honestly i'm don't usually get so mad when the people in interviews aren't veeeeery informed about the group, but this is honestly really bad; they talk about kpop like it's just a phase and like it's not thaaat popular and how the tickets are expensive but western artists concert tickets are the same price. and i feel like they didn't take tae's best picture like he looks amazing all the time but it was in 2014 his face changed quite a lot and went from cute and adorable to incredibly handsome (and still cute and adorable) and aaah idk this whole video is kind of annoying uff

It's not a trend, it's not new, it's Korean pop music. It wasn't invented yesterday. More like how Korean pop music started to be from the 1990s onwards.
Wow, that guy in the black needs to learn a thing or two about culture outside of his own. See the world a little. Maybe he might understanding something or two about what people find beautiful outside of his own norm. And the lady saying Tae being feminine in features? Well, I guess that's understandable because she's viewing it from her own personal norm of what she finds "masculine". Which are wider jaw, facial hair, protrusive brow ridge etc. Asian men in general have softer features and it's not a norm to have facial hair, nor do they grow facial hair as much as compared to caucasian men.
But anyway, Tae Hyung is a beautiful man.
LMAO I feel like they're being salty becuz the actor from their country got the title before Taehyung, and now Taehyung got it. They were not happy about this 😂
And they should use pictures of Taehyung wearing coloured contact lenses, or at least pictures from 2017 😂

난 한국 사람이고 남자로서 BTS에 대해서 그렇게 관심을 가지고 있지는 않다.
그럼에도 전세계 어느 국가를 막론하고 기본적인 자질이 없는 사람들이 방송을 진행하는 일이 자주 있다는 것이고
사람을 함부로 평가하거나 깍아내리는 일이 늘상 있다는 것이다.
잘 살게 되면서 근사한 척하지만 전세계를 돌아다니며 인종차별을 일삼고 다른 인종을 동물 다루듯이 거느리고 다녔던
유럽인들의 근본이 아직도 있는 것인지.

아 아닙니다, 네덜란드언어에 k랑 g랑 발음이 확연히 다릅니다. Gaypop 이라고 한건 완전 의도적인거에요.

Dit is pure onwetendheid en niet opzettelijk afkraken van BTS of Taehyung. Een paar weken geleden ontdekte ik BTS door hun nummer Dynamite. Ik had al wel eens van ze gehoord maar wist niet wie ze waren en wat ze deden. Toen ik de videoclip van Dynamite voor het eerst zag dacht ik “Oh, een K-Pop band. Niet mijn ding”. Maar op de een of andere manier werd er een zaadje in mijn brein geplant dat ervoor zorgde dat ik nieuwsgierig werd en meer van deze boyband wilde zien en horen. Laten we eerlijk zijn, hun uiterlijk is niet bepaald iets wat we gewend zijn in Nederland, Europa of gewoon de hele Westerse wereld. Sowieso is het algemeen bekend dat Westerse mensen vinden dat Aziaten allemaal op elkaar lijken. Toegegeven, ook ik zag op het eerste gezicht geen verschil tussen de 7 leden van BTS. Dit komt gewoon omdat we wereldvreemd zijn en niet dagelijks verschillende mensen van Aziatische afkomst zien. Ook BTS’ stijl is heel erg anders dan we hier gewend zijn. Ik ken geen Nederlandse mannen die zich zo kleden, hun haar in gekke kleuren verven en opvallende sieraden dragen, tenzij ze homoseksueel zijn. Dat is gewoon wat ik zie om mij heen en zo ben ik opgegroeid. De stijl van BTS is in vergelijking met hoe Westerse mannen zich kleden behoorlijk vrouwelijk. Dus ook ik moest even wennen maar na meer videoclips en live optredens te hebben bekeken op CZcams zag en hoorde ik hoe getalenteerd BTS is en begreep ik waarom ze zo’n gigantische fanbase hebben. Inmiddels ben ik besmet met het BTS virus en waardeer ik hun muziek enorm. Hun choreo’s zijn niet van deze wereld. Doordat ik me heb verdiept in de leden, kan ik ze nu prima uit elkaar halen en zie ik overduidelijk de verschillen. Deze presentatoren krijgen wellicht een paar uur voor het programma dit topic toegeschoven en hebben vast een tijdslimiet waardoor ze zich niet voldoende kunnen inlezen over wie Kim Taehyung is en hoe je dat uitspreekt of over wie BTS zijn, etc. Het komt ignorant and uneducated over maar we kunnen moeilijk verwachten van alle presentatoren dat ze net zoveel weten over BTS als hun fans dat doen. Ik wist tot een paar weken geleden ook niks over BTS en had geen positieve mening over K-Pop. Omdat ik niets wist. Ik heb nu zoveel informatie verwerkt dat ik het begrijp. Maar ik begrijp ook waarom BTS, helaas zelfs 2 jaar later nog, niet begrepen wordt. Het is té anders. Mensen zijn het niet gewend. Ze weten niet waar ze naar kijken. Ze kunnen zich niet meteen vergelijken met de leden omdat hun uiterlijk zo dusdanig anders is dan dat wat ze alledaags zien. Daarnaast zingt BTS ook nog in een taal die ze waarschijnlijk nog nooit gehoord hebben en dus niet verstaan. En we kunnen het ze niet kwalijk nemen dat ze zo denken. Ik was precies hetzelfde. Hopelijk komt er ooit een dag waarop K-Pop net zo wordt begrepen en gewaardeerd in de Westerse wereld als Westerse muziek.
(En naast dat Taehyung’s naam niet goed wordt uitgesproken en er een flauwe gay grap gemaakt wordt door Wietze, zijn Kim en Maik helemaal niet negatief over K-Pop. Ze sluiten zelfs af met “houd dit in de gaten want het is razend populair”)

Lmao, I love how, on top of the poor research and misinformation, they’re using outdated pictures and an introduction that seems to antagonize Tae for Michiel Huisman’s fans...
They have a responsibility to provide the correct, updated information, and of course it’s impossible to completely eliminate bias, but they could have tried to be more subtle…
I mean, who calls it “gay pop?” I can understand if people decide to say he looks more effeminate or androgynous-because he’s beautiful and handsome and everything in between and there’s nothing wrong with being pretty-but I don’t quite approve of automatically associating that with a stereotype in a mocking way, especially on television to such a large audience that they surely hold some influence over. There’s nothing wrong with being part of the LGBT community, but the dude on the left seemed to comment about that in a not so flattering way, which pisses me off more than them associating kpop with gay.
I’m also astounded that they think Tae could win Most Handsome Face just because of South Korea… was it the same for their actor, a win based on solely the Netherlands? Cuz it looks like they don’t understand how TC Candler works exactly; even if all of South Korea were to vote for him, that doesn’t guarantee anything. Moreover, they used pics from 2014 when TC Candler had 2017 photos right in their voting posts and results video…
It’s not hard to get the right information, but it sure seems like they didn’t try. I feel bad for the general public who aren’t getting to know Tae fully beyond just what these people say. I hope Dutch ARMYs don’t look at this as a shameful stain. It’s not your fault or anything you need to apologize for. We know that you don’t like it either and won’t just automatically associate you with this. We love you!!!

Using such a random, old photo is literally just trying to do someone dirty. Why did this broadcast choose the most random old photo of Taehyung from when he was like 17 to be in the background the whole time than any recent photo -- maybe like the one from the TC Calendar or anything else recent? This show is a joke -- the program apparently has no researchers.
