I had very little context for this video, but it was funny to listen to the banter, which was all this video needed to make me follow every play with rapt attention and trepidation. It was easy to forget I had no idea what the cards did with that riveting dialogue. Now I’m going to share this video with my friend who plays Yu-Gi-Oh regularly.
Also, poor list child. :( Is that legal where you guys come from? Blue Eyes White Dragon player, what do you know about raising children? As a businessman, do you really want the liability of raising another person’s child because you were too hasty to get to your next business conference?
Retro pokemon was a lot faster for drawing and searching cards because of the powerful trainer cards, but damage output was low. Nowadays, its the other way around; trainers are slower but the attacks are a lot stronger. And I can't really comment on yugioh formats, I don't know much about them. This was just a joke video.
I just thought of something. You know how you’ve featured most of your Pokémon decks at least once? Maybe you should make a video showing all your Yu-Gi-Oh! decks and film a Yu-Gi-Oh! duel a month. It would get the channel in front of more people and fill the same niche in Yu-Gi-Oh! that this channel fills in Pokémon (Personally I would not be that interested unless the future videos had the same killer commentary, but I’m sure other people, like my friend I mentioned, would be thrilled!). Maybe someone needs to post a link to this video on a big Yu-Gi-Oh! forum or Discord and see how the community reacts.
@@holon_phantom And certainly not battles where the entire deck was scripted along with the dialogue. I'm still impressed by how much effort you put into this video. (I also still wonder if the lost child was a reference to anything, though.)
@Charmaster04 it was a reference to a Simpsons joke featuring cypress hill. I won't spoil it here if you want hear it for yourself, but it's basically the exact same thing haha
@@holon_phantom Well, I have never watched an episode of the Simpsons in my life, and I had to look up what Cypress Hill was, so I'm not worried about spoilers.
I wanted to ask if you'd ever have like retro decks vs modern decks or anything in that manner for Pokemon ik it would be heavily one sided but maybe there could be a handicap for them like les prize cards to collect fot the old deck or something something like that
I really enjoyed this one. It’s been a long while since I’ve seen a good yugioh duel. Keep up the good work 👍

I'm glad you liked it!
Missed opportunity to call yourself the Holon Pharaoh on this one haha.
Great video! Role playing the characters really took it to the next video.
The new logo was still funny, though.
you guys should try speed duels. I think it would fit your type of video style
Q - How does the pace feel compared from retro Poke formats to modern format, and Yugioh?

Nah, this was just a joke video. I have no intention of doing yugioh videos long-term.

I realized I missed a golden opportunity, so I'll take advantage of it now.

@holon_phantom Not sure if anyone ever saw this meme, and I'm not sure how funny it actually is, but I was pretty proud of it at the time.

I've tried it, but it just doesn't work. The power difference is too much for older decks to compete.
