I love Hound, he along with Sunstreaker and Tracks have been my fave 3 G1 cars since back in the day, still have em and got this version too. Keep em coming.
I'm still sad that they stopped with the G1 reissues years ago. Imagine if they released all the G1 figs with the retro packaging? That would be amazing but it'll probably never happen.
@@GP-tt2teI'd like to see a return of the Human Alliance line starting with 1971 VW beetle Bumblebee(with Charlie Watson figure), Mirage(with human companion figure), convertible Arcee(with human companion figure), and 1977 Chevy Camaro Bumblebee(with Sam Witwicky figure).
Pretty advanced transformation for 1984 (or earlier when he was a Diaclone carbot). Regarding the size, I'm also surprised how small these toys were. Almost a bit larger than legends in some cases. I like all scales for Transformers, but I'm glad that MP caught up with my age and size 😅
My first transformer way back in the day, lost him years ago and never found a replacement even with reissues - but wow I do not remember him being that small. Looks great though, can't wait to find this.
Now the question is, do they reverse engineer the molds for Sunstreaker and the Dinobots so we can have their movie counterparts as well in G1 retro? Will we get Optimus Prime with his trailer in the cartoon deco? I know g1 Megatron is off the table lol
@@zeldahyrule543 not for G1. He had a stubborn gun with a wide barrel unique to him. Prowl, Bluestreak, and Smokescreen all shared a similar rifle style back in the 80's. Might have been the same in the Diaclone releases, too.
Finally hound gets a reissue about time
Never had this one as a kid, and had no idea what I was missing. What a great little figure!
A++ on the Snarl review call-back XD
Just be happy Hound who was in the movie for a second even got a figure
Now that's a Peaugh review! That's the enthusiasm I watch these for you convinced me to buy one
Finally picked this up from Walmart, he didn't come with a hologram of a driver like the cartoon. He can't fight Rumble with those short arms. Ha ha!

I would love a Sunstreaker reissue. He was one of my favorites when I was a kid.
I will never understand why Hasbro doesn't just flood the market with vintage toys?

Yeah, the size surprised me.
Transformers Retro Hound 2023 is a Walmart Exclussive mentioned by Tfwiki.
Impressive little toy.
They should also do sideswipe and bumblebee.

I'm not convinced this is a straight-up redo: for starters, the original toy had die-cast metal parts...
As does this one.
@@peaugh I had no idea, thank you, from the colouring to some mold seams, I assumed it was all plastic.
Very cool re-issue. Just wish he would have his proper hologram gun instead of a copy of Prowl/Silverstreak/Bluestreak's rifle!
Thank you, Peaugh! 🙂
that is his correct gun

No stickers and no vac-metallized parts make it feel so cheap to me.
😊😊😊😊!!
Poor Hound can't point his gun forward.
he never could
