  • The inaugural WR 250 R/X Rally was held at Cessnock in May 2017. A great roll out for the first of many rallies for this highly capable bike that makes adventure accessible to so many.

Yamaha should be paying you for this advertising. I have always loved Yamahas by the way. I have had a Yz250f, yfz450, and a grizzly 700. They were all dead reliable and well worth the money

Had a KLR 650 for ten years, sold it and now 1 year on the WR250R. Just as much fun, just as dependable, and fast as I need. At 210 pounds, I and never last and never broke on the trail. As you can see in the video, put on a big tank, some armor and just try to wear it out.

Whilst I like big adventure bikes, particularly the big twins for the Australian Outback, I really have a soft spot for these little bikes that do a great job. However currently there isn't any new bike on the market that makes me want to sell my Rally Raided KTM690 that can do it all.

I had the last year model 2011 wr250x . Dual sport tires as well as supermoto. I modded it out and loved it. I somehow convinced myself I needed to get a more streetable bike. Ive had an fz07 and a ducati scrambler. Nothing has been more fun than my wr250. Im going to trade in for a new wr250r and have the last year model of that! Great video , this captures the passion for sure.

ive just ridden a wr250r and I loved it, ive never had a 250 and thought they would suck, but its actually pretty awesome, BUT I did find the lack of power to get the front up pretty annoying, guess its just a change of riding style but iff it had another few horses it would be so much better...

excellent video, like always. I am currently considering the wr250r or the ktm 690. Type of riding I do is en Baja. I live in San diego and head to Baja a lot. I have a klr 650 but its just to heavy. By now I have researched thoroughly both bikes, I know all the pros and cons of each one. . Had made up my mind for the 690, but after this vid I now consider my self even more confused, There only reason I would like the 690 is for highway use. Care to input any advice? please... thanks and cheers mate. By the way you guys always welcome to baja, would be y pleasure to be your host.

I love the new 450. But, you can't go on a long adventure on a 450 due to its short service intervals and lack of carrying capacity and inability to fit racks capable of taking a heavy load.

New to dirt bikes, just bought a 2008 wr450f. Love the thing. However I believe Yamaha need to develop a wr450r. Same reliability as the 250r just Moore oomph. The 450f is a very capable bike, very reliable, but the service intervals are a very limiting factor.
I'm a larger guy, at 110 kilos, 5'10" (who am I kidding, I'm fat) the 250r just won't cut it power wise. The power of the 450f far exceeds my ability, I just want a bike with a bit more power than the wr250r, but with similar service intervals and reliability.
Honda are moving in the right direction with the 450L, hopefully Yamaha will follow suit.

Clearly you haven't been on this channel before. Look at all the content on this channel before you make such a stupid comment. Oh, and did I get paid by Yamaha to make it? No. Some who am I tricking you bloody wanker. I simply like the bike. It is the most capable little adventure conversion out there. I think it's great. Now go back to your library and read tome more conspiracy books.
