I wouldn't say Hobbes was terribly pragmatic. He is a staunch supporter of absolute monarchical rule and asserts that without it, humanity would descend into chaos.

I lean more to Hobbs’s way of thinking. Most people, are selfish and only care about them selfs and their family. It’s human nature.

@@eddyk2016 Damn, I wrote this almost two years ago and I've changed a lot in my way of thinking since lol. I agree with you though.
