- Ten months after the small California town of Midwich was struck by a mysterious event during which everyone in the village fell unconscious at once, 10 local women give birth on the same day. As the unsettlingly calm and unemotional children grow at an abnormally fast rate.

This sounds wrong without context

@@blatantslander I mean like, they did just die.
*It's ingenious how they were able to put emotion, loving, loss, silver hair and alien powers into a juicy storyline where lore can be found within children.*
They are from Type 2 civilization

I haven't seen this movie in so long! David was my favorite because out of the others, he was different. He learned how to feel emotions.
Yeah I loved David too he was so cute and he even stood up for his mom when he pushed Mara yelling leave her alone David was awesome and the 2 kids that played David and. Are we’re best friends then but dunno if they still are they ,any have lost touch
same david is so cute
I love how he turned a sad horror into a comedy. Very witty.
"Eyes are windows to the soul"
I think this implies that eye contact is necessary to read their thoughts and mind control them. (As you may have known). Thus, avoiding eye contact is probably the best way to prevent them.
Why did they not try covering the kids' eyes and/or blinding them. (While avoiding eye contact ofc)
@@vuedanto8576 uhm..did you not see how those kids brutally murdered adults who tried to touch them??
Did anyone ever tried sunglasses?
Or a mirror?

Trivia: This was the final feature film completed by Christopher Reeve before a horse riding accident on May 27, 1995 which left him paralyzed.
This is a typically underrated John Carpenter movie. And I still miss Christopher Reeve 😢
Never read the book, but the atmosphere feels exactly like a Wyndham novel. I'm off to look for the audio book, because I am too lazy to read.

I think i have an idea lol i don't know know if it's done lmao i called it, "our last kiss" featuring 2 best freinds 1 is secretly a alien and the other is a human the alien side were planning to destroy the human realm even thought the alien friend doesn't want to but has to do it for the sake of her realm when she returns she has to leave her friend so when she kills her she won't have to endure the guilt and pain but when she is trying to leave her something unexpected happens a bomb was accidently shot to the city where the 2 friends where living at which leads to half of the city being destroyed while the other half is left unttacked but the alien freind was actually scared and cared for her friend so she secretly took her to the ship without her people knowing but they knew since they're aliens and have improved senses but they allowed her to stay since the alien friend begged for them to let her stay so they let her stay not knowing she was actually giving information to them humans but eventually they found out beacuse the humans sent a nuclear weapon to destroy them which resaulted in the ship crashing down and the humans to find them and they took them aliens to experiment on them and they also took the alien friend the human friend was devastated and so she freed her and let her live with her in her grandparents house and....(alrighy continuing) what she didn't know that her grandfather was a fbi agent the worked for the government and with that he started giving them information and they suprised them and captured her the friend was devastated because she lost her only friend that understood her so she went on a mission to find her and free her and while she was doing that the aliens survived and went to get more gear so they can destroy earth and they thought that the aliend freind was dead beacuse she was taken by the humans so they did not bother looking for her even tho she was alive and well and while that was happening the friend managed to get some people to help her free the alien friend and so the four people went on a near-impossible mission (im getting lazy lol) to free the alien friend and while that the 3 people got killed and only the friend remains and after some hard time she finally managed to free her and while that was happening the aliens were about to the destroy earth firing a laser that can destroy anything (btw it was night) and all earth thought it just some meteor while the 2 friends knew what was happening [WARNING: LGBT SCENE] so they shared a last kiss before they died THE END.

Because it’s harder to get >:)
We could just use blood as ink

@@Automaton_unit You're a Imposter, you can do that

I feel so bad for the poor kids. They do have emotion, it's just that it's deep deep in their hearts and they cannot show it unless they are taught
Tyyy for the likes ♡♡♡
With the exception of David, the rest were all clearly psychopaths. Even if you try to teach them to feel emotion, you're likely only going to result in them learning how to pretend to have emotion and how to recognize which behaviors are actually anti-social and will cause them trouble. It doesn't mean that they will feel compassion or sympathy any more than a wood chipper would care if you got your hand caught in it. They have found actual brain structure differences in psychopaths.
They are basically psychotic kids who don't have any emotions or soul. Except for David.
Umm- I guess but at the same time they were “programmed” by a weird alien phenomenon lol
true
They might look like kids, but are they? I think they are still gonna be incredibly vulnerable from attacks from a higher dimension.
"David has been of Tikitok too much"

I like the way this guy describes scenes with his own ideas
2:30 I know it's a joke, but I checked anyway. The Social Security Average Annual Wage index was $4000 in 1960 and $5900 in 1969. In 1969, 20% of all families had a total family income that was below $3000.
2:05 and 2:45 could have sworn there were more than 10 women in that town.
I know, just looking a the ones on ground. Yet only 10 kids born...picky aliens.
Well, It’s based on a book, even though they did a lame movie out of it, and yeah there were more than ten pregnant women..

The ending words that Mystery Recapped said was wonderful and brought tears to my eyes. ; "Jill is hopeful that they can start a new life, leaving midwich behind. But they probably can't since they just blew up a bunch of kids."
I love watching these recaps in the morning.
I can't lie... it's a bit of a shame that they ended up being aliens. Of all the supernatural entities, they're just so easy to use when explaining this. Like, they could've been demons and it wouldn't have changed the story whatsoever, but I would have found it WAY more interesting.
Aliens may not exist, demons either. Either way both are stupid, just enjoy a great film, thats not absurd.
It's still would've been just as easy explainable lmao
This is interesting, why would you want them to be fictional beings opposed to a more scientific, plausible story of beings from another place?
@@callummcmac4079 Nigga, aliens are as fictional as demons, the sooner you realize that, the better
@Honeycomb This movie is based on the 1958 book "The Midwich Cuckoos" by British science-fiction writer John Wyndham. The children were the offspring of aliens in the book, so the movie is true to the book in that regard.

Do to multiple brain injuries I have trouble reading, writing, and watching movies. My injuries have disabled me and I am constantly going to doctors and hospitals. I also have to take a crap ton of medicine...(9 years now) I love your summaries. Before I got sick movies were a hobby. Now I can watch movies again. I don't care that they are condensed, you still see enough to be able to talk about the movie.
I am getting a special device that reads texts in real time. I will be able to read again. I type slowly using predictive text and a special keyboard. Between these things and your summaries, I am doing what I absolutely love. Reading, talking and watching movies......Thank you
This movie creeped me the hell out growing up, especially when they kill Kristie Alley’s character.
Flash took "everyone loves me" in another whole level
What about siblings? It said every single woman got pregnant (not every "single" women as we know at least 3 were married) so only 10 women in town. They wanted to separate the 9 from the other kids in school? wouldn't every single one of those schools kids (unless their mother was dead) be a sibling to one of the 9? Was there no sibling empathy when they were still infants?... The original was still scarier...
I believe "single" here is a way of words like in "every single one of them", not meaning that only single women were impregnated
These recaps help me comprehend better than watching the actual entire movie.
I swear to God I loves these movie recap videos so much man
