#blender #b3d - Krátké a kreslené filmy
I'm a web developer that is trying to develop a game in his free time. So i wanted to learn blender. Looked through many guides on youtube to find something good and your guide is the most precise and beginner friendly one out there. Hopefully it gets finished someday.
Normally i dont write comments, but wanted to help by writing a comment in hopes algorithm pushes your tutorials to more people. Thank you so much for excellent tutorials that explain every little detail and question a beginner might have.
Thanks Draugluini, that means a lot! I'm glad they helped. Best of luck with your game!
I hope you find time for part 8 and 9.... what a cliff hanger this is. Thank you so much for your exellent tutorials!
Haha thanks John! Yeah maybe one day! I have all of the footage, just have to edit it all.
@@RussellMidfield It would also be very interesting to know what you are doing with your talent. Maybe a personal video about what you have done, if you have something free of NDA. It would be inspiring for your followers 👍😎❤️
@@engelbrecht777 Yeah this series is just so great and so incredibly helpful, that would be wonderful. Otherwise any kind of an update would be fun.
Thanks Jade! Yeah maybe one day, just so busy it's hard to find the time and energy to put it all together!
@@RussellMidfield still waiting for you! you did great job, so i really wish to see the complete course!
I hope your channel will blow up soon, cause those tutorials are top-notch! Thank you for your hard work!
Haha thanks BK! I'm glad they help! I hope your character turns out great!
in reference to the hand bones moving the horns;
"i don't want that, i want just the hands to move"
was unintentionally hilarious
Haha glad it provided a laugh 😅
This video tutorial series has to be one of the best I have come across, easy to follow and very clear instructions. Although I echo the same desire to see this series final parts, I hope that the busy schedule you have is a successful kind of busy and an enjoyable one! :)
Thanks Joshua! Haha yeah maybe one day I can muster up the energy!
I've enjoyed all episodes so far. Great content. I hope you find the time to finish the series. CZcams needs more content like this. Calm voice, simple, straightforward. Thank you!
Thanks Samuil! I'm glad they have helped! Yeah maybe one day, I'll muster up the energy to finish!
Really useful tutorials, thank you!
Thanks Esteban! I'm glad if it helped!
Thank you so much for this series. Plz make some time to publish the remaining two videos.
Thanks Kamal! I'm glad the videos are helpful! Oh yes hopefully soon I can finish the last two!
Cute monster. Thank you for the tutorial Russell, learn a lot❤
Thanks Xuan! You're so good, I love the Hulkbuster on your channel!
Thank you Russell😀
Amazing serie of tutorials! I'm just so sad there are not the final parts, that's where I struggle the most when I put everything in Unity
Thanks Alexandre! I'm glad they helped! Oh yes I definitely dropped the ball there, sorry. Maybe one day I'll muster up the energy to finish them! There are lots of videos out there though I'm sure!
Thank you so much! You are amazing!
Yeah no worries lumberjack! I'm glad if it helped!
Thank you bro :D
No worries bruh! Glad it helped!
thank you so much :)
Yeah no worries Kuna! I'm glad if it helped!
I have the issue of my weight paint physics not carrying over/showing in Unity. I did precisely THESE things for each bone for each part of my body "Cat Ear L, Cat Ear R, Boob L, Boob R, & Skirt"....
1: Entered Weight Paint Mode/Left click on rig & Shift+Left click on body.
2: Ctrl+Left click on targeted bone.
3: Weight painted desired area/body part for bone (I did this for all bones/body parts.)
4: Turned each bone into a spring bone (For movement.)
5: Tested physics with Interactive mode in pose mode (Looked AMAZING.)
6: Exported & made sure to select "Copy" & click the box icon to the right of it.
7: Imported avatar & applied avatar to scene & applied "Avatar Descriptor" as a component in Unity, pressed play mode,.... but NOOOOO physics :(
Was there a step i missed/skipped in Blender or maybe a setting or something that needed to be adjusted? ?
Hi! I just wanted to say I really appreciate this tutorial, and was wondering if there were plans to finish it off? Thank you.
Hey crazygaming! I'm glad if it has helped! Haha yeah it's possible, maybe one day if I can find the time and energy 😅
Hi, your series is great! Im having an issue after i have applied auto weights, i have color variations in my character. It looks like the colors change at the seams i made for the UV unwrap, every section is a different shade. At this point i have my rig and weight painting done, its all working great. I wish i could add an image. ive tried googling it. Maybe my normal map got reset...its all black now. =(
Thanks Seth! Oh hmm, maybe try baking it again but change the Normal Map to Non-Color before baking. That might help with the seams!
Thanks for the lovely videos! But When will the next parts be uploaded?? I'm waiting for them~. Happy new year and wish your happy new year.
You're welcome younhee! I'm glad they helped! Oh haha yeah sorry, I'll try and get to them soon. Happy New Year!
