- Not sure why I kept calling the bleed valve a bleed nipple but let’s roll with it. In this episode I show you guys how I flush the brake system in my 2016 XSR900. This will also work with MT09, Tracer, FJ09, FZ09, and most bikes in general.

Nice dude. Message me on ig if you wanna ride sometime
Thanks for video! How much brake fluid do I need (front+back)?
Great Video!
what is the total volume you extract?
Because I did it and between the front and rear, I got 250cc roughly.
Is this correct?

You should be using JIS screw drivers for yr reservoir i think.. JIS #1 #2 #3 would be good ones to have around.
True true
What about flushing the ABS Module? Would be nice to mention, that this is necessaary as well.
I have the same query.
How much volume is extracted from the system?
is 1 500mL bottle enough for both front and rear brakes for a flush? Also, how did you know when to switch from one caliber to the other for the fronts?
Should only need a 12oz bottle
"philips head screwdriver" - works but anyone who plans to do work on a Japanese bike should really spend a few bucks and invest in a set of JIS screwdrivers. They really do work better on Japanese machines.
Assuming this is a similar process for the FZ07? The brake systems don’t look all too different
Should be the same process
Usually it's not Philips screws but rather JIS screws (Japaneses Industrial Standard). If so the screw heads have a small dot stamped onto them.
Philips can easily strip a JIS head. Just a tip.
3:09 ONE MORE REEEPP!!!!!!
Leg day 😆
So tedious... I won't do it, I never use brakes anyway....
Engine braking only or you're a coward
