  • A quick and easy way to dye your Eggs! Being Orthodox Greek, this is our families traditional way of dying our eggs red.
    There are many ways to do this process, hope you enjoy and get some value from watching how my family does ours. 😊

    We Georgian Orthodox Christians dye the eggs with red beet juice :)

      Davi oh wow! That’s another great method. Does it take very long?

      I was just going to ask about using beet juice :)
      Ty! Do you do it pretty much the same as done here with this recipe?

    Do you store them in the fridge? If so, how do you keep the dye from coming off on your hands when its time to crack them?

    • @HangingWithHelen
      @HangingWithHelen  Před 2 lety

      I do store them in the fridge. By putting the oil on after you’ve dyed them, it stops the colour from coming off. 😊

    No vinegar?

    • @HangingWithHelen
      @HangingWithHelen  Před 3 lety

      Yes, definitely vinegar. We added it once the water came to a boil. 😊

    • @HangingWithHelen
      @HangingWithHelen  Před 5 lety +1

      Eugene Sedita most European deli’s should have them. Anywhere they sell European condiments. 😊

    • @HangingWithHelen
      @HangingWithHelen  Před 2 lety

      The eggs come from Greek chickens that we have raised and speak only Greek to, therefore they are Greek eggs. 😉
