Nubanu might be similar to Hurrem but she also had a lot of differences from her.
1. Nurbanu was way more resilient and diplomatic than Hurrem. When she came in the palace she did not acted like a psycho and vulgar woman. She did not seek unnecessary revenge. Nurbanu did not accept her faith, but she was resilient and made her way to the top.
2. Nurbanu didn't try to make everyone in the royal family her enemies. I found it ridiculous when fans are saying that Hurrem tried to have the sympathy of the royal family. While it is completely false. Hurrem started the whole fight with Ibrahim for no real reason. She started to have, in fact she did have the support of the royal family. But her insatiable desire of revenge and her lack of conscience and consideration cost her all her enemies.
3. It is true that Nurbanu humiliated her friend but Hurrem's actions were way too unscrupulous. Which is not acceptable. Still, for Nurbanu as she did not fully understand their position as being equal the Harem (It was no longer Italy and Nazenin was no longer her mate) she acted like this. Nazenin stole Nurbanu's only jewelry while she knew it was her only hope to be in a better situation. While Gulnihal had no choice but to obey and serve Suleiman. It was two different scenarios.
4. Nurbanu prioritized her son's and 'husband's' Future. Everything she did was for these two. While Hurrem on the hand passed her whole time fighting with others and running after any new concubine of Suleiman. At the slightest inconvenience she was ready to poison herself and always forgot about those children. We witnessed the consequences of her lack of care.
5. It is true Nurbanu was arrogant but she did not unnecessarily tried to make Make enemies at court. While we have Hurrem in everyone's business but hers. She is in everyone's relationship while her own family was already at the verge of destruction.
6. Hurrem didn't have to protect or fight for Suleiman. He was already Sultan and didn't need anyone's assistance besides his Valide, Viziers and pashas. While every senseful person who watched the show will tell you that everyone was competing for Suleiman's grace. (Firuze is something else). She even sent a fake Dervish. She deliberately disrespected the religion she told Suleiman that conquered her heart. While Nurbanu had to openly fight her so Selim and Murad can live.
