One thing overlooked in evaluating a trade is the price paid. Michal Bridges is a good player but to give up five first round draft picks and more for a third-option-player could be counter productive when Knicks have OG. Anunnoby that gives them exactly the same thing that Bridges gives them. Essentially, they have given up on resigning OG because they have no more positions for OG in the starting line-up and they are not going to invest $40m or more for a back-up player. The price they paid is a price that's paid to acquire a superstar, a franchise player. If the Knicks will essentially get the same thing they got from OG from Bridges, why waste the draft picks? This is a trade that the Knicks may later regret. There is no new value added by the trade yet they gave up five first round draft picks plus a player. Wow!!!
