For me Craig has been the best Bond. I read all the Bond novels when I was in middle school (65 years ago!) and I think he captures the Bond psyche best. I'll miss you as Bond, Daniel!
1. Timothy Dalton
2. Sean Connery
3. Pierce Brosnan
4. Daniel Craig
5. George Lazenby
6. Roger Moore
For me Pierce Brosnan is the best
Daniel is the best!
Sean Connery is a close second!
Pierce Brosnan was physically more alike.
I am shocked to see how brazen Sean Connery was in the 60s with women. There was one scene where he got stuck on a massage machine and worked over pretty good. Later he found the nurse and when she refused him he pretty much raped her. What is amazing is that the Bond movies matured with technology. By the time we got to Pierce Brosnan the production got so much better and the movies became a lot less campy. The gadgets of the sixties were pretty funny. I had a James Bond briefcase that shot plastic bullets when I was a kid. And I had a model of one of his cars with the bullet proof shield in the back and the machine guns in the front.
As a whole, the Daniel Craig's era is on another level of epicness, depth of characters, storyline and visuals. Easily the best.
plus retiring in every film ha
agreed! Craig will be missed :(
But not by me; Quantum was easily the worst film of all of them,- indeed that one would have been more entertaining if one of at least 3 former Bonds had played it in their prime. We will see about the last film. Need time to have perspective. Your recap slightly misdirects on what happened to vespa Lynds former lover after bond let him go but otherwise really great. I see Craig's films being rated with Timothy Doltons in time; they seem close in tenor
@@christop997 Quantum had special circumstances regarding the writers strike.
Bullshit.. No class against Sean Connery.. Craig just keeps a sodden serious face, walks tall less talking and he is done.. Stunts man speacialised actors do the job with the help of techny advancements and Craig looks good.. Kid can act serious!!
So James Bond repeatedly keeps retiring to be with a woman. All he wants is love.
That is what doesnt fit Bond Character - he knows these attachments are weakness one his enemies would be eager to exploit - and he already had that lesson learned when soviets killed his first wife right after they wed - in essence a real Bond wouldnt make these mistakes again and again - and yet the writters of craig movies utterly ignored that aspect xD
@@krzosu You're right on your Analysis.
Perhaps we can also make the case that that's Bonds Achilles heel. That's the one area he remians irrational.
The case for the death of his wife, even though we don't have Soviet occupation anymore, as i understand it, the events of the Craig Bond movies are supposed to occur before the events of the previous Bond movies.
So ideally, as a younger Bond he was more physical, militant and impulsive. But as he aged and became less physically capable he had to rely more on charm, wit, and Gadgets.
In essence, the Craig Bond movies are his origin stories.
@@krzosu Bond isnt a robot, hes still a human being with emotions. Of course hes gonna fall in love, i really dont see how this would be a plot hole that the writers "ignored"
@@Finn-wm2no I dont deny him his humanity - i just berate that kind of stupidity especially since already his enemies killed his loved one at least ONCE - which means they will do it again if given chance - so he should have known better he aint stupid he KNOWS this frist hand - and yet that is what the writters decided to pursue not once not twice but three times anyway xD - simply because they cant think of anything else xD that might make a story xD He KNOWS anyone he will start to date or make a spouse - its like writing a death sentence xD
@@krzosu except its literally his character from the books, he is moody and broody and keeps falling in love
This video is both a short and very detailed recap of the Daniel Craig James Bond Series. Awesome job man, this video helped me out alot! Going to see No Time To Die in a couple hours and I am very happy I found this vid!
I'm sorry you had to go see No Time To Die... Hope you've recovered since!
Fr. The only movie I slightly remember is spectre
Yeah No Time To Die had a very sad ending it was the first time I cried in a movie
Great job dude
Seriously the only review that I could find that was straight to the point , informative, and well worth the watch !
It's been 24 hours I have seen that movie but I am still in emotional shock from its ending. It's awesome movie. I don't think anyone can get same experience in small screen compared to big screen
True still can't get out from it this no time to die is so emotional
@Jonas Jonaitis yup hope so
He must be gonna do a “Spock” for the next film. 😏
Ive been a James Bond all my life. It’s my favourite set of films… this is a good video for someone that hasn’t watched it. Nicely done
or someone who has watched but was obviously too off to catch anything else than sex and poker :D
Just as good for somebody who has watched them all..... only once!
to a guy who's never watched bond movies this felt like a pretty good explanation and yes i am excited to see no time to die in a few hours
same here mate
It is a borefest. Extremely disappointing and corny. The evil villain might as well be just a cameo. No tension or atmosphere… Zzzzzzz
@@Insp.CountMortisWinshipKlaw it's a good movie with a underdeveloped villian but has a bittersweet and in my opinion good ending, it's a 50/50 split on if the movie was good
@@johnlogic7586 Casino Royale was perfect, after that, every movie is getting worse. Yesterday I saw No Time To Die- one of the worst Bond movies, definitely worst Craig movie. First, the movie is too long, too many characters, who did nothing for the story, bad guy- he's bad because he's bad, no story and very cheesy ending. SPOILER: they created impossible gun (nanobots or watever), but cant create impossible antidote.
