+mikedawesofficial we're really looking forward to welcoming you back to Wells!
You are fantastic, I don't think people realise how difficult that really is to do. Amazing musicality.

It's amazing.

My guitar doesn’t do that
you need to buy the expansion pack for it to be able to do this.

The fact he was playing all that while speaking to the audience at the same time.... none musicians might not appreciate how impressive and difficult that is
you know non musicians aren't idiots, right?
@@Dllrisin No, they definitely are.
Heeeey, why didn't he sing both parts on top of everything else?🥰
@dzello 100% 😂 "and drake don't even need autotune" head ass
Yes rlly
FIRST he plays the bass notes.. then adds hammer-ons... adds the drum beat... adds harmonics... tells a joke... plays the melody.. does a backflip... plays with no hands.. juggles a couple of flaming bowling pins, fires himself out of a cannon... and still manages to keep the rhythm.

After years of finding excuses, this finally motivated me to pick up my guitar and sell it.

You've motivated me to get off YT!

Well played sir, well played!

Is it just me or are there really more, absolutely incredible guitarists in the world than ever before?
Maybe it is because you can see them on the web now, while in former times you would never meet most of them and therefore they could not persuade you that they can play pretty well.
This has to be one of the most beautiful pieces of music I’ve ever heard.

This guy literally having a conversation while simulating 3 instruments at once. I can barely play just a lead guitar part. For any non-musicians out there, this isn't exactly easy. Not the most impossible thing in the world, but definitely not easy.
I love to watch these great musicians that are not famous or glamorous. It shows just how many great musicians are never discovered. Becoming a famous musician is so often like hitting the lottery. I hope they realize that. It will keep them humble.

6 years later, still holds up!
My dad’s a musician and song writer. When I was seventeen my folks asked me what I wanted to do with myself and I said “music obviously”. They warmed me that music was quite hard and you had to have a certain personality type to get it done. So you might want to find yourself a back up they said. I’m now 32 with two degrees behind me and close to £100,000 student debt and I work as a therapist on the stroke wards - and I love it!
But this feels like what might have happened if I said “na I don’t care if it’s hard, let’s have it!”
Never too late though.

I'm unaware of having ever watched anyone play the strings _above_ the fretboard as part of a song. Just beautiful!
Walk Off The Earth does a cover of this same song, in which they play in the "forbidden zone," above the fretboard. That video went viral and is commonly know as "5 people 1 guitar."
Watch Rory Gallagher shadow play. It's mental.
Check out John Mayer’s solo on the live version (“where the light is” concert) of “Gravity”…… Plays a harmonic then physically bends the strings between the fret board and tuning pegs! 😳🤌👌🏽 Sends my Dog into a howling “harmony” every time without fail! 🤣🤷♂️🫶🏼😎🦮🐶🐾🦴

And any guy who can strumm and actually has vocals developed will outshine him 10 to 1. Not only taking any and all women home (except maybe the ONE music nerd that is never there), but also leaving a far better impression behind. Not to mention: soloing is not that impressive. Yeah...dude has definitely never lived 5 minutes without a guitar in his hands. I am a wannabe musician myself, so I can relate to two things. Keeping rythm and playing a consistent beat/bass is actually the easy part, because it's muscle memory. HOWEVER, everything else, including addressing the audience with perfect speech and adding the other layers is mighty impressive.
Like a ventriloquist or beatboxer, you have to come up with ways to make certain things work and THAT is less than 1% of people with God given special talent that allows them to do this.
