eject before even starting to edit the project. This way the import also happens faster as your computer wont be multi-tasking.
