After you've taken in the views on this run a couple times, and you've gotten used to the amount of moguls, it is unbelievable fun to absolutely fly down on a quiet day.

If you don't stop (ie. if you manage to avoid "intermediate" skiers who decide to stop for a selfie mid piste or in a narrow area) it's amazing how short the whole thing becomes. You can do the top (Valluga I) to the bottom in a few minutes no worries.

      Alex Wrigglesworth it was a strange season! My 2nd season, so naturally comparing it to my 1st. Did my 1st one in La Plagne, which I consider home. Never skied in Austria before and the experience in Austria is very different to France. The moguls took me by surprise as Anton is full of them haha - good practise though. Weather was very strange, we had some good snow days but it also rained a lot too, annoyingly right after a good snow day so couldn’t enjoy the fresh pow. Highlight of the season was probably meeting my girlfriend, soppy I know haha. However, I will probably visit again one day but not any time soon! If I do another season again will probs be with misses in either Tignes or Val D’Isere

  • @perro0076
    @perro0076 Před 3 lety

    Agree. Not sure about the best in the world, but certainly the best in Austria. Right up there with the best in the world though. I loooove that you can off-piste right off the lifts. Sooooo many lines you can take. That Moosewirt bar is an experience in its own right!!! Some times they even have cops with speed guns at the bottom to catch people drunk in charge of skis or snowboards as you still have about 500 mts or so (might even be more) to go before getting to the bottom. After drinking half a million beers it can be 50/50 whether you'll get there on a relatively flat piste in one piece!!! It is hard packed solid like concrete so no matter how slow you're going you DON'T want to fall!!! I prefer live music, but the DJ does pretty well to get people rocking. I recommend St Anton for the bucket list, for sure.

    • @Alexskiing
      @Alexskiing  Před 3 lety +1

      Such a difficult one, they are both amazing resorts, it's really difficult to say. If you are going in a young group I would say St Anton but if you are going as a family, then Ischgl

    Hi Alex, nice film as usual! 👌
    I had a plan to go to St.Anton next skiing season but now who knows what situation with coronavirus will be next winter. :(
    As I understand you used two cameras at once (on head and leg) and then combined two records into one video. Interesting approach, looks great.
    👍
    One question: how do you estimate green Atomic X9 comparatively to Rossignol you used earlier?

    • @Alexskiing
      @Alexskiing  Před 4 lety +1

      Hey Happy Skier, thanks!! Fingers crossed ski resorts can open like normal next season. The two cameras - I tried on another video having them in the same screen - with the boot cam bottom left hand corner, but I think this works a little bit better. The Atomics and Rossignols are pretty incomparable. The Rossignols have been great skis but made in 2013 and all-mountain skis, these Atomics are more full on piste carvers. I think there's been quite a bit of advancement in the last 7 years from all brands, so I was due an update! They are a bit work but I've never skied on skis so stable. Thanks so much for your comment, stay safe!

    • @happy_skier
      @happy_skier Před 4 lety

      @@Alexskiing Yea, I like my Atomics as well. Though I have all-mountain Atomic Vantage they are very stable on speed and drive well in the second half of a day.

      @@ontheedge8541 I've been to both, for me St.anton is much better even though I still love Seefeld. ST.Anton is just so much bigger and has a lot of different parts. Seefeld is really good too but a bit to repetetive. In St.Anton you can go somewhere else everyday.

    They look very straight!!

      Hi CAphunter01 AS k-Fed84 mentioned the the GoPro on the chest is good but you have to angle it up or you get to much of the ground.
