@2:45 nooo... Is been proven by a woman in Australia not to be true. Shen found the region in a valley in Asia on the border of Russia where they, the ancestors remain. The Appaloosa crossed from Asia when there was still land to cross, before the historic 'flood' I presume. The original breed has specific characteristics including a particular gait... I certainly am no expert in any sense of the word, but her testimony makes sense. The modern ones have been crossbred too often and are quite different than the original..
