    Hi my name is Danielle, welcome to my True Crime and Makeup series! I’ve been interested in true crime for the longest time now, what started with me watching true crime on TV with my Nan from a young age eventually turned into studying for a degree in Law & Criminology.
    When I first watched Bailey Sarian’s series I was completely hooked, I loved how she had combined two of the things I’m most passionate about and delivered it so well. She totally inspired me to take the leap and do the same thing on my channel, so all credit for the idea goes 100% to her.
    I’m from the UK and will be covering cases from both the UK and internationally, let me know if there are any cases that you’d like to see from me! More cases will be coming soon so please subscribe if you enjoyed this video!

    One thing that bothered me about this awful case is how many children she was able to have being such a terrible person. It hurts my heart that so many women who are ready to be a mom who can provide a safe home and stable situation for the child can’t conceive but then someone like this can☹️

    • @christinafidance340
      @christinafidance340 Před 2 lety +34

      I can empathize, BUT I also feel that maybe there’s a reason for that??? Not that people who can’t conceive shouldn’t be parents, but that they should adopt since there are so many abused/neglected children who need parents. Sadly, the adoption processes and cost prevent that in a lot of cases, but in a perfect world…… I understand the frustration though. But maybe if someone truly loves children and can’t adopt, at least donate your time and passion towards helping children. Big brother/big sister programs, community centers, etc.

      I know abortion is pretty frowned upon among many people but I feel like my situation was pretty similar in a way. I was 22 and very heavily addicted to heroin at the time. By the time I found out I was pregnant I was already almost 10 weeks along and was having some pretty extreme symptoms and withdrawals to the point where I knew if I were to try and quit and keep the baby I would risk putting my self and my baby’s life in danger but I would’ve never considered going through with the pregnancy and giving birth just to actually murder my baby. This case made me so sad honestly. Even if she didn’t want to consider adoption there’s so many more options she could’ve chosen it’s just so bizarre to me how she could’ve actually gone through with that so many times. :(

    I understand how the husband would believe she's having miscarriages. Considering she was in active addiction throughout these pregnancies, I would believe she's losing babies as a result of the drugs. It's so awful that she was purposely hurting these children instead. May those children rest in peace.

    • @shelceegraves1241
      @shelceegraves1241 Před 2 lety +40

      I agree. I can see how he believed her, especially because when a woman tells you she miscarried you don’t question it since it’s such a sensitive and heartbreaking situation. I don’t anyways. Also, when I was pregnant I didn’t show at all until 8 months and even then I could have passed for just gaining a bit of weight. So I actually understand how people around her didn’t know. I even can understand how she gave birth with other people in the house because they say the more babies you have the easier and faster it gets giving birth. I’m thankful he did the right thing and called the authorities when he found the boxes or who knows how long she would have gotten away with it. I think if he knew what she was doing before that at all he wouldn’t have called the cops when he found that first box. Such a heartbreaking story. I don’t know how a woman can carry a baby for 9 months and just kill them like it was nothing.

      Had she actually seen an OBGYN I guarantee they would have pushed hard to get this whack job on birth control. I’m wondering though if she would have bothered like she would have prob taken the script maybe filled it took a few days worth and then the meth addiction would have taken over and she would have “forgotten” to continue taking them. Ya know she never missed a dose of her damn meth though. It is sick and sad and yes she has tons of other options she could have explored even in secret (safe haven laws) also I was pregnant when I was 19/20 and I cut hair anyway fast forward to me being on my maternity leave and I had clients literally asking my co workers where I was and when they said she had her baby most of them were like “She was pregnant?” I didn’t show til about 6 months and if I really wanted to I could have easily covered it up with a big sweatshirt. I also assume (I’m not a doctor) that the majority of her babies were prob severely under weight due to her extreme level of meth use so that prob helped her hide all these pregnancies. I mean if smoking cigs can lower birth weight imagine with meth could do? That is just a side note as to how she pulled this off. Also I did tell the majority of my clients I was expecting but in case y’all didn’t know some ppl get a haircut 2 maybe 3 times a year (even men I know it’s crazy how hairy they get in between lol) so they were the clients asking where I was. I never tried to hide my pregnancy I just didn’t get to tell each of my idk maybe 150 or so clients that I had seen during my pregnancy. Even full term I had such a basketball under my shirt belly that from behind you couldn’t tell I was pregnant but turned to the side and ppl were moving out of my way like I was a damn bus going down an alley that I clearly couldn’t clear! She doesn’t even appear to be a bad person- except that she murdered a lot of babies 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️. So, I somehow think it was primarily the drugs, that were influencing her decision making. Other than that, it’s just baffling.

