  • this is an experiment to see if I can turn a flask or canteen....the test is really for the joints and glue because wooden boats have held back water for thousands on years.....I hope you enjoy the video

      The joint has blown overnight but is still holding liquid....so fail...I'm not put off I'll have another go at some time...thanks for watching

    That is a great project and definitely a good idea to try it out with old rubbish booze before putting good stuff in there. The shape and window makes me think of an old divers helmet.

      You know what....I'm going to have to watch the video to see what I said....anyway my wife plays my videos and put likes on them.....doesn't mean she actually watches them😅 so I can say anything 😀

    Beautiful job Chris. Sorry about the leak but it could have been Irish whiskey.
    I just finished an oak Irish wedding goblet for my cardiologist and his wife for their Anniversary (30)
    Came with Tullamore Dew Irish.
    It should be safe because the age it in oak barrels.

      I don't think I could waste a good brew on this flask....it leaked all over my work bench 😐 it was worth a go. thanks for watching

      Well don't copy me...came home from work to find it leaking all over my work bench...other canteens to inspire you on CZcams...or if you use mine for inspiration make it better...Good luck..also thanks 😊

      It wasn't the knot hoke...the middle section blew....badly...😔 however I will re- visit this one...cheers
