- The G3 continues the proven polymer-frame profile of the G2c but in a full-frame configuration. Highlights include generous stippling patches across the grip for maximum control and retention in any shooting condition, an ergonomic palm swell and side-frame Memory Pads that provide quick, positive, and repeatable hand positioning. The frame also incorporates an integrated Picatinny rail. A manual safety and slide release lever are optimally positioned above the thumb for easy manipulation.
Another refined element of the G3 is the 6-lb. trigger. It is designed with a smooth take-up and a surprisingly crisp, clean break exceeding that of typical striker-fired pistol trigger performance. A short reset promotes quick, controlled follow-up shots. Unlike most single-action firing systems, the G3 offers second-strike capability.
Although full-frame in size, the G3's profile makes it well-suited for concealed carry. Uniform beveling along the front of the slide and frame combined with a steep contoured bevel along the back of the slide minimize clothing snags. Generous front and rear machined serrations along the slide ensure a no-slip grip for cartridge chambering and slide manipulation. Additional slide features include a drift-adjustable rear sight, steel guide rod and spring assembly, and the choice of carbon steel or stainless-steel finish.
The Taurus G3 comes in six different models, offering consumer options in slide finish and magazine capacities (two 10-round mags, two 15-round mags, or one 15- and one 17-round mag)

First new handgun I've bought in 30 years. Put over 1000 rounds thru it in two weekends.. Preformed flawlessly...Now time to clean it.....
I'm a Beretta man, but after buying the new Taurus, I'm in love with this gun.
After 1400 rounds no problems at all.

@@PhilJLF I want to like my Taurus 92, but within the first week of owning it the trigger return spring broke. I replaced it and then a couple weeks later the firing pin safety block came apart in about 4 little pieces! I took it apart, including drifting out the rear sight and got the replacement part, put it back together and now all is well! Also was buying a 85 revolver back in the late 90's but took it into the range to try it, but after a few rounds the cylinder was binding up! Brought it back to the counter and bought a S&W 642 instead. Unfortunately I lost faith and trust in Taurus. I want to like this gun, and the G2c, and it sounds great and all, just having bad experiences with Taurus it's tough to lay down money on one. At least for now!

My son has the PT809, G2C, PT1911, and a 608 6" .357, never a problem, very accurate, and eats anything we put in them. I have a PT111 G2, TX22, TH40, and just ordered a G3, and TH40C because of our experience with Taurus. I guess you just can't please everyone all the time, but we are happy with them and that's all that matters to us. Five pistols for under $1200 is tough to beat, but when they perform as well as they have, I won't be the one complaining.

The only problem i have with my Taurus G3 is its hard to put down.
Mike Stenseth I’ve been looking for a Taurus model 431 SS 4”bbl for 3 years. I am a woman and when I first put my hands on that gun, it fit like a glove. It was so accurate I could hit my target every time. The gun got stolen and I’ve been just sick ever since. I now have a Taurus Model 941 SS 3” bbl. It’s a great gun, but nothing like the 431 in my hand. If you know of anyone who has a 431 like the one I had, would you keep me in mind. I d be willing to trade plus pay a little more. The kick is so light... I am really impressed... I've been already been in 8 shootouts (hijack recovery unit). This by far... Is The easiest gun to pull out in fast response, accuracy, wet hands, most of all. The Quality... Feels like driving your car with brand new tyres

Taurus you make some of the best 9MM on the planet the PT111 G2 is incredible
i beg to differ only put 200 rounds on my PT111 G2 before the clip kept falling out so they told me oh yeah we have had a few problems with that send it to use about 2 months later i got my gun back went to the range with my daughter laid it on the bench while we shot our other guns went to get the PT111 G2 and the clip and the whole release fell out so i called Taurus not very happy they told me to send the gun back so i did after another few months they contacted me and said the gun could not be fixed and that they where sending a new G2C which took another month or so, i have yet to shoot the G2C after a year of having it and on top of that they wouldn't reimburse me my FFL fee.so i'm not really a big fan of TAURUS.

Bought a used G3. I can tell the original owner beat the crap out of it. Went to the range right after I bought it. Put 1500 rounds within 3 weeks, without cleaning the gun. No jams, no problems whatsoever. This gun is legit

I just picked one of these up at the local gun store for 2:50, and I am so happy with the purchase the second I put it in my hand I said "oooooh, I gotta have this..." I am not a small man but this thing feels so natural in my hands oh, it's so ergonomic and accurate. I bought it as a duty pistol because I am an armed security officer in Georgia. And I feel much more confident with this in my Arsenal then any of the other Firearms I have had.

Foreign countries actually got a TX9(TS9)(9mm version of TX22) and we get this instead 😑 don't get me wrong I like it but I always wanted the TX22 in 9mm.
I thought the TX 22 lr would be a great idea to have it in 9 mm too.