      Well, she did wrap them up like crazy. Towels, plastic bags, tape, box, more tape. And who knows how much they actually used the garage. Some ppl use it as solely as storage & never park their car in it. Or, if that's where he made the meth, then the meth smell plus usually using a protective face mask would keep him from smelling the bodies.
      Even if the meth wasn't in there, severe, longterm meth use affects so many things that would alter his sense of smell, esp if snorting it. It changes one's sweat & breath odor. It causes dry mouth & teeth grinding, & causes tooth decay. All of that affects/kills your sense of smell.
      I, myself, have a lot of the mouth problems from longterm, legally prescribed steroids, narcotics, & nasal sprays. Those, plus a ton of my other meds, & my surgeries cause dry mouth, loss of bone density, malnutrition, vitamin deficiencies, and other crap. I can say that my sense of smell is terrible.
      I'm a pretty heavy cigarette smoker, too.
      The controlled substances I've been legally prescribed for over a decade (for Crohn's Disease, Endometriosis, & other med issues) can definitely affect my thought process, my general awareness, make me lethargic, make me not even care about what other ppl are doing. Vitamin deficiencies can cause such things as well. Chronic pain does, too, tho he didn't have that.
      I know I'm making excuses for him but I'm really hoping he had no part in it. Bc if he did, I hate the thought that he's getting away with it.

      I am also skeptical about if he knew or not, the only thing that makes me think he knew is when they were intimate, surely he would’ve been able to tell (unless she just didn’t show at all). even after birth, you tear down there and have to recover and rest your muscles. but then again she did wrap them up and hid them and then he quickly (?) called the police when he found them, just very on the fence abt if he knew or not as well. Either way, this is a horrible case and those poor babies did not deserve to die.

    So far, as far as the "private person" aspect, I'm pretty much the male version of her. Other people find the avoidance of others and the do it all yourself mentality to be incomprehensible. It basically stems from a lack of access to positive emotions, sense of vulnerability, a bit of counterdependence and stubborn pride (avoidance of shame) mixed in, and finally the association of all sorts of connection with negative outcomes. If you share something, you lose control of it. Now, someone can try to control your inner world through what you have told them. Now, you also cannot control what they see. So it's a need for control and invulnerability which manifests through evasion and invisibility primarily, rather than shapeshifting and manipulation. It is the other side of the same coin.
    Visibility is vulnerability, connection is cruelty, closeness is mutual harm, change is death.

    The thing I find the most upsetting in this case is that she was willing to go through the entire pregnancy/birthing process multiple times, but decided NOT to take the babies to a safe haven site or a hospital, etc... I guess she was probably afraid of being arrested for child endangerment or a variety of drug charges, given that she was an active addict while pregnant (and the babies would have been born addicted to drugs as well). Still, its disgusting that she continually made the choice to murder the babies instead of picking literally any other option available to her.
    I also find it odd that she hoarded the bodies in the garage, especially after her house was searched by police. You'd think she would have at least tried to get rid of the bodies somehow so no one would figure out what she had done.

    • @victoriadiesattheend.8478
      @victoriadiesattheend.8478 Před 2 lety +15

      The thing is, you can be addicted to drugs during pregnancy and the baby born addicted to drugs. But as long as you're willing to give up the child to the state your addiction is not a matter of legal redress. You can literally sign away all your rights the day the child is born. As long as you go to the hospital to have your baby you're off the hook. You might not have had ANY prenatal care but as long as you seek medical attention even call an ambulance while in labor you are considered to have done what was right for the baby and their well being. You won't be allowed to LEAVE the hospital with said baby. You're going home alone. But you won't be arrested or even given a hard time. Megan clearly did not want these babies or at least could not take care of them. So she could easily have handed each child over to the state, while in the hospital to give birth. She could also have gotten a DepoProvera put in (birth control) while there for the birth of her second daughter, so that none of this horror ever had to take place.

