Glad to see you mentioning the free walking tours they are such a good way of finding your way around a new city. Also a random tip from me is if you have a bike lock take it so that when you are asleep on trains you know nobody will take your stuff
Ahhh that’s a great idea!! Never thought or heard of that!
🤣🤣 Isn't that overcautious?
@@tipperary1082 think you have a bigger chance of getting robbed in ameirca tbh..
top tip. Get a 4 day pass and then if you need more, buy a flixbus ticket for the shortest journeys. In many countries, it will cost a lot less than an extra day on the pass.
I actually suggest giving AirB&B a look during interrailing cause its similar in price or cheaper (Sometimes)
Benefits: Kitchen to cook meals, usually cheaper than eating out
Peace of mind and privacy, and if you want to socialise you can still do hostels every other city.
Your videos are bomb man. The amount of insight and detail is on point.
Keep going - good honest vibe!
This was so helpful! Thank you very much!!
Great tips! I went traveling with a Global Pass for 3 months in 2019, and will be back doing it again September 2022
Another tip I would suggest is buy the transit passes that give you days for metro, trams etc
Can’t use cash on trams etc
Also trams are a great way to see a city you cannot get lost, hop on and off. If you take picture of tram number you will be certain to get the same one
Thank you for this clear and helpful video
Great tips mate, thanks a lot
Another great video Bro 📹
Super helpful and well displayed info! Thanks
Aw thank you very much, I’m glad it helped!
Great video!😊
Thanks for tips! Really helpful
Thanks for watching, glad you found it useful 😌
Great video. I’m going round Europe in a few months and you’ve just give me some great tips and advice abouts apps etc. well worth subbing very informative
Loved watching this before I went on my trip! Uploading my interrail vlogs now😍📸🚝
Awesome! How was the trip?
@@Joelfriend Amazing enjoyed every second of it!🙌🏼
Great guide thx so much
Sweet! Cool concept
Thanks a lot buddy! Appreciate it
First Video of yours ..very good content
Thanks!
thanks !!!!!!!
I recommend Budapest, Berlin, Stuttgart (if you’re a car fan), Prague, Vienna, Paris and london
This is all from personal experience from normal travel (e.g. non inter railing)
Hey I’m going interrailing but my group is kindve against going to Vienna, was it really worth going to? How much do you recommend it?
Would you be able to create a video explaining all the equipment you use, which is the best one to recommend, how to use it? x
Yes I will try and release a video explaining about my video and camera equipment
I'm going for 3 months. I really want the flexibility because I don't have an itinerary fully planned out. So 3 months unlimited for me!
thanks for the helpful tip joe. but you happen to look like my good friend cormac power breen from fairview
So in the night train, basically you could catch any train from the 00 of one day to the 23:59 of the same day, correct?
The Thumbnail is a shot out of the Alex, right? Awesome train. Sadly the south route got cancelled
Can you please send the link to see where is currently available
Brilliant video thank you! If I book a train, miss it and rebook, does that count as 2 trips?
If it’s still the same day, it counts as one travel day.
could you do a video about your camera equipment and how you make your travel videos
I have done a video about my camera equipment now find it here czcams.com/video/G_YA9JEVV2U/video.html ✌🏼
when you say £40 a day, is that including accom??
I am interrailing in the UK rn but the QR Code never gets accepted on the scanners on the train station and when they get checked on the train itself. Some staff members know interrail and don't make trouble, but some don't know it and make trouble :/ is that a common thing, that the Codes don't scan in the UK or is something wrong with mine?
Great video mate! Just quick question regarding trains, do you need to book and reserve a space, bc I have seen mixed messages about this, some saying you will get away without having to?
I think on some trains you do and others you don't. High-speed trains and night trains usually require reservations.
Night trains and busy ones like from paris to amsterdam you’re gonna need reservations. Otherwise i would say u dont need it
On the interrail app it says +1 day when I select an overnight train... so has that changed?
Buying an Interrail ticket will hardly ever make sense financially, but you have more flexibility. If you buy single tickets in advance it will always cost less. That is especially true if you travel a lot in Eastern Europe. Even if you buy tickets up front it will usually be cheaper than using an Interrail ticket. If you buy a two month global pass and travel every day, then it will be cheaper, but 60 days of sitting on a train every day is too much, you also want to stay in the same place for a few days.
I'm 29 and going to buy the youth pass, do you know if the train inspector will check my age?
SUbscribed! :) Is Eurostar included? I live in london so if i left early in the morning and made it to Portugal in the same day does that count as one day travelling? Sorry for my newb question!
Yes the Eurostar is included in your pass! And yes that would be just one travel day
You get a discount. Check on seat61 web site for current status. I use flixbus from London as an alternative.
What is the link for tyhe backpack?
Great video! Just so I can get my head round the first tip and which pass to buy... so for example if I am planning on doing 30 days away but only planning on going to 5 cities, would that mean I'd only need a 5 day train pass? Also are many trains direct or are there a lot of transfers? Thanks in advance :)
check how long the trains take, and how many you can squeeze in in a day, resulting in you getting to the cities:) it all depends on what the distances are!
number of days u travelled In total?
Are the hostile prices in the budget per day included?
Yes
I never knew you had a CZcams Channel
Yeahhh! Haha do I know you? 🤔
What about washing your clothes. Do most youth hostels have washing machines?
