    Only in UK are there women of different sizes in a work out video...in US we have women that are anorexic usually or super fit in the work out videos. this is so nice, thank you not everyone in the video is perfect and it gives me more motivation to workout

    My friend and I tried this workout to change up our normal at home barre workout. It was great. We did the class mostly on releve to make it a little more intense. We would love a longer version of the class. The instructor kept it flowing, which I have found is hard for some video instructors.

    This is just perfect for me. Emma Newham really knows how to instruct and to challenge her participants enough so that they can get a good workout. Plus she is easy to follow which makes it a great, all-around workout.

    This was the 1st time I did a ballet barre work-out. I did not realize how excellent it was and I actually built up a nice sweat! Will do this one again! Thanks !

      Wendy Lewis that's about the 15th time I heard that an accent is going to get you to work out obviously you're not sticking with the program long I don't know what you really doing here

    If you've ever done a Bar Method or Pure Barre class this is very similar barre work. This video is a great supplement to my regular gym workout without having to pay the steep prices for a barre studio. I did skip the last part on the floor with the barre and did push ups regular on the floor.

    this is a great idea for a workout!! little additional note from a ballet dancer as a possible way to add a little challenge, point your feet and straighten your knees on any kicks, helps to work the leg muscles a little more through tense and release!

    This was awesome!! I'll be doing this a couple times a week in between my yoga and TRX!! More please more!! I used it with my Fluidity Bar!! So much better than those DVD workouts!!

    skipped this workout a few times in the playlist because i didn't think it looked challenging enough.... I was so wrong! I haven't danced in about 5 years and this video kicked my butt! I love it! Unfortunately, you really need a secure "barre" for this workout. A make shift chair barre just won't do. I've started using the breakfast bar counter in the kitchen! But not sure what I'll do in hotel rooms

    I would MUCH rather do this than hard core HITT (which I'm not a fan of).

    I've never really understood what barre was, but this reminds me of ballerinas. In my town, we have nothing like this. I do HIIT but variety is good. It keeps it interesting. When I was young, I was obsessed with gymnasts and flexibility.

    i have been doing this workout for a month now ...and true , my legs,thighs are toned ,my arms smaller,and i learned to love push ups with this vdeo! are there any more vdeos similar to this?

    took me back to my ballet classes..I was always in trouble when we did the barre...but oh wow I thought I was fit and my thighs really burned from just a few minutes of this..

    Loving this working. I've been doing it at home for two weeks now. I have to make some adjustments since I don't have my own barre. For example, I do regular pushups on the floor when you do them on the barre. I also do my own set of crunches at the end and then join back in when you do the crunches with the feet on the wall at the end. I plan to keep doing this as a daily exercise. I'll respond back in a month with some more feedback!

    You can actually use a chair. I've been using The Bar Method DVD's for years at home with just a chair. I see this program is a bit faster than The Bar Method. I really like it for a change. The only thing though is that the instructor does not explain the breathing and positions. Burr Leonard does explain the postures with detail. I think that is key for performing thte exercises the right way (if you are a beginner), so they'll be more effective and you'll prevent injuring yourself.

    I had 5 surgeries including back fusion L5S1. Just did the workout and while challenging much of it was good. I hope I didn't hurt my back (2 years since the fusion), will known tomorrow when I wake up. Will update if people are interested.

      I am a little over 2 years out from a T10L1 fusion. I did okay but I just don't have great core strength and no real barre so when she did the floor exercises I couldn't do all of them.

    I had a pair of slip on Skechers that I quickly threw on for that move as that was a little stressful on the tops of my feet at first. Then I got used to it. Not sure if that was the way to get through it but the tops of my feet are the boniest parts of my body and the pressure was a bit much at first. All good now = ).

    I use my wall or just balance on my own. For the press ups on the bar I just do them with both feet on the floor. For the abs I just put my hands on my floor when I need support. If you have a stable chair that works too.

    You have to be able to feel your arch and go through a full range of motion that you can't do if you have on shoes. Also you need to have a good grip on the floor or your risk rolling or even breaking an ankle. Bare feet are the best option unless you have canvas ballet slippers and crushed rosen.
