Klay Thompson looks really good for all contending teams right now. Look at what Boston did to Dallas. When the defense blitz your best scorer you really need a reliable easy to assist to shooter. Scratch what happen on their recent run, Klay's reputation as an elite shooter is very tempting. Plus if he's in a new environment, I'm sure he'll be back to grinding again.

If the Bucks are to have a chance, Lopez has to be traded or made a backup center. Too slow. Barely rebounds. Declining offensive production. Can't adapt to Defensive schemes. Getting blown by multiple times a game. That is unacceptable for a center of his size. Middleton should be up for consideration given his age and constant injuries.

Problem is Bucks can't trade and receive a similar salary due to them being in the 2nd apron, they cant be involved in any sign and trades with other 2nd apron teams, they can't sign anyone to a mid level due to the 2nd apron, only vet minimums. They would have to get real crafty in 3 team trades to take back picks and probably a really young rookie contract type player. Whats the market for that? And what team would actually want middleton in that case. Lopez they might be able to move but i don't think moving Middleton will land them of anyone significant due to the Bucks salary and 2nd apron rules.

The Bucks have almost no wiggle room. Their cap space situation is a disaster. What no one seems to be talking about is that GIANNIS put the Bucks in this position.
Hire Thanasis as a special assistant, but all these years taking up a roster spot? That's on GIANNIS.
Middleton is being paid like LeBron James but he's never been more than a support role, with moments of taking the lead. Now he is even less. Why didn't he get traded or made to take a pay cut? That's on GIANNIS.
I like that the Bucks went out and got Lillard. He should have been the perfect compliment to Giannis. But it's not working out? Why? Because Middleton's friendship meant more than doing what was best for the team. I hated that the Bucks traded Holiday instead of Middleton. To make things worse, the Bucks got so little for Holiday. Why? GIANNIS put that pressure on the Bucks to make a move, make it now, and made it public. That killed the Bucks from a negotiation standpoint. That's on GIANNIS.
GIANNIS has put the Bucks in a terrible position with his passive aggressive public barbs. He forced the Bucks to make immediate deals that hurt the future of this team with his threats to leave the team. This reminds me a lot of Le Bron James and his manipulation with the Cavaliers. Players who do this to teams are not team players. Giannis could have handled things so much better to help the Bucks make SMART moves.
I don't see the Bucks winning the title again and I see Giannis pulling a James on the Bucks. Sad as it is to say, the Bucks best move if trying to build for the future, is to trade Giannis for a killer deal that gets them top players and tons of 1st round unprotected picks as far out as possible. Otherwise, this team will implode. Giannis will cry for a trade. Bucks will get little for him in order to appease him. Stop trying to appease him! Players who pretend to be GMs hurt their teams.
Oh, and Giannis, you can't shoot. At least make your free throws. You talk about dedication and expecting it of those around you, but you can't shoot free throws and with your style of play, missing free throws is a MAJOR FLAW in your game. The team cannot depend on you at the end of close games and I stress PLAYOFF games. You should be throwing 300 free throws after every practice when you are most tired until you can make them in your sleep.

  • @runninwildwithmilwaukeebuck

I hope Giannis is giving Jon Horst nightmares when he's sleeping because Jon keeps drafting all of these wings & guards and then burying them at the end of the bench when Brooke and Khris are getting old. Khris is just getting too old and injury prone to get another 100+ million dollar contract. And they don't seem to have Brookes long term replacement

It's always Giannis with the pressure. First of all Giannis is not going to ask out and you know that. Giannis repeatedly says he loves Milwaukee. Y'all love putting pressure on Giannis while other dudes are just walking around free.
The problem is Damian Lillard has been exposed in Milwaukee (shooting 42% and 35%). ITS LAME TIME IN MILWAUKEE. We thought he was gonna help Giannis but the Bucks actually got even worse with him and y'all are quiet. You guys love hating on Giannis but don't have the energy to give him credit.

Also, there's reports out there that Damian Lillard was wanted Adrian Griffin fired. Talking of Jrue Holiday? Ramona Shelburne said on ESPN that a guy who does the scouting for the Bucks was the one who kept pushing for the Bucks to trade for Damian Lillard. Also, Damian Lillard is on the record for saying he wanted to play with Giannis even before the 2021 championship and that they had been trying to play together. I feel like I was the only person in the world saying it was a horrible trade with the bucks did. Not just because Holiday ended up going to the Celtics. Only because they traded so much. Just for one player who is not even in his young 20s. He’s older now. Just think about trading him for holiday. I think there’s like a seven point difference on who scores more but holiday is a 10 times better defender and already proven to win a championship. You gave up your future literally for an older player. It made no sense to me. I even said it at the time go back and watch all the videos when it happened. I’m sure you’ll see a few of my comments, saying how bad of a trade that was. In three years, Giannis might leave he will probably be gone and then you won’t even have any pics. Your team is going to be horrible in a few years. Will probably get injured again next season most of the season because he’s getting older

I'm beginning to despise ESPN and their "analyst" takes. The fact of the matter is they have less knowledge and experience of the players they are criticizing...that goes for us fans too. They push agendas and narratives rather than report on the games and players. Why is Bronny dominating the draft coverages when he's a non-factor to any team that would pick him up. Anyone that has watched the games(not just highlights) can see Giannis' passion for the game and wanting to win championships. Unfortunately, sometimes the organization fails to put together a team to win championships and injuries are a thing too. Instead of trying to validate our opinions and putting others down, let's see the players for what they are actually doing which is to realize their dreams against all odds and criticisms of people that aren't qualified to critique them. I just love basketball and basketball is in a good place right now...the media not so much. Sure there are players that want the bag or the glory without the work...but Giannis is a real one.

Bucks wouldn't be able to trade for Klay because it would be a sign and trade and both teams are in the 2nd apron so thats against the league rules now.

As a Celtic fan I am still not worried about the Knicks 1974 is real they have not been to a conference finals since the 90s. Giannis and Lilard scare me way more than all of what the Knicks got.

@@emeraldcrowley9837 Is this on past merit or how they’re currently constructed? Because Milwaukee has regressed defensively and Dame looks worse. And the Heat lost shooting after 2023 while Butler ages. It’s ok tho you’ll just be caught by surprise when Knicks look like champion contenders next year
