    Good vid. Wait until you try to change that lower fuel filter on a bx25d with the guard under there. Needless to say I'm not impressed with any kubota I've ever had to work on .

    May want to change coolant as well they use standard green also front axle oil can be UDT fluid or 80W90 gear oil. Good video !

      Hey thanks for the comment Michael! You're right, I did the front axle about 20 hours ago but don't have footage. I should probably get some coolant to change that as well.
      Thanks for watching!

    Thanks so much Neal, just bought a bx25 with 900+ hours on it. I don't have the strongest grip anymore... hope i can get this done myself. Any extra tips would be helpful...

      Thanks for the comment! I don't really have any other tips, a filter wrench should make removal of the hydraulic and oil filters easier for you. I like the type that are like a big pair of c shaped channel lock pliers instead of the bands. Otherwise, another viewer mentioned to change the antifeeze as well per the maintenance intervals, which might be a good idea since you're close to 1000hrs. I believe there's a radiator drain on the bottom of the radiator you can add a hose to and unscrew it. Then I would flush it a bit with the hose and fill with the Kubota diesel antifreeze.

    Getting ready to do my BX25 for the upcoming season. Do you not have to reduce the fuel pressure before doing the fuel filter?

    • @NealORussa
      @NealORussa  Před 3 lety

      No sir it's low pressure at the two filter locations leading to the fuel pump. The hoses are just held on with spring clamps. High pressure fuel happens after the mechanical fuel pump on the engine and leads to the injectors.

    Uh, how about cleaning the hydraulic screen?

    I have my volume as loud as it will go, and I can't hear a word. It's just mumbling. Too bad because it looks like a very well produced video.

      Hey Tom, thanks for the comment. This was one of my earlier videos and I was not quite as good at the video editing and sound back then. I will note that throughout the video sometimes you can hear me loud and clear and sometimes its hard to hear. I would check the volume on your computer (usually you can click on the speaker in bottom right of your windows taskbar) as well as the volume adjuster within the youtube player in the bottom left of the video.

      @@NealORussa Hey Neal. The problem with volume, I realize now, is with my PC and my old age hearing loss, LOL, and not your video. I didn't let it go long enough to realize that I can hear it if all is quiet around me, and I have my hearing aids in. (Getting old is a bitch) Thanks for an excellent video. Very helpful to me. Thanks for taking the time.
