      Is it the developmentally delayed, or Downs Syndrome person's problem they have problems getting dates, or an adult loving type relationship too? These people have problems just the same. (No NOT literally..but they have problems they didn't choose to have). I'm positive they would change it if they could find a way. They're haven't been able to...I doubt they are where they are because they WANT TO BE. Someone who is depressed can suffer for years, do you think THAT is ALSO their fault, because they haven't "fixed" it? Do you really think that is enough?

    • @kateh9508
      @kateh9508 Před 6 měsíci +12

      @ghezizoo as anyone with an upbringing can be violent.
      A lack of empathy is a common misinterpretation from people learning textbook studies or early in a psychology career without much actual experience. The reality is people with autism actually usually feel empathy more intensely once they understand someone's emotions, but will often struggle with misinterpreting others feelings or intentions which can cause it to appear there is lack of empathy where it is actually a difficulty in undstanding social interactions.
      There is a higher percentage of violent NT people than autistic as adults. Though I can understand your confusion if at school you're learning the basics of visible signs in children as violent outbursts will often last past the typical toddler tantrum stage.

    • @Mellowtonin247
      @Mellowtonin247 Před 6 měsíci +3

      @@kateh9508by definition, empathy is “the ability to understand and share the feelings of another.” I would then argue that a misinterpretation of another’s feelings = a lack of understanding & subsequent inability to share said feelings in the given moment. Saying autistic individuals lack empathy doesn’t mean they are incapable of experiencing a particular emotion; it just means they may find it difficult to relate to the emotion in the same moment another person is experiencing it. In addition (and this is just to play devils advocate) , there are more NTs than there are autistic people. So I’d expect a higher number of violence cases from the larger population.

      dont lump all incels into that. not every person who is an incel is a bad person. that is a logical fallacy you should have learnt in high school. its called the slippery slope. its incredibly unfair. also involuntary does not mean that all incels believe they are owed sex. its just a form of being. just think of the pain of some of them, who are just normal every day people, but cant find anyone at all that will fall in love with them. just imagine the pain behind most of their eyes. only a few incels do bad shit. only a few. do not lump every single incel together. i wish we could all find compassion, because a lot of incels are autistic and victims of severe bullying and trauma. and never do anything bad ever. my bestie is an incel, and he is an amazing person. hes also gay. and incredibly progressive, sometimes more than i am. dont judge a group by the few. its so unfair.

      It's sad, because I can see the benefit of people who feel insecure finding a space with other people who feel the same way, so they'd have a safe space where they wouldn't have to worry about being judged and could openly talk about their insecurities to people who understand. But the problem is those people are also very vulnerable and easily manipulated. And there are people who see this as an opportunity to overcompensate, and 'in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king', making this a very hostile environment. And the thing is, people on those forums are extremely judgemental towards each other and aren't even involuntary celibate, because I've seen so many posts where 'incels' get scolded after announcing they finally managed to find a girl who wants to date them. Meanwhile, they are praised for being awful human beings, so the forums are actually doing the complete opposite of what they should be doing. They do not provide comfort and they do not help people to accept or work on their insecurities, nor do they help people to end their so-called 'involuntary' celibacy, they actually promote it. The initial idea is okay, but the execution couldn't have gotten worse than it did.

      Wtf I’m so sorry that happened to you. There are people making decisions about autistic people while knowing nothing about them and not realizing they absolutely know multiple autistic people. They should not be considered violent without a history of violence, just like everyone else. Even some sort of evaluation would be better than a blanket incorrect assumption. I’m sorry the post office responded that way. Are you in the US? I’d love to look into this more especially if it’s happening in my country, as then I may be able to do my part to help stop things like this. I’m bipolar and since losing my wallet a few years back and having to get a new license, the DMV makes me have my doctors fill out paperwork every year because people who are bipolar are deemed as a driving risk- even though I have only been in one relatively minor accident that was my fault, at an intersection infamous for crashes to the point that they had to put up all sorts of signs and lights and are not thinking of putting up a full stoplight, and one other accident that was not my fault but left me with some lasting health issues- neither of which have anything to do with me being bipolar, or show at all that I am a dangerous driver compared to others my age. A friend from high school has caused at least 6 accidents, probably more now, and they don’t have to fill out any paperwork!! Government organizations need to stop making massive assumptions about entire groups of people based on the uneducated stereotype of them people believed in the 90s

There have been numerous cases within the last few years of women being targetted by these types of people, and it is extremely scary for all the women living there. My daughter has autism, global development delay and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, I had to place her in public school for reception and year 1, she wasn't bullied but the school couldn't cope with her but would not help with referring her so I wrote the education health care plans myself. It took some time but now she's in an environment where she is supported, alongside children who also have additional needs and they can all stay there until they are 18. You will always have the option of trying dual placements with a mainstream school at any point to see if they can adjust well. Unfortunately, even without the bullying, schools are so understaffed and overwhelmed with children who have various disabilities, special needs and just basic one to one support. You have to be seriously depraved to intentionally run over a little old lady using a walker. I hope Alek rots in prison for the rest of his life!

      Exactly, it's their personality and often how they treat women like less than and like they're just there as a place to put their semen and not a human being. Most often, in my experience, it's misogynistic attitudes that make me reject men like that. Worst case it's that plus a lack of a job, no sense of responsibility, poor personal hygiene and entitlement to me and my time and body. Gross.

