The iconic Grande Motte glacier and symbol of the Vanoise park is open for skiing all-year-round and reached by an underground funicular that opens onto a panoramic terrace. A cable-car whisks visitors up to a height of 3,456m, near the summit at an altitude of 3,656m. Enjoy the exceptional view of Bellecôte peak, Tignes resort and lake, and also Mont-Blanc and the Grande Sassière.
The ski resort Tignes Val d'Isère is located in the Tarentaise (France, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Savoie Mont Blanc, Savoie, Albertville). For skiing and snowboarding, there are 300 km of slopes and 20 km of ski routes available. 82 lifts transport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between elevations of 1,550 and 3,456 m.
Tignes and Val d'Isère are connected by lifts and slopes to form one of the largest ski resorts in France. The winter sports resort was previously called Espace Killy. It is located on the upper end of the Isère Valley. The ski resort and its slopes are partially located on glaciers. The Grande Motte Glacier in Tignes also attracts skiers in the summer.
The winter sports resort at the foot of the Pointe du Montet (3,428 m) and the Grande Motte (3,656 m) offers slopes of all difficulty levels for skiing and snowboarding. It is also considered a paradise for freeriding. The men's skiing competition for the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics was held in Val d’Isère. The ski resort also regularly hosts World Cup races.

Just back from Tignes skied Glacier from the top one day and Descente the next thought there was little between them on those 2 days although I was a bit worried at first on Descente as literally everyone got off the car and went straight on to Glacier leaving me as the only one to choose Descente. Only my 2nd time in Tignes /Val D’isere after a gap of 20+ years but possibly my best ever ski trip!

Good quality video footage and a good safe and competent bit of skiing, really brought back memories of what I've been missing for the last 2 years in my favourite resort! However it might be nicer without the music so that we can hear the skies on the snow as it tells me a lot about how it is particularly on that last descent after the right hand bend that takes you down the line of the chair lift. It does look in great condition all the way down although IMHO you are perhaps going down about an hour early regarding optimum sun conditions which is almost exactly 1200. FYI I've skied the area for the last 30 years or so and that descent down the face of the glacier that finishes at the bottom of the Vanoise lift has changed out of all recognition a real reminder of global warming.

Sorry for being critical. As a long time ski pro I am always watching a skiers technique, you could eliminate your upper body rotation and increase ski performance by not reaching from the shoulder to plant your poles but rather just use wrist and forearm action. Hopefully this will help you will create more angulation (at your waist) instead of banking a straight upright body into the turn with a little stronger outside ski. Keep having fun and try to make some railway tracks in the snow.

Why the goddam awful music? Destroys a brilliant video of my favourite run. 🤬

OK, got it, no more music. Check the description, there is a version without music, just pure natural sound of skiing! ... :)

Nice video, but I don’t understand why skiers stop in the middle of the run. Get off to the side of the hill.

Ruined by your crappy music. Be better with original audio then we can listen to our own music in the background and don't have to mute your video.
