Hey Jamie!!! This is awesome. I watch all of your tutorials. I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on this Zordon effect for fusion. Thanks, keep up the great work👍 czcams.com/video/-Je9Tw5FvG8/video.html
Great explanation of using the Camera Tracker. One thing I would note is that since these are nodes, you can very simply route a plane to separate transform nodes to have duplicates. And you can take the output of a stack of mask/polygon nodes and route it to a separate node that inverts the resulting alpha, so you can get an inverted cutout for another layer. That way, if you need to update the polygon, you can do so and both the normal and inverted updates automagically. Using tricks like those, you can get much much less complicated looking node trees and you set yourself up for much simpler finetuning process down the pipeline.
I don't know what I just watched but it look awesome and the final result was mind blowing, could never do this myself but it was great to see how it was done. Thanks for a great video
Hey Jamie, thank you very much for sharing this. All the 3D Tools in Fusion are some kind of mysterious for me... now, I've got a good easy tutorial as a starting point.
OoH! that create such a surreal effect, this will come in handy. Great tutorial, now my brain is gonna work overtime ha ha ha.. Keep up the awesomeness.

Look at getting a second hand Z620 or Z640, I personally use a Z620 that I got for 400 and came with a Quadro P4000 and 64Gb RAM, I upgraded the RAID to a NVMe PCIe card and it crunches through Da Vinci pretty well when I'm editing 4K footage. All told it cost me around 600 wtih all the upgrades. The Z640 would be a better buy as it has support for native NVMe boot, whereas the 620 needs a NVMe that has the boot bios. I also managed to pick up a Zbook 17 for cheap as well for field editing. Ever since AMD's Threadripper came out second hand Intel based workstations have plummeted in value compared to a few years ago.
dude I freaking love your content. I always repeat the tutorials after you :D I learnt a lot about Davinci Resolve from you! Thanks for the videos man !!!!!
When people make tutorials, i understand that some creators copy/paste from somewhere else which means they themselves dont even know what they are teaching to a professional extent but still for that dont make the video. Lots of people from different expertise levels come to tutorials either to dead ass learn from scratch or a quick refresher. Absolutely nothing really explained in depth or as to why its needed so that when it comes to future individual projects we already have a foundation to tackle our projects without having to rewatch this video. CZcamsrs really have to learn wth a “tutorial” is
That’s not that at all. If I went into detail about every single click and tool I use, my videos would be hours long. And people don’t want to go step for step for an hour. Now if you ever have any questions regarding a tool or a feature, you can always refer to the very in-depth manual black magic provides for you and learn about it yourself, like I have.
That video rocked! It was a bit fast part way through but I can slow it down or replay it 👍 special effects and 3D rocks!! Nice work dude Edit: We need full version studio for this?
@@ClubBrick if the camera doesn't move you wont have the effect of moving through space.. but you could use the free versions 2D trackers for cool stuff. baby steps. learn node based compositing in fusion first and go easy. its a bit of a learning curve, especially if coming from layered approach like AE

I know this is an older video but tought I would ccomment. For creating the seprate layers of the image, I preffer doing that in a raster editor like Affinity Photo or Photoshop and export as PNG with Alpha to avoid un-necessary masking. Also it allows me to fill in the back parts of an image for paralaxing. I really wish Affinity Photo would add the new AI Generative fill that Adobe added to photoshop recently for solid inpainting. Now I have to export out to Stable Difussion instead. :/
