The general message I'm getting from this comment section is that a lot of women want men to protect them from the consequences of their own choices and that guys that do this would be passed over as relationship candidates. The later isn't really an issue because I assume that most people watching over female friends are simply being good friends. As for the former, it's hard to respect someone that won't take responsibility for their own well being.
I personally don't find the idea of passing out and being at the mercy of a bunch of drunken assholes very appealing and I'm a guy, so remember, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

In a society that treats most men with complete and utter contempt, why do we spend so much time telling men that they should treat women with respect?. i actually heard a story of a taxi driver who's customer was so drunk that she couldn't tell him to come home so he got a hotel for her and looked over her to make sure she was safe. when she woke up she assumed he did something to her and got her arrested.(i should probbably add there were no signs or evidence of hi doing anything t her body) so new idea instead of guys should help drunk women recover and look after them how about we leave them there to suffer in their drunken idiocy ^^
KINGD353 Well to be fair most people that wake up in a hotel room with a stranger watching them would be scared shitless. If a girl can't tell you where her house is because she's too drunk you take her to the hospital. She may not need treatment but they can help her sober up faster and she can wait there until she can remember where she lives. That taxi driver was either an idiot or did do something too her.
Besides if someone is passed out or extremely drunk and has still been drinking in the past hour then it's disgusting to leave them as the alcohol would still continue being absorbed into their body. Leaving someone that passes out alone can kill them. You get them medical help like a decent human being

KINGD353 I didn't state anywhere that he should've been punished for doing nothing or that he was 'evil' but yes he is stupid for taking someone that clearly needs professional medical help if she's so drunk she can't remember where she lives and paying for a hotel room for her to sleep in an entire night. Especially when he was probably supposed to still be working. He was stupid for doing that, and if he truly didn't do anything then its horrible that he got jail time but her reaction was normal and expected.

If you get incredibly drunk in public, to the point your motor skills(walking, speaking, rational thinking) are impaired, then you are at the mercy of the public. Whether the public(whoever is near you) decides to help you, ignore you or take advantage of you, is up to them. The fact that the person decided to do the right thing when he could've done one of the other 2, and you fault him for that, says more about you than him. She decided to get drunk and she put the responsibility on those around her to make sure she was safe and that she made it home. She was stupid to get drunk in a public place without a designated driver or a friend to take care of her if she forgot where she lived.
