    Big fast and easy to fly! They are special birds!! But not $650 worth…. As it is now at most its $449.99 worth of a plane… only thing changed is the scheme and maybe some smart esc… they didnt update prop or landing gear… cant charge a premium price for an old plane… but they do fly incredible!! Good flying by both Bobby and Jeff!!

    I'm really surprised at the GPS Speed reading of 99 mph! My Red/White one feels fast but I would have never guessed it was that fast. Could be the larger size. On my red/white I did the A10 80mm freewing trailing link nose gear, Motion RC X-Wave Retracts, Avian 100 amp esc, dubro 2/56 control rods and clevises, and robart low bounce wheels, it's flies amazing so precise. The Dubro 2/56 rods and clevises really surprised me!

    @ctvxl Před rokem +2

    It has better retracts and real hinges on all surfaces except flaps. For $650, I would liked to have also seen steel clevis on all surfaces instead of plastic as well as single plug wiring connectors for the wings. Both are fairly inexpensive upgrades, so really not a deal breaker. The clevis upgrade at least on the elevator is mandatory IMO. Those plastic clevis will break from fatigue eventually. A plane this size has no business using plastic clevis on the surfaces.

    Finally a good T28 video. Well done. I really wanted this one until I found out they didn’t even include quick connect wings. You have to wire this thing up every time you fly it. No thanks.

    • @RCPlaneReviewer
      @RCPlaneReviewer  Před rokem +1

      I'll be honest...all the wires to connect... and there is a lot. Is a Pain the the @ss!!! Literally takes 10+ min to plug up all the wires and check them. They have these annoying and useful safety clips on them to se use them that take forever to unclip. It was just poorly and quickly pushed out. Lights are cool and it flys great as expected but..not user-friendly. Thanks for checking us out!!!😀

      @@RCPlaneReviewer I really appreciate your honesty here. A rep from Horizon told me it only takes 30 seconds to make all the connections and I knew that wasn't true. They could have made this plane so much better if they used aluminum shock landing gear like the RC jets have. Wouldn't add that much more weight

    I really enjoyed the first T-28, i'm hoping to get this new improved version as well, but definitely will be going with a differant paint scheme, perhaps the gray or navy paint color, also adding the Mr RC Sound with two or three speaker would really set this bird off,

    I agree with you about the pricing of this plane. They didn't change much from the original version... For that price they at least should of included easy connectors between the wings and the fuselage as they did with other models like their Focke-Wulf FW 190A, their P51D Mustang 1.5m, their A10 64mm, ect... That spaghetti of cables the you need to plug and unplug every time you want to fly your plane is very annoying... I haven't seeing any upgrades at all on the landing gear of this plane... The plane came with hard plastic wheels, no shock absorbing struts...🤦🏾‍♂️ The original version came with softer wheels... The new color is beautiful, although as you showed, they did an awful paint job...
    Other than that and other things that I mentioned in my video description box, the plane flies like a dream...
    Thumbs-up for your video 👍🏾 Have a great rest of your night 🌙 Greetings from Douglas, Arizona 👍🏾🌵🦠😷🇵🇷

    Well, I was patiently waiting for this to be available in UK but now I've discovered FMS do a 1.4m which runs on 4s (which I have) costs £200 less and you get sprung retractables, ball links, just 2 wing plugs as apposed to 8? I used to be indecisive but now I'm not so sure. I like big, but ..... can you tell when up?

    No argument that this is a great flyer. The plane just isnt up to 2023 standards for a top end $700 price like this. Foam is cheap, size doesnt really equate to price. When you look at everything else it just doesnt approach the bar, let alone raise it. If they made a 2m P-40, all new molds and high standards, I'd buy that at $700.
    Nice speed test. I dont think anyone else has really done it. I knew it was fast from watching other videos, like Pilot Ryan's. 85-90 flat and level is probably a fair estimate and thats really pretty fast, and it sounds great. I like big electric motors. They have a good growl.
    You shoulda kept Jeff's CZ...

    • @JMOnline11
      @JMOnline11 Před rokem +1

      FWIW, the market disagrees with you...the first six months worth sold out within a few days of announcement! It's going to be hard to get these for the rest of the year because people like it so much/want it so bad! You can't put a similar sized T-28 together in wood or composite for less than twice the price, and it has more volume/presence overall than the CZ Cub, Cessna and even DRACO. You also don't seem to understand how much a model like this costs to produce and ship...and that an all-new design like a P-40 in this size would now have to sell at close to $900 due to tooling, component, labor and shipping costs being considerably higher than when this model was first designed/tooled.