@@PhilJLF I just got rid of an G2c because it was just too small for my comfort but I'm interested in this hopefully it doesn't have those few plastic internals that the G2c has.I did not like having to replace parts.
Love the TX 22. But they need more rounds. Double stack 20 would be nice.
Excited to see this G3 but doesn’t look like the handle is as good as the TX 22. Everything about that TX 22 is nice except the round count and 9 mil would be nice.
The only thing I wish they would change is the coating on the slide. Other than that, I can proudly say I’ve converted to Taurus. Reliable, affordable, and accurate. I’m glad they are perfecting this platform.
I now own a G3 and while it is a sexy ass full sized 9,it's trigger pull length is honestly the longest I've seen in any pistol
You know its nice when a company can sit down and actually say "lets not reinvent the wheel hut evolve it". In other words dont waste time and money on a gun that may work, when you can build a gun you know already works but bigger. I can definitely see myself buying this gun.

I bought one and have shot it just over 600 rounds. Haven’t had a single malfunction. Great shooter. The more I shoot it the better it gets. Will be putting some new focal point sights on it from LakeLineLLC very soon. I have been carrying a PT111G2 for years but now I have a new option. Gun snobs can kiss my ass. I love my Taurus pistols. G2,G3, and TX22. All great pistols

This makes me so so very happy I absolutely love my g2c.. I bought it just because of the price point to have a truck gun that I can throw around... and it has become my everyday carry I have 2100 rounds through it and It has run completely flawless.. my only suggestion would be to make the g2c and the G3 magazines interchangeable and it will be a game-changer...

G3 rules great handle traction , comfort for big and small hands.
More shops need extra 17 magazines available asap.
Only thing better is having more options for slide finishes and colors .

I just went and purchased my G3 Taurus I have nothing bad to say sometimes you have to reinvent The wheel on a new high level I believe the team have put that into perspective so I am excited to try out my new fire arm I own a Springfield 40 Cal I was interested in looking at a 9 mm quite a while I’m glad this is the first one I own price is great the guy looks phenomenal I like the design and I thought that was put behind the ergonomics And the technology good job TG3

I just purchased a g3 and I have to say I'm impressed. It's definitely not my first Taurus I have several. But besides my pt1911 this one has probably impressed me the most.

I have a pt111 and I carry this gun everywhere. Reliable and price point should be good reason for anyone to get one.
This seems like it's going to be a winner for those who are looking for a full size 9 mm at a reasonable price. I say this because my G2C is incredibly reliable is real comfortable to shoot and I really like the trigger as it's very predictable.
It's great looking, but will I be able to swap the mag release for a left handed shooter? I'm not overly worried about the lack of ambidextrous safety cause I don't carry with the safety on
Bought the G2, loved it so much bought a second one, then a G2c, then G2S and G3....not a dude in the bunch. The G3 trigger safety is an awesome improvement, with there was a retro fit kit for the G2 series.
I just bought myself a new Taurus G3 a few weeks ago and I love mine. Needs zeroed in but I love it alot. Wish Taurus made one in tan and available for red dot sight's and a threaded barrel
I own a g2c, g3c and just ordered a g3. If this thing is anywhere as a nice a gun as my g2c and g3c it's going to be a winner. Damn things just run and will eat -- so far -- any ammo I feed it.
Have you tried any of the Armscor hollow points? I’m curious to know as this is what’s available in my area apart from Armscor FMJ rounds.

I carried G2 in 40mil Compact also have the full size 24/7 owned 3 I have never had a single problem with them.
I just love to know that I have a Semi Auto and Revolver at the Same time in one gun.

I just got one of these yesterday and it is exceeded m expectations by far compared to any other handgun I have owned or bought....found mine with True Glo Tritium Fiber Optic sights for 300$ plus tax....still blown away with how this gun feels in my hands and can't wait to target practice.

I loved the G2. It was everything my g26 should have been. light rail, 12 round mags and double action just to name a few.

The only Taurus I ever bought was a.38 revolver and I had that for 30 years or more which is very reliable but I will be getting that g3.

own a g2c and 12+1=Enough to protect especially with 115 grain hollows💯👍🏾.g3 looks good but, I’ll stick with the g2c for now.
I use the Sig P226 high capacity mags in my G2. Get a sleeve from Springfield XD and slip it on the sig mags. Everything fits and functions as if the individual parts were made for each other.

@DGK201 Can buy three Tauruses for the price of a Glock. It costs practically nothing to make a hunk of plastic. Glock marks up their guns %300. For a hunk of plastic, it's expensive.

Need a NEW pt92c with removablesights. I'll never sell mine. Best gun Taurus ever made in my opinion. 917 wasnt bad either but Taurus and S&W can shove those lib locks the built in.
I wonder if it will be a good carry gun? I have the G2c and it's perfect in every way. I like the fact that G3 offers more capacity and would buy it on that alone. But if it's a bigger gun by too much, then I'll stick with the G2c.
My daily carry for the last year has been the G2C. (The PT111 Millennium Falcon...too many words...version) It would be nice if this is just 'slightly' bigger, but not quite 'full-size', size. I'm hoping it fits in that sweet spot.
Just got my First Pistol and Got a Taurus g2c and I am pretty excited to shoot it!
The G2C is a great pistol for the price. Picked up one at Rural king for $170 out the door. I will definitely pick up the G3
