More punch episodes! Covid hurt the group-drink thing. I’m trying to revive it among our family and friends. I feel like punch is a great way to bring people together to share something.

This was lovely. I screwed up a punch a couple christmases back, and have shied away from making them since. This has given me the tools to try and restore my punch-making confidence.
Perfect timing for this one here in Massachusetts, summer just kicking in. Company coming to see our flowers and hummingbirds. Great ideas and inspiration. Wearing a path to our local liquor establishment after this. I definitely won't pass up the opportunity to point out how sweet you two come off. Visible sparks!!😊
I also fell in love with making punch after reading David Wondrich’s book! It’s always a crowd pleaser and there’s lots of room for experimentation so long as you’re starting from a good foundation. I am jealous of your bottle of Arrack - I’ve been keen to try it ever since I read the book, but just haven’t got round to buying one yet… maybe this summer…
This episode reminded me of my mom and her holiday punch. She soaked peach slices in rum overnight. Then added wine & soda. Can’t remember what else she put in, but it was always a hit with friends.
I think filling a balloon with water and freezing it would be a good one as well. Not sure it will freeze completely though. But the round shape should melt even slower I'm guessing!
well, tea .. just go for a nice fruit-"flavored" ceylon. steep time 2 mins at max. or go for white tea, because of the reduced temps and its being probably one of the most fragrant and light, airy taste and flavour :)
