Another tip when crafting in your villager home: if you have a lot to craft, say fish bait, do it in their home. It won't be faster, but you will get a standing ovation every time you finish one which is pretty neat ❤
Idk if this is well known at this point, but someone I follow on Twitter gave a tip about the wasps: if you hold your net and shake the trees from the front, if a wasp falls out you can spam A and you’ll always catch them. Your character always turns toward the wasps when they fall, and unless there’s stuff around the tree that would make the nest fall behind the tree it should fall somewhere in the front where you can easily catch it. I’ve used this trick probably a million times now! 😄
It has never worked for me, I always do it diagonally from the side! if I do it from the front I always end up hitting the tree, no matter if the nest falls in front of the tree. for me what works when I shake it from one side so the nest falls to the oposite side one square away, which makes it almost impossible not to catch
Here's another one: if a balloon present gets close enough to you and low enough while you're on the edge of a cliff you can actually whack it out of the sky with your net! lol. I'm so glad you mentioned the party popper thing, that one's my favorite! I love scaring off the wasps, haha.

Our character could be a gnome, or maybe a human that was traded for a changeling! That’s my theory, anyway. Oh, also the whole dream realm concept. And the fact that the dodos are alive.

I don't know why people find the existence of irl like animals in the AC universe to be disturbing? Like, we have humans and we have apes. Apes are animal versions of us, essentially, and we don't freak out over them! I see the AC villagers as the humans, and their irl animal counterparts like apes to them. 😂✨

I actually do have a theory about that real animals vs animal villagers things. Most of time, we think of the villagers as humanoid animals, like a goat that walks on two legs, a chicken that can talk, a human sized hamster, etc. But I think they might actually be animalistic humans. So not an anthro frog, but rather a human with frog like features. So they're all *technically* humans, like the player character, but you are a full on human. I have no clue about the realistic human skeleton and models thought.

Face the tree with a net in your hand. Shake the tree and when wasps come out you'll automatically turn facing left. Use your net and you catch the wasp. They are worth 2500 bells each. It's super easy and beats trying to escape their sting.

Speaking of Music, I found an interesting Hidden Detail that I don't think anyone ever talked about before. So you can lay around the Musical Instruments items and play them Right? Even your Villagers can play them too. But what if I told you if you play one of the K.K Songs on a Speaker in between distance. The Instruments will also be in Sync and on correct Tone with the music playing in the background. Try experimenting with it Bob's Gang and you can have play music in any tone you like
It's my theory that just like how Humans evolved from apes, but we still have apes in our world, that in the Animal Crossing universe, some animals evolved alongside what eventually became Humans while others stayed how they were before. This is why we can still catch frogs, turtles, squids/octopus, and even have hamster cages with a little one running around inside of it even though these creatures are also villager types or special characters. The evolution pattern out of everyone in their world is quite normal, which is why none of them likely think about it being odd like here in our world. It would also explain why you don't see many Humans in game, as it's exclusive to players only, and presumably your parents who mail you letters from time to time. The Human population is likely smaller than that of Earth if other animals evolved to walk around on two feet, speak a universal language, wear cloths, etc. that (most) animals don't do on Earth. (Yes, most. Humans are animals too, lol. However other animals do have their own forms of communication in real life, even if it may not be with words like people.) Mind you this isn't based off any actual story said or told throughout the games, it's just a thought I once had that made sense to me. I adore animals and have also played these games since the very original, so it's sort of fun to make up (non creepy) theories on their world. (I have heard theories about... Science experiments and other- leaning towards a horror story- theories that I try to avoid along with those few... Creepy details in the game, like cursed dream towns, haunted artwork, that Alien that shows up at 3:33am on your TV, etc.)
Ahh, the Goofy/Pluto dichotomy that Animal Crossing has: why are there dogs who walk and talk and dogs that are pets? Appropriate sponsor with that in mind! ;)

My theory about the real animals vs villagers is that the villagers aren’t actually animals. Since robot villagers like sprocket and the frog have numbers on their back it shows they are 2 of many made and perhaps these are the shells for our villagers. Maybe it’s a Five Nights At Freddie’s situation where all of the villagers are actually these robots wearing the animal like suits over the top
the way i think about the animal villagers is that they are all different species from their actual animal counterparts. like some animal/human hybrid furry shit or something.. probably not what the actual lore says just what my head canon says lol
