    Josh Allen type player potential?

With how Hartman did last year, I'd say it takes a full year to get good chemistry and trust going with a totally new WR group. 😕

I hope he doesn't start lol 😂 should be Minchey starting, with Angeli at backup.

Minchey had an above average spring game, not even great should of had 2 picks with the dropped 1 being thrown right to the defender and all the sudden he should start ahead of the huge, mobile, 3000 yard passer at Duke of all places why? Because Riley got hurt against ND last year and it ruined his whole season?

@drumusic5665 you need to rewatch that on peacock. Minchey looked better than everyone but Carr the freshman lol did you not watch? Angeli looked slow and stiff. And Boot Boy was a no show lol what spring game did you watch?

@@nicholasgreen1423why are you being a hater? Support all the players and let the best man start. The odds are on it being Riley Leonard. It’s like a 99% chance. And to top that off, Minchey’s decision making still needs some work. Notre Dame’s defense during the spring game wasn’t doing anything crazy and he was the only QB that threw a pick (almost 2). I don’t believe he’s ready yet. Maybe by next year he’ll be at spot where he can take over but that competition in the room is going to be intense and that’s only a good thing.

@ItsHorizonz you believe what you want to believe. Doesn't make me a hater. The fact that you won't give Minchey props or even a chance to join the competition is sad. Leonard does not have the skill to automatically leap frog the entire depth chart just based on game experience, especially having a continuous hurt wheel. Lol is it crazy to not want to waste the time with a one year transfer player. How's Minchey, Angeli, Carr , gonna improve sitting the bench. I'm crazy for wanting a 3 man qb battle until week 1 instead of anointing a kid who barely made it at Duke lol as a 50% completion passer. Get real. And We shall see lol go Irish.

@@nicholasgreen1423 yeah but you’re discounting a player that Marcus Freeman went out of his way to recruit to the team because he played at Duke and dealt with injuries last year. If we didn’t need him and Angeli and Minchey were the answer, then riddle me this genius, why did we go out of our way to get a transfer?
You’re also acting like experience doesn’t play a massive roll at the QB position. If our goal is the CFP, having the most experienced QB starting, who was a target in the off season, should be a huge difference.
And sure, if Minchey and co are all popping off every single practice and if Leonard doesn’t heal right and comes back looking shoddy, like he can’t win us the opener, then let them duel it out. But wasting NIL money for a guy who has shown he has enormous proven talent is stupid. You seem too emotionally invested in the fact that Minchey and the rest are our first real talented QB recruits in forever. Put that aside and think about who gives us the best chance to win every game rn. A fully healthy Riley Leonard is a 100% the right answer.

I am really tired of hearing about Riley being a runner. Running will not win anything. The problem is that he is mediocre as a passer.
