They are technically still around, just not under the name “The Afterimage” anymore. Their other bands are “Brand of Sacrifice” (Anime/Manga Berserk inspired band) and “Earthshatter” (Nu-Metal type band with the same catchy chorus’ as The Afterimage). All members of the The Afterimage are in those bands. If you want a band similar to them, then I recommend “Lucrecia”, has similar riffs and catchy chorus’, but they have 2 lead vocalists, a girl (Screams really well and sings the clean parts) and a guy (does really good lows and highs screams). @@JayFFAFAlesanaES Escape From Echo Base is one of my favorite bands as well. Two If by Sea, The Valley, and Galleries are my top 3 songs off their album. It’s a shame we probably aren’t getting more of them, but most of their band members formed another band called “Higherlows”. It definitely scratches that itch that EFEB left me.

@@XxTW0F4C3DxX I will check into Higherlows! I thought Lucrecia was very good btw, the guitars aren't quite as technical but I think most of the songs are very good anyway. The chorus melodies in Sleeping Slaves actually reminded me of another band that is very similar The Parallel. Check their song Wanderlust if you haven't heard it, it was very reminiscent of The Afterimage as well but they have also broken up recently.
