I was watching this and my 2 year old son was playing nearby. He looked over and saw the Christmas tree, presents, and Santa. He said "ho ho ho!" and climbed into my lap and watched with me. He got so excited to see your daughters excitement. This was great! Thank you for sharing. I look forward to these types of moments when he is a little older.

Tyler...I just want to say that it warms my heart that you are continuing what your dad did with you and that you are doing it for your daughter. I believe that later on down the road that she'll reflect back on these videos and cherish the memories of her father just as you had with yours.

It warms my heart to see a kid open gifts on Christmas. I have a two daughters and one of the is 1 years old and the other turned 5 last year; 5 days before Christmas and I really enjoyed seeing them opening gifts and the excitement off their faces. It really is something very special.

Your daughter’s happiness brings back memories of Christmas Past for me. Both my own, and watching my nephew go through his own video game journey from ages 6-13. Throughout those years, he needed me to help him get past certain levels, by age 13, he didn’t need my help anymore and bypassed me in skill pretty easily. Her Christmas Eve and Christmas Days remind me so much of those days.
Thanks for sharing this with us, you have a great family, especially your little girl who was so appreciative of those gifts, including video games she’ll play with her Dad.

That was great. It was really cool you got Balan for Hallie. I've always loved Nights as well. I also always really loved Christmas Nights and my favorite game of all time is Klanoa: Door to Phantomile. MY parents never really understood gaming like your Dad but they knew how much I loved games and still got me all the ones I wanted growing up. You were so blessed to have a father who truely GOT it, and to be able to share that love with each other. That echo you put on the sound byte of your Dad really got me man. I didnt even know him and I miss him. Thank you for sharing such a special excert of you life in this video, not to mention the countless others from your childhood that you've shared. The fact that not only did your Dad get you all those amazing games including imports over the years but also that he took the time to capture it all on video is just astounding to me. He was so far ahead of his time. Watching your childhood videos unlocks memories and feelings deep in my brain that I otherwise would never be able to experience again. Back in a time that I miss and long for and constantly try to recreate nowadays without prevail. It's a feeling that I chase but cant ever seem to catch anymore. It's lost to time back in the 80s and 90s. Your Dad didn't just capture your childhood memeories. He preserved what is to me, and I'm sure a lot of your other viewers, a very sacred piece of history thay we cant ever get back to, and I'm extremely thankful to both him and also to you for your willingness to share it. It's almost like he's still giving you gifts in these videos all these years later that you can now use to help build this amazingly successful channel. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Tell your parents there house looks the way I imagine Christmas every year. I appreciate the work even if it's just in short clips, but I never decorate to that degree, even though I would love to. Somebody's gotta do it. Also tell your mom she's lookin good, and not just for her age. I'm glad she's still around. And damn street fighter 6, I've only played the demo, but I plan on getting it soon

My son is on his second Lil Gamer game boy lol. He literally played with the first one so much it just fell apart. He hasnt put the new one down since he got it. I love how it plays music nearly identical to the classics!

Me and my dad have been game collecting together for the past 12 years and it doesnt look like we’ll ever stop. I’m now 21 and my dad is 60. Recently, my dad got diagnosed with prostate cancer in early April of last year and he recently just went through his first major operation, making it hard for him to move around anymore. I’m hoping in praying by the next couple of months we’ll be cancer free. All I wanted to say is that you for being a great father, and I can’t wait to do the same one day. Happy holidays!

I grew up as a Jehovah's Witness and didn't get to celebrate Christmas while growing up. But now that I am an adult and have a family of my own, it is such a beautiful feeling and time to enjoy Christmas with my very own little family. My little boy is 5 years old and I got him a Switch for his birthday last year. But this Christmas that just passed.. I spoiled him with Switch games. Seeing his face glow up with such a huge smile while he opened every aingle one just makes up for those missed times when I was young. You're videos Tyler are a huge inspiration. Thank you so much! Haha I love that your daughter is hyped for Balan Wonderworld. I'm 27 and i feel like most people that play games can agree that when we were kids we were able to appreciate bad and good games. For me it was Star Wars Obi-Wan on the original Xbox!

My parents, now that I'm in my late 30's get me kitchen stuff (because I do enjoy cooking) or they get me some stuff for the house more than like I was kid/teen, video games. Oh and I got an Air Fryer, $50 dollar steam gift card, and an escape room board game, a new Chinese butcher knife, and a Chinese food recipe book. Not super exciting but great gifts that will all be used. Air fryer was an early xmas present, suprisingly the frozen big pretzel's are way better in an air fryer than the oven. 🙂
With my Christmas money I bought a PS2 and some games to revisit, Atari 50 for the Switch, and some Steam games while the sale was going.