Back in 1985 21 days on eurail pass think ing of 3 months 33 countries. See many people sleeping on the ground outside stations. Yours Evans w robinson
Sleeping in a bus shelter would be better than an A&O hostel. They are squalid.
Use Hostel World
I have an osprey farpoint 40 L. Do you think it will be enough for a two/three weeks interrail? Should I buy a bigger one?
Most hostels have laundry so it should be fine
Hey! I've got a question, is it important to make reservations for the trains you want to take?
I would make reservations for overnight trains but the other ones I never reserved as we were more spontaneous but if you know which trains your going to take then you could reserve
How much do night train reservations usually cost ?
@@eifso1340 Varies a lot from country to country, and which train you're taking. Some places it's 1-2 euros, some it's 50 (such as the high speed train from Barcelona to Paris).
Can you explain how interrailing works please? Sounds really good but how does it work
Best go to seat61 web site and read up.
It's basically a pass for travelling around europe by train. You pay for the pass so you don't have to buy all the tickets. However, some trains require seat reservations. Those additional costs are not covered by interrail. You have different ticket options to choose from, the most expensive option is a global ticket. This allows you to travel anywhere, whenever you want. You can also go for a cheaper option with limited travel days. So for example you buy a travel ticket for a month, in which you can travel by train for up to 7 days. Hope this helps!🙌
I Need a Corona Travel Guide please
Go in September\August to Europe. There's gonna be a vaccine\test code you can use for all the EU. More places will be open everywhere.
how long are you gonna continue travelling
No real plan yet but for a fair amount of time especially after Covid
wait its not as much as i thought!
where did you got this cool bag?
I got it from Decathlon there’s a link in my packing guide video
Question ! I'm just at the 2nd tip and really surprised to hear "one overnight train cost as 1 travel day and not two"... I have a 2 months Europe pass and I thought I could take as many trains as I want during 60 days. So I'm a bit confused. If someone can enlight me about that :)
With a continuous global pass you can take as many as you want (remember seat reservations for high speed trains), he was talking about the other type of passes which offer (for example) 4 days out of 7 days where you can only use it for taking trains on 4 days out of a continuous 7 day period and can instead choose which days to take trains (so it costs less). So in your case you don’t need to worry about this rule
I don't get it they say you need to make reservations a week before your train but what if you don't know what train it is you'll be getting until the day of or the day before you travel? How are you meant to make a reservation for this as surely then it will be too late?
Also does making a reservation just guarantee you a seat on a train? For example if I didn't make a reservation and no seats were available then I'd still be able to get on the train right? I just wouldn't have a seat and would be stuck on the floor?
Some trains can get very busy, but normally there are still spaces, we ended up sitting in the aisle for a couple journeys as we didn’t book. I recommend booking for overnight trains and even paying the extra to get a bed as the standard seats won’t give you a good night sleep
@@Joelfriend but either way if you don't reserve can you still at least get on the train?
Hi. Is a first class ticket worth the extra money?
If I am honest I don't really know as we didn't stay in first-class however it is definitely worth upgrading to a bed on any sleeper train you get!!
@@Joelfriend thanks, definitely take your advice on the sleepers.
(maybe dumb q) so if i take a train, say 1pm, to my destination, but then decide to leave and then get a night train at 9pm which gets me to my destination at 7am - is this one travel day or two ??
One
Is it important to interrail with a backpack? Is a suitcase suitable too?
No
Hey, just a little question : I didn’t really understood the overnight train rule. Like every time I take an overnight train it counts as a day ? Let’s say I travel for 10 days, with one overnight train per night, and one train per day (I know it’s not really realistic, it’s just for the exemple lol) so it would count as 20 days of travel ?
Hi ! The rule for the night train is that as long as you go in before midnight, it count as the same day. So for example you can do Milano-Florence from 10am to 12am and then Florence-Roma from 11pm to 3am and all that count as one day of travel
Anyone know how easy it is to interrail atm? Really wanna go in the summer but covid just puts me off
I think it’s alright (but ofc I can’t know for sure). I think the best way to find out, is to research the current corona status of each of the countries you’re planning on going to. You can usually find the information on the official government sites of each country. Hope this helps

Hey, bro who is reading this comment
These tips are almost useless
I can give you a pro tip:
Do not spend money on accommodations, just sleep in night trains on the way to the next city and quite often such service offers food
This way you will explore any city you like and combine useful and pleasure while sleeping
Just imagine, going to bed in one country and waking up in another one 😊
Can I eat egg
👍👍👍🔝❤️
Is it fun to go alone? My mates don’t want to join
You can always meet new people
Same for me. Where are you starting from?

How to get Visa for all those countries
Apply at the embassy before travelling.
Look up the Schengen Area - many European countries are part of this and all come under one Visa with no internal border checks or controls
can you do this at 17 years old?
I think it would be hard, most hostels require you to be 18

Can you do a video how to make money with travelling photographer
I’ve not even earned £200 with photography in my whole career, travel photography is very hard but still possible. I earn money more through video and social media then photography.
