- The new G3c 9mm imbues the innovation and performance established by the full-size G3 9mm polymer-frame, striker-fired pistol introduced last year while continuing the go-to dependability and value of the popular G2 series compact Taurus 9mm handguns. The G3c is a great choice for first time, as well as seasoned shooters.
Building on the proven foundation that has made the Taurus G-series among the most popular personal defense/EDC pistols ever, the G3c advances function, reliability, and durability to the next level, starting with the ergonomic frame. Featuring a skillfully contoured palm swell, highly textured grip panels, memory pads for precise and repeatable finger/hand placement, as well as a sculpted, extended magazine base plate, the G3c offers a glove-like fit for most shooters' hands to promote accuracy, ease of operation, and firearm retention. To assist in tactical mag changes in the event dust or grit prevents the magazine from dropping freely, the G3c mag extension includes easy-grip bevel cuts.
Among its many ergonomic features, the G3c offers the 3rd generation trigger system found in the G3, carefully redesigned with a flat trigger face to concentrate finger pressure on the front of the shoe for a straighter pull. This feature allows for shorter trigger reset as well, to promote the delivery of quicker follow-up shots while minimizing trigger jerk. The exceptionally crisp trigger break reduces shot disturbance for greater downrange accuracy.
To assist in operation for shooters of all hand sizes, the G3c has an upgraded slide design that includes both front and rear serrations. This ensures a more positive grip while manipulating the slide for charging, clearing, and makes press-checks easier in ill-lit or dim conditions. For normal light conditions, a visual chamber indicator replaces the mechanical indicator, reducing parts and streamlining the slide profile.
Durability also factors strongly in the new G3c pistol. The G3c slide is treated with a Tenifer finish to minimize scuffing and maximize corrosion resistance, ultimately reducing friction for smoother operation.
Front and rear sights on the G3c have also been upgraded to all-steel construction to withstand the rigors of daily carry. The rear sight is drift-adjustable and includes serrations to reduce glare and promote faster sight acquisition. The G3c is also upgrade-compatible. The rear dovetail is cut with dimensions that accept common aftermarket sights.
The G3c comes from the factory in 10- or 12-round capacities with three magazines included. Available separately are 15- and 17-round factory magazines available at Taurus.

I had the pt111 when they were still in the 300 range then my wife wanted one till later i got her the g2c in robbin blue egg. Their really nice guns an now steel sights. Id say if its even 350 id still buy this g3c to show support

@Frank Bonazza III Ditto. I have fed all types of ammo through my G2 and it never stove piped. Taurus has come a long way and I am proud of them for making such great weapons that us normal people can afford. I also have their model 65 and model 44 revolvers....I love them.

The G3C is apparently replacing the G2C in the Taurus lineup. But I will miss the loaded chamber indicator.
@@jimmellenberger8505 me too. I've really gotten used to it. Especially important for me in a low light or dark situation.
Had mine for 4 months, absolutely love it. Feels fantastic in your hand, trigger feels great and all the grip is just right for me. Everyone thought I was nuts for buying a Taurus. Glad I did though :)

@@Bentz99 2 years later its still been my daily. no jamming, ive even neglected it the past year and its still good, gotta go get some oil. otherwise fantastic gun from taurus. no complaints from me, ive got decently big hands and the gun feels like it was molded for me which is great, most other pistols feel clunky, too small or just not ergonomic in anyway. cant stand the hellcat that my family has, they feel like toys to me.
had mine for a long while still going good just got the green dot and light combo tho its nice

Taurus, you guys really knocked it out of the park with the G series. I have a g2c and just bought the g3. I actually like shooting them more than my Glocks. I am not saying they are better than a Glock, just a bit more ergonomic.

@@Tyshun1 just seen the review on this pistol, their saying a shorter crisper trigger pull with a 4 1/2 lb trigger break? remains to be seen.. I own the pt 111 version of this pistol and yeah the trigger has been my only complaint on this gun
I've got 100 rds thru my G3, no issues and love the gun.
G3C is replacing the G2C in the lineup.
I rented a full size G3 & the trigger was good, especially for what these are selling for.