    In 1988 I got pregnant at 16,my home life was mentally, physically and emotionally abusive.
    My parents weren’t having this so they took me 2 days later to Fort Worth Texas to The Edna Gladney Adoption Agency and left me there. I was not given a choice of what I wanted to do…I placed my birth son for adoption, this was the hardest thing I have ever gone through in my life. It was a closed adoption, so the chance of ever finding him and meeting him was almost zero. I got married at 19, and had my next son at 27, after giving birth the first time I was like yeah I think I’m going to wait A LONG TIME before I go through that 19 hours of scary labor and delivery😳. A lot happened with the agency and I found my birth son when he was 17. I spoke with his parents many times and about 3 months of getting to know them by phone and meeting a couple times for lunch and dinner just his parents and me. One night I was washing dishes and my phone rang, it was my birth son❤️. That night he spoke to his little brother and little sister. We made plans to meet just him and I, I told him he was always wanted and always loved every day of his life, most wonderful day of my life. He also met his birth father and grandparents, great grandparents, aunts and uncles the next day.
    I had the same boyfriend since 13 we dated until I was 18, but emotionally it was to difficult for us to be together with out our birth son. Why would I tell all of this, because she could have done adoption and those 6 babies would have had a good life. My birth son is a Navy Seal, been married for 16 years and has 3 sons. So there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON OTHER REASON BUT PURE EVIL THAT SHE MURDERED THOSE 6 babies😭😭.

This situation was really out of your hands like you said they didn’t give you any choices..you gave life to your son he’s had a good life and happy and you met up with him..............this evil woman is nothing but evil she had the choice she was married she could’ve easily had them adopted an A termination in the early stages better still birth control it’s not all down to her taking meth I’ve known plenty of attics real bad addicts yes they’ve had their children removed but give them back when they clean know this woman goes deeper much deeper than that I would say very very psychopathic she killed them planned it had them in the bathroom clever enough to hide a pregnancy cleaning up after herself and she never really did dispose properly of the bodies may be for some trophy I don’t know...a cold calculated woman she is pure pure evil and six times she did this six times..when people found out about her third pregnancy she was clever enough then not to kill the baby so no using meth as an excuse personally I believe .i I know using drugs does miss you up but not to that degree but killing at the birth is unbelievable cold and extremely psychopathic hundred percent psycho evil👹👺................

    It's so easy to judge when a person has no first or second hand experience with drug addiction. Especially when it comes to the big three: heroine, cocaine, and meth. One of my sisters was a hardcore addict. People really have no idea what that does to the user. Quite frankly, I feel for both Megan and all of her children (dead and alive). This store has nothing but victims. And is a perfect example of why addiction needs to have more help rather than more criminalization. We need to stop demonizing addicts. It is an illness, and a serious one at that. Addicts cannot always be held accountable for their actions or decisions while they are using. Help needs to go to them because they are rarely in a position to go where help is.

    "How could she not have any complications?" She probably did. Who knows how many tears she might have had? The thing is, after the first couple are delivered, in subsequent pregnancies, the delivery is often much quicker and easier subsequently. The fact that she managed to go through that many pregnancies while abusing meth too and drinking probably resulted in her delivering prematurely, or in having slightly smaller babies, which no doubt would reduce the risk of serious damage to herself. But the fact that she did not appear to even get an infection, severe blood loss, mastitis (and god the engorgement must have been misery) or blood pressure issues, god forbid something like pre-eclampsia or HELLP., or diabetes or HG... it's just crazy.
    I think there is something very fundamentally wrong underneath all of this. The Mormon church is not a very forgiving one when it comes to things like drugs, alcohol, premarital sex, etc. They're also very prone to having BIG families. While it's not strictly forbidden completely, there is a significant percentage who believe that it is their duty to have as many kids as possible, so I have no doubt that this played into her repeated pregnancies - though how she decided that murder would be less of a sin than birth control is beyond me.

He was nicknamed “the vampire” due to the way he would kill his victims in a very sadistic way ( and also maybe reffered to as “the real vampire of Romania” giving the fact that the vampire tale was inspired by one of our rulers “Vlad the Impaler” from Transilvania)
