Top RC Scale T-28 Maiden Flight

- Jason Korst Flies his Top RC scale T-28 on its maiden flight at the Venice RC flying field on Feb 3, 2024. The aircraft has an 111 inch (2.8 meter) wingspan and flies with a DA 120 Twin engine. He is assisted by Ray Wellman and Brian Hague.

Gorgeous Aircraft. Thanks for sharing this. Puts me in mind of all the years of listening to aircraft warming up and run training flights at various Naval Air Stations.

Definitely needs a radial motor. It doesn’t sound right with the weeded whacker motor. A beautiful aircraft nonetheless. 👍

Still putting mine together. Be interested in AUW, what throws, CG you used and thoughts on general flight characteristics. Sank pretty quick with flaps on final, bit slow perhaps?

Beautiful scheme. Take the struts apart, replace the 80# springs with something with about 1/3 as stiff and clean out the glue they call grease and use some quality lithium grease. Then your oleos will actually function.

Just like a big trainer. Need to get rid of that gas 2-stroke chainsaw engine, and put a radial in it!!
