- I graduated pharmacy school in 2020, finished my residency in 2021, and have officially been a full-time clinical hospital pharmacist ever since! This video will be for those new pharmacists still trying to navigate CE hours, license renewals, and BCPS recertification. This video is also for anyone curious about the pharmacy profession and about what it is like to stay up-to-date as a pharmacist after pharmacy school.
I break down 4 reasons why pharmacist never stop studying after pharmacy school:
- Reason #1 01:08
- Reason #2 02:12
- Reason #3 03:00
- Reason #4 03:15

Hey Sarah, your videos have really helped me get a glimpse of my dream job of a pharmacist! Hope you could post a video about the job market saturation and whether or not hospital pharmacy is affected by it.
Aww thank you for watching! I can try to do a deep dive video on the topic, but I will need to do some research!
Hi Sarah , I just started following your content and I’ve been inspired a lot. I’m a 5th year Pharm D student in Ghana . Thanks a lot
Thank you for the support! Happy to hear I’ve inspired you 🥹

Hi Dr Sarah I love your videos
I have a question can you please make a detailed video on what options are available after pharm D to become a specialized pharmacist which options are available in UK kindly please share the whole process of applying and years of study and what job options are available after you become a specialized pharmacist
I hope you will reply ❤
Hi! Thank you for your support and watching my videos :) Usually to become a specialized pharmacist, it will require a total of 2 years of pharmacy residency after pharmacy school. The first year is usually a more general pharmacy residency and the 2nd year you will apply to a more specialty pharmacy residency program (ex. infectious disease, psychiatry, oncology, etc). Most people then obtain a BPS certification in that field (optional, but might as well since you are eligible and have the training/knowledge). Then you can start applying for jobs! I unfortunately do not know the job options in the UK since I am based in the United States :( Sorry!
Hi Sarah, thank you for such informative vlogs. Can you please tell what does life of a pharmacist look like after 10-20 years?
I am only 2-4 years out so that video will have to wait a couple more years 😅
@@SarahPharmD can you please tell about the lives of your seniors in hospital? Like what kind of work they do and how the responsibilities change as you progress in the career?
Hi Sarah, are there fixed shift timings or you have to extend working hours?
The shifts have fixed hours, but can vary depending on what shift it is!
