    Hamons are super addicting to create. Made my first one and I've been obsessed ever since. Great way to elevate your blades with not much extra effort. Came out awesome 👌

    Wow..going to try to re etch one of my blades. But what grit do you finish with before you dip it in the ferric chloride the first time? And how many parts water and ferric chloride? Thanks man

      I typically sand up to 600 grit before etching and the etching solution is 50/50 ferric and distilled water.

      I got the foam one from Walmart in the automotive section. The wooden one I just made out of a paint stick.

    Soooo i may have stole your bevel jig idea lol i hadta try it so i made myself one and holy hell its helped sooooo much and i get waaay nicer and cleaner bevels.

    What acid/water mix are you using? 50/50? 100% Ferric? Working on my first hamon and this video is super helpful.

    Hi how can i bring back the hammon on the back side of Yanagiba (Aogami 2). Its kasumi blade/ not honyaki. Can I use foam sandpaper by 3M and natural stone powder awasedo?

    What kind of acid do you use and where do you get it

      It's ferric chloride and I got it from RadioShack.com. The mixture is 50/50 ferric chloride and distilled water.