If you put in the work and listen when someone is put off by creepiness or tasteless remarks, instead of rocking themselves and believing it's not their fault. Just because your mama tells you your perfect the way you are, pretty much everyone else will expect certain things from you. It's not only a male issue but people in general. Honestly, some of the best advice for "involuntarily celibate" guys is 1.) Work on your hygiene 2.) Work on your fitness 3.) Have some sort of job 4.) Be decently competant at chores 5.) Practice talking to women with no expectations of dating. They build it up so much in their own heads and their online communities, when its not a big deal. Small changes can make dating way more accessible

    • @samhain4287

The least violent and arrogant of the group would probably have a chance with women they deem “normies” if they tried.

      Same! My eldest is high functioning autistic and he is so loving so funny and its social situations he struggled with. School was hell for him. It really caused more issues. Fortunately after many years of stress and lots of trauma, trying to source help from the correct professionals, councelling, he made huge progress and started modelling! Went back to college, did acting classes! He's a beautiful looking lad. With that came confidence and at 26( 3 years ago) he met his first ever girlfriend, travelled across the world, got married and they are living together very happy 😊 still has struggles but has come so far. Starts a new job next week and is looking forward. He was never dangerous or violent to anyone,only himself.
      I think there will always be issues with anyone who has any kind of additional need or mental health condition when they are not given support, being bullied and ridiculed will only make them more isolated and often angry.
      This does not ever excuse any violence or evil behaviour at all! It just gives us an insight into what might have led them to be so damaged and dangerous. It's very frustrating and so scary that these young guys who claim to be incels believe they are somehow entitled to attention and sexual interaction with girls who really just do not like them and have every right to not be interested! They do not seem to realise its them, their personality, the way they act etc you can not completely change the way you are but I believe there is someone for everyone, no one owes you anything not their time not their body....this is totally insane what people will do for notoriety and to feel they have somehow got revenge on anyone who ever rejected them!
      Those poor victims and their families are all that matter ❤

      Anyone that associates themselves with a group that believes this nonsense is NOT a good person. You can’t identify as part of a group that believes they’re entitled to another human being and be a decent person. That’s just reality. Don’t identify as part of the group if you don’t agree with their belief system. If you call yourself that then you are what the term implies. It’s very simple.

    My coworker and friend’s husband worked right at that intersection and at lunch hour he would cross the street to go to the gym, so when this was breaking news she was freaking out. He missed this horrible crime by minutes, but sadly all those victims were just going about their day and had no idea their lives were about to end. It’s really tragic and to this day I still have moments when I’m walking around Toronto and if I hear tires screeching I get scared. I can’t imagine what the people who were actually there and the families of these victims have to endure as a lasting fear and trauma.

    These forums are radicalising men with extreme social issues. Something needs to be done as forming a pack mentality unchecked is leading to innocent deaths. There needs to be intervention and just like any radicalising organisation, it is dangerous. You can see in the interview that he truly believed in his world view, like the language used about chads and staceys as if anyone outside of that incel world would see that as an issue. Believe me, I agree with you 💯%!! But it has been my observation that if someone is attractive enough, it doesn't matter! I've, personally, seen men behave like that and still get their hands on more bumper than a bodyshop!! And that's because there are plenty of shallow people out there that really do base their opinion solely on how physically attractive they are.

    yikes, my fiancee and i havent had sex in a while because neither of us are feeling well (body pain, sicknesses, mental health problems) and she is the only person i have ever slept with...i cannot even see myself being this way at my saddest and most depressed. i was definitely an incel before her, but jeez. this is just insanity. women dont owe you anything. my life would SUCK if i truly believed the way Elliot and Alec do. its so much energy putting into something beyond your control. dont be a monster! no matter how depressed you are, no matter how lonely you are, and no matter how horny you are; it is your responsibility to handle your own problems, in a way that harms absolutely no one. i think the ARMY was probably the worst move the parents could have made. the bullying can be way worse than high school, and they knew how that went. he was already on a bad path. what the fuck? again, it was his responsibility to handle himself, but he is also autistic. he has to have reasonable acommodations. the ARMY doesnt give any to their autistic troops. my fiancee can confirm, as she is autistic herself.
    he could have made a good life, found a nice girl, and had a nice life. like i do. as an ex-incl myself: he is pathetic. get therapy. dont ignore your mental health if youre an incel. dont. you need therapy.
    especially if youre also autistic please go to therapy and handle your mental health. this is disgusting and monstrous. this cannot be allowed to continue in the incel community, it used to be a community of people sharing pain. it needs to get back to that. pain is valid but violence is never valid.

I wonder if Alek would have been better off if he never joined.

I lived across the street from him a year before and on that night he stabbed his roommate and roommates friend who were playing video games. Isla Vista is a wild place. People in IV either commit to 100% turn up or they're they're for UCSB and are needs and not apart of the scene. Those first two unfortunate victims were the innocent type of IV'er. That's the saddest part. That graduation ceremony was extremely emotional honoring close to 10 victims. A few of which were set to graduate. This is a dangerous community and if you see something say something. For real, this includes shit is only getting worse with Tinder, OF, bumble (the potential for most izsues) etc
