    Hi, just found your channel as I'm a complete new bee to soap making and I'm in awe of your designs ( some day😉😉!!!) Thanks so much for sharing your ideas. I did make my first very basis Melt & Pour a few days ago, which I was delighted with, but I find the soap takes a while to lather up and I see the color running off when I use - is that normal ? Appreciate any advise, thanks

    • @koalasoap8435
      @koalasoap8435  Před 4 lety +1

      The color running off will depend on the colorant that you are using. I find that the lather may be dependent on the base you are using. if you go to the melt and pour soap boards on FB, there may be some tips for you.

    Advice please ! Every " stained glass " colorant I can find, says it bleeds or migrates. 2 questions.... Did this bleed into the white and secondly, if it bleeds/migrates and micas usually don't, can you use mica for the main color and stained glass for the embeds, without fear of it bleeding into the mica ? ( Am thinking of doing a school soap, colors are black and gold, was thinking about doing AC as the bar color, and use a yellow stained glass as ball embeds. I was wanting the embeds to be transparent ) Any help sure is appreciated !

    Does your soap sweat after you reheat your melt and pour? Royalty Soaps has made a statement to never reheat melt and pour. So I was just wondering if that was a problem for you.

    • @adogcalledkuttus
      @adogcalledkuttus Před 5 lety +1

      You can heat it. Heating, re heating, re reheating... no problem at all. If the base has not crossed it's shelf life, you can use it any time you want. There is always some extra base remain in a soap making process. Keep the extra in a container and use it next time. 👍👌🤝

    • @adogcalledkuttus
      @adogcalledkuttus Před 5 lety

      Luna, just hold your pot tightly. If u can hold it then it's the right time. Matter of practice. Otherwise use a thermometer like Anna. In other videos Anna repeatedly says about the temperature to pour. Actually it depends on the type of the base. Ask your manufacturer what's the melting point of their base. Don't hesitate. They can help u. Every manufacturer, 's base is different. So it's better to consult them first. And lastly... your experience with it.
