Дело мастера боится!
Thanks for sharing
Great job... the first ikea install video I needed to slow down and not speed up!
You can change the speed.
Go to a video.
Click Settings.
Click Speed.
Select the speed at which you'd like the video to play.
@@FixitAll I did thank you. Normally I watch all on 1.5.. but not yours.
Wow!!
So neatly done!
Thanks for watching!
Best CZcams video ever. So often, I yell, "GET TO THE POINT" and you got it right. Also, looks like the Grimslöv fronts, for which there are no cover panels in off white. So your choice was very useful.
Love,
Andre
andretchaikowskycom Thank you !
I can watch your video clips continuously, thanks!
Sanal Stepkin Thank you.
Nice job.
Thanks!
Amazing. So helpful. Did you get the worktop from Ikea too? I want to have an island but not sure what to do about a wider worktop and the edges of the worktop. Any tips?
Kitchen was done before me. So my work was finished some tricki parts.
I believe they order cauntertop from IKEA.
What size screws did you use? My cover panels didn't come with screws.
I am not looking on the size screws.
You should check thiknes of the panel and cabinet side.
Decorative panel + cabinet side = ?
And minus 1/8" from both thiknes.
So, if the decorative panel 5/8" + 3/4" cabinet side = 1-3/8"
1-3/8" - 1/8" = 1-1/4" screws.
Hi again! You added gorilla glue at 0:40. Is this necessary? Doesn't this make it a mess if you were to change panels in the future (big if, I know!). But still, is it necessary? Thank you.
Hi. Glue here not required in case you're planning to replace the panel. It will stay on 4 screws just fine.
How do you mount it to the floor so it does not move ? Compear to a concreat, wood, laminat floor ?
You can see a wood block under cabinet from right and left. It was glued to the floor and cabinet.
What type of saw blade do you use that it doesn't tear or chip the melamine?
DIABLO
7-1/4 in. x 60-Tooth Fine Finish Circular Saw Blade

Why did you "bridge" out the back for the panel? Was it to use the finished side (factory width) of the side panel? So you wouldn't trim the width of the side panel?? Nice job!
All this design is customer idea. So i tried to use what they brought from IKEA.
hi, was the circular saw aluminum cutting track custom built?
Yes. Here - How to make Aluminum Guide Rail for your Circular Saw czcams.com/video/PYRAjKxbSS8/video.html

What did you use to fix the big panel on the back and also could you adhere it right on the cabinet without building the frame? Thanks!
Fridge side panel. I think you can glue it without nails.
@@FixitAll It was for the peninsula ... similar to your island
To assemble cabinets of an island there is an item ikea offers to connect the cabinet together and install the back panel on.
Looks like IKEA doesn't have this size back panel.
@@FixitAll not the back panel itself, that need to be cut to size, but to fix the cabinet together and then fix the panel to the cabinets.
This is wonderfully helpful. I am in the process of building a very similar Ikea island counter. I am a little lost though with one bit. I have the same setup of drawers, however the top drawer face is about 1/2" too high to fit under the counter top. The lower and middle drawer are at their lowest possible configurations. If there is nothing else I can do with the drawers I suppose I will have mount 1x3s on the underside of the counter top to give me the extra bit of clearance I need.
Confusde and frustrated.
Edit. at 1:08 you're drawer face bottoms appear to be flushed to the under side of the bottom panel? Mine align to the top side of the bottom panel. This would be just enough of a height error to throw the rest off. But then the next drawer up aligns perfectly to the bottom drawer, the top drawer is short on clearance to the counter top. 😵
Yes the bottom drawer face flash to bottom under cabinet. This is a factory preset, you can't change it because it sit on a side sliders.
@@FixitAll And mine some how aligns to the top face of the bottom panel... WTF.
Adam I think you may have put the screws in the wrong holes when you attached the bottom fittings which connect the drawer fronts to the drawers. Top and bottom drawers require different fitting points and the drawer fronts will be off vertically if you screw through the wrong holes.
How would you fit a end panel next to a washing machine?
venus hope Same process like I done with island side panels.
Thank you for your prompt reply I`m still struggling with what I would attach the panel to as machine is 6ins from wall at the end of kitchen I thought of cutting it neat and wedging it under worktop but when machine spins I think it would move
YOU DONT HAVE TO GLUE a side panel
