So we are back and we have another awesome film for shark week! This is my first time watching and this is from 2018! This is titled THE MEG! Previously thought to be extinct, a massive creature attacks a deep-sea submersible, leaving it disabled and trapping the crew at the bottom of the Pacific. With time running out, a visionary oceanographer recruits rescue diver Jonas Taylor to save the crew and the sea itself from an unimaginable threat -- a 75-foot-long prehistoric shark known as the Megalodon.

The Meg is one of my favorite shark movies along with Meg 2, Jaws, and 5 headed shark attack. The Megalodon is one of my favorite prehistoric sea creatures along with the Mosasaurus from Jurassic World.

I haven’t seen The Meg until recent years because I was curious about the sequel. To me, it was a great shark film, full of thrills and chills. Kinda like Jurassic Park, but with prehistoric sharks.
Jason Statham was the perfect choice imo cause he was a diver so he knew more or less exactly how to swim & simulate these extremes

Masi Oka the japanese guy who sacrifices himself in the mini-sub is one of the main cast members of the TV series Heroes (2006-2010)

Just lend you guys know since you watch Jaws. Pippin the dog was named after the first dog and jaw's one before the kid got eaten at the beach.

Deep blue sea in my opinion the best shark movie of all time definitely in my top 5 as number 1

That caught shark was a Megalodon, a juvenile Meg. The larger shark was its mother!!

"It was like the size of a WHALE!" Yeah, Megalodon was not only the SIZE of a whale, but when it was alive, it HUNTED whales. However, this film puts the Meg's size estimates at actually BIGGER than what science says they actually got to. The film has Megalodon at an average length between 70-90 feet long, whereas I had always imagined growing up that 75 feet was the MAX length for a Megalodon. But IRL science says Meg's maximum length was about 60 feet (although new evidence has emerged that suggests it could have been longer).
There was almost NOTHING that could challenge Megalodon for control of the ocean. But it did have some rivals, and one of its biggest was a prehistoric sperm whale named Livyatan.
