He was all over the road , clear signs of some sort of impairment. The convict not allowed to have the gun murdered the cop to get away.
Again the probable cause to stop was crossing center line. It is clear on dash cam.
Thank goodness there are actually people who have some sense! DeWalt will have to eventually pay for his crime. It is just sad that most people whing about crooked cops would be the first ones crying for them I'd something went wrong in their lives

He was nonviolent and the two officers repeatedly tasered him, and after the 2 cops refused he defended himself. Hopefully he gets an actual jury of HIS peers, and is found not guilty. "I smell weed" is the typical police excuse. At no point did either officer attempt to DEESCALATE. They yell, scream, threaten, and then finally attack. Disgraceful!
The car apparently wasn't his. That could mean he was transporting something that shouldn't have been there.
Though on a more human side, I would agree with wanting to and defending yourself if he truly had nothing of the sort -
but it still does not excuse complete refusal to cooperate. The lady was plenty sweet at first and he was - allegedly - on
the wrong side of the road (potentially endangering people on said road), which was the reason for the stop.
Most officers wouldn't even remain as professional as these did. Any other dude - black or otherwise - would stop the squad car somewhere private
and pacify the animal some - before carrying on. Potholes are one hell of a thing.
The police got it coming and no one else else to blame but themselves.

How? I’ve been pulled over in Blount county and searched by a black cop without them citing any weed smell. I simply followed what they asked me to do as any normal person does. He was being an idiot and escalated the situation and as an result will spend the rest of his life in jail
@@Officialbarz let me correct your statement..... They pulled over a driver whom was all over the road and could have hit your Granny going the opposite direction. Then the low life refused to get out of the car after being asked. There was no racial profiling.

I can answer that for you. The training alone won't be enough to cap size what a normal person has up there sleeve, so in other words she wasn't that bright. That part.

Uh, they were removing him from the vehicle. Kind of standard to have both officers on the same size. As for the guy saying they refused a K9, they didn't. Repeatedly it was said they do not have one.. and one is not required if one is not available.
My comment involves the taser and its seeming lack of effectiveness. The slain officer had administered one tazer round which was totally ineffective- while the subject was arguing and pleading with the female cop - it just had no effect at all. The slain officer then administered a second taser round which seemed to capture the subject's attention. But the subject was still able to grab his pistol and shoot and kill the male cop and then also shoot the female cop. In other words the lazer did not incapacitate him hardly at all as witnessed by his ability to shoot two officers. In fact, in video which wasn't shown at the end, and by report, the subject was administered a THIRD taser round, and yet was still able to cause this much damage. I have seen where larger men - overweight and obese - do not respond as well to taser deployments. Sometimes they can even charge at officers while tazed. The whole tazer system needs to be reviewed and assessed because it certainly did not assisted these officers in carrying out their duties.

Every time a cop told me they smelled weed, sure enough, i had recently smoked weed in the car if not just thrown out the J when they were trying to pull me over. I let them search every time and always get released, sometimes with just a warning for the speeding or whatever PC they used for the stop.
But it isnt required to let them search this isnt nazi Germany

They stopped the video before Greg shuts the driver door to continue torturing. In his power driven lust to let the driver know he can do whatever he wants, Greg walks in front of the driver to get a better view of the pain he is inflicting. Appearantly the driver had enough. And I agree. This should be self defense. But we know jurys are not our peers. Most normal people get removed from the jury pool.

What video they showed, it appeared as though they were harassing him. He made a comment on having surgery on his knee, which may be another reason he is refusing to get out of the car. The deputy killed was blindsided by both the suspect and female officer. So much can be learned and hindsight is 20/20. Condolences to the family, law enforcement, and community!

Pennsylvania vs Mims states that an officer CAN make the “driver” exit the vehicle even on a traffic stop.
“IF” an officer sees illegal substances or detects the odor of controlled substances, that equates to probable cause to search the vehicle, then EVERYONE has to exit the vehicle. Failure to do so is a crime itself.

But he had issues because he had a gun that was gonna send him back to the pen.
So did he have marijuana or not? If he didn’t that female officer should be fired. And dude should be freed, They should’ve just gave him a ticket and send him on his way. If he did have marijuana and she actually smelt it it justifiable he should go to prison.
First probable cause was crossing center line. Second he could have gotten out and just maybe things would not have escalated. He did not want to get out for the simple fact he had a gun. He did not want them to find it. He could have beat the marijuana part if they found none in vehicle and none by drug test. Question is did they drug test him after arrest?

I frequent west town mall a lot due to my job, and i cant BEGIN to tell you how often I smell marijuana on pant saggin low lifes who feed off the taxpayers, yet as often as im in there and smell that scent, I NEVER witness cops harassing those leaches, and its as if they bathed in it. However, this here?? This becomes a blown out event that costs the life of someone you can either side with or not. The legalization of marijuana remains ineffective for the State of Tennessee, and I HATE the odor of it. However, in a case like this, would a man be deceased at this moment had this drug been legalized? You have two sides to any story. This one here involves two deputies conducting their job, whereas others declare it a moment of harassment and possibly choose to concur on the matter of race. However you look at it, a victim lays dead due to the circumstances, and thats fact over fiction, but did it need to escalate to this level, or were the deputies only doing their job? As law enforcement, you understand the risks and consequences, so it comes with part of the job, and sadly, theres a family who also understands this.

My thought, prayers, and condolences to officer McGowans family, friends, and fellow officers. Wishes of wellness for officer Eggers and a swift and speedy recovery. I used to cook at a gas station where office McGowan ate sometimes. Double hamburger, ketchup only. My wife also worked there, we were both really sad to learn this happened, and remembered his order as soon as we saw his face. So strange to remember talking to him while his burgers were cooking the last time I saw him, and find out his life was cut short like this. Rest in paradise bud. 😢

In the fully released video of the murder of McCowan and the shooting of Eggers by a Violent Career criminal with 26 offenses going back over 2 decades. DeHart was stopped for driving over the center line numerous times and even holding in the opposite lane for about 10 seconds. His reckless driving is why Eggers initially stopped him. I am grateful he didn't kill a family with his reckless driving, and grateful for Eggers pulling him over when she did. Eggers spoke with respect to DeHart and she even entertained speaking to his "NANA" which she didn't have to. He was not defending his life, he was not targeted because as he states "its because I'm black", his life was in no danger at any time. No police pulled a gun on him. He was tasered and that is less than lethal force. DeWalt, like the felon he is knew that them searching the vehicle would uncover the gun. And he would then return to prison! (Where he should have already been) They had probable cause to search the vehicle, he knew this, and refused to exit the vehicle as Eggers stated she smelled Marijuana (and no they did not need a drug dog to come search the vehicle, you all watch too much TV) And if police ask you to exit your vehicle you have to as per Pennsylvania VS Mimms (look it up) while he was being tazed he pulled out his illegal firearm and shot McCowan and Eggers, firing 5 times. He then pulled out the probes and while McCowan lay dying or already dead DeWalt then again pointed the gun at him, pulled the trigger again shooting him for his own sick reasons and probably pleasure said, "I told you Mother f*****s". Such an upstanding citizen in fear of his life. Give me a break!
