It's so sad to hear Marko left the band.... he is an exceptional musician.

FLOOR IS A FULL PACK. I'm 29 yo and I've been a fan for the last 15 years and that's it, doesn't matter which era... I'm a NW fan until I DIE.
I met Floor at a gig when she was touring with ReVamp, and said "I didn't know you could growl", and she shrugged and said "neither did I". lol. Top class singer and musician, as well as a wonderfully nice person.
I hope she does growling never again. Her voice deserves better.
@@ArsRegnandi Well I hope for more songs with growl from Nightwish on next album (tbh it is not growl but fry scream/false cord scream) because it shows how amazing singer she is. This type of vocals are really really hard to do properly

Between her imposing physical stage presence and her vocals, I think we can agree: Floor is the Supreme Goddess of Metal.

I freaked out the first time I saw this live, because it confirmed to me that Floor does the growls, which is absolutely amazing. She has the best voice ever.
+Darth Yoda Well to be fair, she did growls in her old band so assuming they wrote a song for that style of vocals I don't see why she couldn't do them. Ya know?

Empu never gets the credit he deserves. His playing is always clean and just what the song needs. He is not a show off. Pure amazing musician.

She's a vocal treasure, isn't she. Even though I knew she could growl from performances such as this but also from her ReVamp etc days, it still took me a live show to realise that the growling in Tribal is her! And of course I lost my shit when she did it live here in Athens a few months ago.
Floor is the best decision they've made in years.

After signing Anette Olson I was sure this band would go down. A huge mistake. Signing Floor Jansen was an ultimate redemption. Tuomas accommodated his song writing with Floor´s potential and the combination made one of the greatest bands ever.

"Emppu's guitar is locked into D standard tuning (what 99% of their set list is played in with D, G, C, F, A, D), a whole step down from E standard (which is what Stargazers is played in with E, A, D, G, B, E). Tuning a whole step up and back down on a guitar like his requires screw drivers and is very time consuming. It is NOT PRACTICAL to tune up to E standard, nor carry around a whole other guitar for ONE SONG."

That was a powerful performance from Nightwish (and Floor). My all time favorite band since 2001 (they Wishmaster album was my first "meeting" with Nightwish).
Floor rules the full stage with full of energy, with dancing moves, small theatrical gestures and communication with the audience. This woman is a pure magic and gift for humanity. And that singing and voice. Just wow. Powerful and beautiful performance. I'm truly amazed every single time.
Floor have a beautiful heart and soul! I love this woman. Her voice, performance, femininity, presence, style... all of them!
I really hope Floor will singing for so many years for us (and Nightwish too). Floor deserve every support, love, appreciation and respect!
I hope one day I meet with her and we can talk a little bit (and thank her for everything includes the After Forever/ReVamp era).

Nightwish has been helping me going through my chronic illness and all phisical and emotional pain I'm trying to cope with. Thank you, Tuomas, for being such a genius, creating such masterpieces! I absolutely love this song. I listen to a lot of metal. And I can guarantee this is by far one of my favorite songs ever. I can’t get enough of night wish and Floor. Her vocal range is simply amazing. I just wish they would do more songs like this. I wasn’t a fan of Annette or Tarja. Only because I don’t really get into the opera with metal genre. That doesn’t mean I don’t listen to it on occasion or have a closed mind. It’s just not my favorite thing to listen to. Floor and the band is simply stunning and can’t wait to see them live.

Great song, reminded me of Dark Chest Of Wonders. I loved Floor since After Forever and Ayreon like 15 years ago. It's weird that a lot of people knew her in Nightwish but I'm glad she has way more fans now and gets the recognition she deserves. Nightwish is kicking some serious ass these days, they're better than ever!!!

Thomas is very talented. The lyrics are amazing because of him. That is one of the reasons Nightwish is my favourite band.
I also must say that the band is one of the best bands out there. There's a amazing vocalist, Floor. She can do almost anything in vocals. Thomas is again amazing at lyrics. He is also really good at the piano and synthesizer. Troy can play multiple instruments. Marko is very good at vocals and bass. He can sing and play the bass at the same time as well. Emmpu is a amazing guatar player. He could be funny at times.
Jukka and Kai are amazing drummer's. The music is fantastic.

Not a weak spot. An overlooked change for the good was replacing Sami with Marco. A second voice that can bounce off the likes of tarja, annette and now floor expands the nightwish horizon considerably.
What an awesome band. The wife and I have vip tickets to see them in Tucson, AZ on 3/13/16.......... Cannot wait to see them!
It is funny because I was reading fan responses to the album Endless Forms early on and the one consistent complaint was that the songs did not take advantage of Floor's vocals. Watching this video you have to laugh at that complaint. I think fans "expected" with Floor's classical training that the band would go back to vocals more in line with their albums with Tarja. However, these fans failed to realize the band has been moving away from performing songs just in that one style for several albums now. With on onslaught of bands adopting Nightwish's original vocal style, they had to move on and evolve. When, in the history of Nightwish, have they EVER had a singer who in one song can sing straight ahead rock style, growls and classical? The answer is NEVER, that is, until now. This song is taking advantage of Floor's full range across all of the styles, as does the album in whole.

Totally agree, you understand what Floor and 2017 NW are all about. Tuomas is not a fool and he knows that the full-operatic symphonic metal style he made fashionable is actually outdated, and something that has been done too much already, with all bands sounding the same now. Something that was cool 15 years ago but not today. So how does he solve that? He keeps the essential elements, but introduces a different vocal style and musical elements that make NW stand out from every other similar bad out there. I actually respect Tarja a lot, but it was Floor who made me a true fan. Neither me nor many people out there are fans of excessively operatic vocals. They get boring and the songs feel too "cramped" after a while.
Onslaught of bands adopting nightwish original vocal style???????? You guys been smoking them funny cigarettes again haven't you? If anything new nightwish sound more like other metal bands. The only thing that set them apart now is having a transgender singer.

It is deliberately referenced. He's right; very similar, though not exactly the same riff. Toumas has done this a few times in subtle ways.
Many great bands do this. It's homage to their history to reference a bit of an older song.
my main complaint with EFMB. Many ideas were just recycled and reused.

Floor is 6' plus. Emppu is 5'3". Their individual talents make both tall on stage.
That really raspy voice during the chorus is one of the best new elements and I hope to see more of that in the next album