All my Taurus' are good guns, my tcp has had an issue, and one day I may get it back, Its good to see Taurus improving on their products I just wish they would work that smart on their customer service... Being a multiple Taurus owner I could recommend the product, but if it needed service, you better have a backup gun, cause no telling when you would see it again...If the G3c is as good as the G3, get you one..

I love this gun!!! I just ran the first 200 rounds of Winchester target fmj's through it, with zero issues. Love the feel in my hand, and it's hard to believe it's a compact. Easy to clean and assemble.

I can't wait. Taurus listens to their customers "it seems". Many forums and threads have highlighted THEIR particular cons have certainly been addressed.
Personally, I LOVE my G2c and EVERYTHING I wish they'd have upgraded, they've addressed. I mean EVERY CON I had with the G2c has been addressed. And it's not going to break the bank.
People like to discount a weapon designed so everyone can afford who wishes to own. Just as their is nothing like a Rolex, there is nothing like a Glock, Sig. I am sure there are technical differences that make other firearms better, for the rank and file shooter who puts say 1000 rounds of ammo a year through his/her weapon, this is more than adequate, just as a Seiko is for the daily wearer who wishes functionality over impression. I have a G2C which I recently picked up and it seems to be an excellent weapon, seems like to me this new entry is the G2 and earlier G3 refined, brought to the next level.
Yea but the biggest complaint is one that needs to be addressed. They need to put the loaded chamber indicator back on.
A hole doesn't count as a loaded chamber indicator as brass and other ammo types are to dark so see through a small hole. Plus the mechanical one allows one to feel if its loaded in the pitch dark.
@@Predator42ID I personally don't disagree. I am not a fan of press checks. I own a few firearms where i do press check, but i prefer the indicator myself. I was surprised by how many ppl didn't like the loaded chamber indicator. It was subtle and it worked.

Make sure to check your front sight before shooting it and be careful when tightening the screw .after shooting the first three magazines my front sight was loose added some lock tight and the screw head snapped off when I tightened it up

The only thing you forgot was an ambidextrous safety. And I'd rather have a tactile loaded chamber indicator than one I have to look at. Doesn't work to well in the dark or reduced light.
It's great that they don't seem to be anywhere I look,and for $100.00 more than the G2C Can you say creative salesmanship.

I picked this firearm up new a couple months ago. I love this pistol. Everything about it. The size to shape the ergonomics the amazing grip the fact that it comes with three 12 round magazines.. metal sites that accept Glock style sites as well... And it is rated for higher pressure ammunitions for those of you that like it. And if in fact you do like the plus P style ammo check out Liberty civil defense. 50 grain hollow points traveling it about 2,000 ft per second and they will cut through level 3 body armor like it's nothing. 12:04 a.m. December 31st 2021. I still got my pt111 and love it, i put after market sights on it black out steel rear and fiber optic front, the chamber indicator i love and the beveled front slide has always work for press checks the new finish may be nice though, by leaving on the extra material on the front side and not add a chamber indicator maybe they took the money and added to the finish.
I have one with the stainless steel slide. It would have been sweet if the SS recoil spring was included but its all good. I upgraded to that and also tritium night sights. I proudly stay protected with it on the daily! 😎👍

I love this gun bought I new a few weeks ago shoots great been looking to buy another and buy a micro conversion kit for itI have a 30 round mag and looking to buy a 50 drum I and use it for my EDC also very reliable

They do make 10 rd mags that fit the g2 , g2c, g3, and now g3c but the g2c and g3c come standard with 12rd mags and the g3 come standard with 15rd and 17rd mag but you can order any mags you want from Taurus and they are all interchangeable
They will be shipped w 10rd also for restricted states.

I just got mine and love it! Great trigger, feels comfortable in my hands. I pick up the sights very quickly on draw. Unfortunately, I haven't fired it yet... Damn ammo shortage. I have ammo, but don't wanna waste it right now in case a civil war actually starts.
