As for your comment about getting dressed when leaving the house, you are so right! I am so bad at this since covid. I've gotten in the habit of throwing on anything because I'm only going out for "a minute" or "real quick". I've got to do better. Thanks for the reminder to pull it together. As for the make up, I guess I need more than one blending ball.
I just turned 30 and this is basically how I do my makeup. I keep it very simple and minimal. And I always get compliments and some even assume I get it done by a MUA. My secrets - hydrated base, complexion products that match my skin to the T, lightly filled brows, set don’t bake, blush that gives a light pinched effect, half feline eyeliner, half lashes, bronzer for a sunkissed look, setting spray, and a nude lip 😊
I just turned 42, three months ago and I'm feeling great. I have a thing working for me that I've always had, which is my baby face that doesn't seem to age or at least is slow in aging. The picture I have in my profile is me when I just turned 40 (wearing the red wig for fun) and I'm only 2 years older now. I love so much watching people's reaction when they thought I was in my late 20s early 30s and I release the 42 from my lips and they are all "Seriously... I don't believe you." It's a fun game I play. Even more fun when I go out to dinner and order a drink and I have to show my ID and the waiter/bartender does a double take. I'm living for my early 40s and I'm working my wardrobe to fit a more sophisticated style that is modest but leaves a bit of peek-a-boo in flattering areas. I love open back clothing or off the shoulder tops thankfully I've gotten back into sewing and have been making my own style which I've learned I love 40s and 50s style dress with a little bit of modern accessorizing. Love you much aunty Fumi you are an inspiration and I'm no longer worried about aging. I in fact am cruising to my level 50 in comfortable style.

Hi Fumi, we are loving you queen! I need you to do an exclusive tutorial, up real close and personal, on how to put lashes on. Sis, with ya fingers, now you are a pro! I am getting better, at 58 approaching 59 in December. Thx for all you do for us...
Lipstick and lashes. Never leave your home without them. Fumi makes applying lashes look easy. It takes practice. Firstly, don’t buy those lashes that make you look like Bambi. Buy demi wispies. My skin color is paper bag brown. Brown lashes look best. Go to Amazon to buy them because many beauty supply shops carry only black. You might need to snip a few hairs from the lash ends because your eyelid is not as wide as the lash band. There are two categories of lash adhesives. Glue and magnetic. If using glue, you need only the tiniest amount. Put a single dot on a clean surface. Take a tooth pick dabbed in the glue and make a thin line onto the lash band. Trick one. Put tiny dots of glue near your lash line on your eyelid. Wait 20 seconds for the glue to become tacky. Do not go too close to the inner corner of your eye. If you do, you’ll have trouble when you blink. If your lids are wrinkly gently stretch until they are smooth then apply the lash. The corners are very tricky so you must practice. I was determined to learn how to apply lashes myself because going to the salon can cost $15-25 and they never have brown. Do not get individual lashes. They will feel like caterpillars are sleeping on your eyelids. If you have a steady hand and can neatly draw a thin line of eyeliner, you’ll like the magnetic lashes. There are tiny magnets on the lash band that stick to the special magnetic eyeliner included with the lashes. A single pair with liner are about $15 but you can use the lashes over and over if you store them in the case they came in, not on your nightstand.

When I get my eyebrows threaded I always give very clear instructions on what I want and don't want as I can't take it for granted that they get it right; 1. Follow the shape of my natural brow, 2. I don't want the length shortened, 3. do not try to make my brows symmetrical and, for added measure 4. Follow my natural brow shape.
