Both actually, plus100+ mods ....
Anno 1800 is the King in this genre and so far they aren't complacent and understand competition delivering Top Quality, although a bit annoyingly woke , but that is ok (remember: mods)

An indie AA pirate game I'd wanna play more than an AAAA pirate game 😅
honestly it's a great one - I have my hands on the full game and you can bet it's coming to the channel ;)
First look at anything about this game. You won't be surprised by my argument. I'm trying to keep level headed about the fact this feels like it goes beyond similarities with Anno.
I'd either play Anno 1800 for the city building aspect or Tropico 2 for the pirate aspect.
What makes this game unique against Anno, aside from the word Pirate?
The mechanics have been simplified vs. Anno so for people who always fail at Anno 1800 (e.g. having tons of trade routes etc.) - it's a good one

I still like struggling with the complexity of Anno.
@@addictedfoolgamer1970 totally don't get me wrong I also like the complexity but I also know that so so few Anno 1800 players actually even managed to finish the campaign which you and I consider the tutorial to the real game lol
@@GamerConsultant I think whatever games come out, copies or otherwise, can only encourage others to make similar games that work out for some people.
I’d rather have it exist and inspire than not at all.
And updated Tropico 2: pirates cove would be lovely. But always the danger of falling foul of the nostalgia wagon

Wow, never saw a game live up to its name this much. This is a pirated copy of Anno 1800 with the worst quality.
There is small differences but you can't argue it's not similar for sure lol