Hey, I was wondering if you could make a quick excurse how to organize a charakter in Blender, so that it fits to Unity? :) I look forward to the last to parts!
Oh yeah for sure! I'll try and find some time!
Hi, may I know if you will publish the part 8 and 9? It's over 1 year since the part 7 been posted.
Oh gosh, at this rate probably not, it's hard to find time!
Hey, I'm having an issue - when I pose the leg then go to sculpt mode, the armature modifier says "not supported in sculpt mode", and it resets the leg to its original position while in sculpt mode. Any idea how to fix that?
Oh hmm, are your On Cage and Edit Mode toggles on under your Armature modifier?
I should add, you can find the On Cage and Edit Mode toggles at the 10:16 mark of the video.
Okay, all sorted - at some point I didn't apply the multires modifier which I guess was preventing the armature modifier from working correctly, so I had to get rid of the shape keys, apply the multires, then redo the shape keys and it worked properly from there.
Hmm nice I'm glad it worked out!
Hey! Great tutorial and patiently waiting for the next parts. In the meantime I have an issue where the Head vertex group is duplicated and I’m not sure why? I’m making a different model than yours so it has other bones like a neck and tail. I had to weight paint it twice because there were two head options and it’s kinda annoying but not the end of the world because it still moves in pose mode, but I’m worried it’ll cause issues in the future.
Oh weird! What happens when you delete one of the duplicate vertex groups?
@@RussellMidfield I think that worked? Thanks! Also, if i want to add something to the model after doing all these previous steps, is that possible? Ive already retopologized etc so i dont know if that would be possible but i want to edit the model so that id be able to make the mouth open and close (right now its just closed lips)
please tell me if there will be a continuation of this lesson animation and import and unity?
Oh yeah eventually haha sorry for the delay!
Thank you very much I look forward to continuing, I redid all your work and I really look forward to animation lessons, you are an excellent teacher and a real professional.
Thanks Trident! I appreciate you saying that! It's nice to know they help, makes the effort and time worth it!
Thanks for the great tutorials. However, I believe that this is intermediate tutorials but not beginner tutorials. This tutorials expect the students have some prior knowledge in Blender such as Rigging, Driver, Modifiers, Animation, Normal Map Baking, etc.
Oh sorry about that!
Will you be finishing this series? I hope so because it's been so helpful!
Yeah hopefully sometime soon! I'm glad they have been helpful!
@@RussellMidfield glad to hear it. I've tried several times to get into blender with different tutorials. This is the first time I've made real progress!
Oh that's awesome! Sorry I've been slow on this one haha
Hey, awesome series. Greetings from Germany. Could please continue with part 8 and 9. I really need those parts for my Charakter in unity. I am not sure how to organize him, with regards to switching weapons and armor. Do I need to separate body parts for example the arm, to have a fixed point to attach the weapon? Thanks man. Really nice channel.
Thanks Joe! Oh yes haha, sorry I know its been a while, hopefully soon! No you don't need a separate arm, just create a bone for the sword, you can parent the sword bone to the hand bone as one way.
Alright, sounds good so far, I assume I can put different weapons to that with different animators to it then, right? How does this work with armor, do I also create another bone for a helmet to put the helmet on it for example ?
when our part 8 and 9 coming?
Oh gosh haha yeah it's on my to-do list! I'm halfway done editing Part 8 so hopefully soon!
Great tutorial as usual, but there are more gaps in explanation than in previous videos. At 13:30 you reset the pose with a chain of A, Alt+R and Alt+G. For me it seems to be a commands to reset rotations and positions for all poses. Maybe I am not very attentive, but I didn't know we could do this. And additionally we do things which purpose is unknown, like defining a formula for driver. Like, why it is a cubic equation, how should we guess it if we do another model. If it is possible, could you please explain what is the purpose of commands we are using. I know it is quite a lot to explain in video, but I would be grateful if you could at least name them so we could google them.
P.S. I will wait for the 8th part calmly and impatiently. Thank you for your hard work.
Thanks Alyo! Yeah sorry about that, I didn't do a very good job here. I'll try and be better next time.
@@RussellMidfield Nah, it is not blaming. Just wanted your tutorials be more popular.
It's good feedback, thanks! It will make my channel better!
Part 8 ans 9 still missing 😒 Thats sad
Haha yeah, hopefully I'll find the time and energy to finish it off someday!
@@RussellMidfield that Would be awesome ✨ i finished your tutorial a few Month ago and my Monster is Waiting 😄
Dude can u just import videos 8 and 9 tutorial with edit or not . i just understood ur narrative :///
Haha thanks man, it's true, probably be better than not having the series finished. I'll try and put something half decent together soon.
@@RussellMidfieldYes, please!! Even after over two years, this is still one of the clearest tuts for this on YT!
Haha thanks Greg!
🤦♂🤷♂
Yeah not the best sorry!
@@RussellMidfield Make better. Im waiting 😎