@@EtatinisPamishelis I agree that the movie has meny flaws and I understand why you dont like it, but for me a different person with a different thought process for better of for worse I liked the movie
I’m going to see No Time To Die in one hour and this video helped me so much to recap all the Craig Bond movies, thank you so much. Great editing and story telling
Sebastian, what did you make of NTTD? No spoilers please.
@@williamfoy599 it was pretty good
@Revenge Class totally agree. They have ruined what bond was. Poor ending.
I hope you enjoy it more than I did. ????? I really do.
@@drleo6409 NTTD: Beautiful, emotional, nonsensical
I'm agreeing with everyone that your recap is the best ever. I just watched "No Time to Die". It all makes sense. Bond can never be replaced and Craig was the best Bond since Sean Connery. It will be interesting how they continue the franchise for the future.
How would you all feel if they did not continue? In other words left it how it ends. I think it's had its day. 1962 is a long time ago.Nearly 60 years of a franchise maybe is enough.
I prefer Craig’s run as I am not as much as a fan of the older cheeser bonds
I didn't like or watch Bond's films before Daniel Craig. Now I'm hooked. I can't imagine anybody else in this role, best Bond ever.
I agree….. I liked the new film ( even with the intersectional feminism nonsense ) and it’s nod to Lazenby’s only effort ‘Secret Service’ …. Great yet disjointed… it’s a great block of Bond movies and I think that’s where I’ll leave it.
Well you have no one to compare to, so your opinion is worth a shaken martini at the most.
@@gabrieljosefson7467 But I have seen all the Bond actors from Sean Connery to Daniel Craig. I left in the middle of the film, It wasn't my cup of tea until Craig came along. I like the depth he brought to the character, so I guess I like what others dislike. Cup of tes or shaken martini, that's my opinion!🥂🍾
@@elenal2012 I hear you. Every bond has his time.
@@elenal2012 my first Bond movie at the Cinema was ‘The Man With The Golden Gun’…saw everyone therein, even ‘Never Say Never Again’ …. I think Craig made him real life…. Roger has much has I loved him in the part was more ‘Carry On Bond’, my favorite of his being ‘For Your Eye’s Only’, so glad I saw trough the Woke Trailers and caught Craig’s last outing…. 7/10
In every SINGLE one of these movies there is a moment where he is either retired or suspended and then reprises his role.
really twice in this movie, so that's new. (tic)
Was born in 98 and have subsequently grown up with Daniel Craig as "my Bond". Going to finally watch No Time To Die tonight; I sincerely hope it's a good send off. Thank you Daniel Craig, you've done a great job as 007.
Edit : well... Fuck. That was a great performance Daniel Craig. You will be missed.
Yo man, this is what I needed. A comprehensive recap just before watching No Time To Die.
This was great! A lot of synopses on CZcams are awful and don’t help at all, but this was really informative and concise. Thanks!
It's going to be very hard to replace Craig - who was the Bond ever.
Well, one DOES have to give kudos to Sean Connery, who got the whole ball rolling!
There are a few I can think of.
pierce brosnan still the best bond for me with chillax face and sneaky
I’m a Timothy Dalton bond fan myself. I really enjoyed The Living Daylights.
Henry Cavill would make a damn good bond.
“Daniel craigs run as James bond is Finally coming to an end”
I hope you meant to say it’s Sadly coming to an end😂
I will be glad when he is gone - he didn't fit the role from the get go. At first i was willing to give him beneit of the doubt but later on it was just meh - to a point i aint gonna even bother watching this one - and keep in mind i'm a Bond movie fan.
@@krzosu ding dong your opinion is wrong
@@krzosu You are probarbly the kind of Bond fan that thinks Roger Moore was a great Bond.
@@krzosu i do really like him as bond but he is my 4th favourite. sometimes im confused when people say stuff like "obviously craig is the best bond".
@@norseatheart1086 its possible to not like both.
Fantastic video. It is both accurate and concise. Knew all of the info but wanted a recap before No Time To Die. Great stuff.
Good stuff - way better than the IGN one
Never noticed how many dudes have a colour for their name in this series 😂 Mr white, green, silver (sliva), next thing we'll find out that M stands for magenta
James Blond
Hahahahaha 😂
I was just thinking the same thing. Maybe the next one will have a character named "Gould" or a similar just SLIGHTLY off (like 'Silva').
Ernst Stravo Bluefeld
Casino Royale was a Bond MASTERPIECE!!! I honestly can’t imagine anyone doing it better. Spot on Daniel, Spot on. He was just bond. Elegant, striking, dashing, yet dangerous. Love you daniel

Then go see No Time To Die. I also thought Casino was perfect. I just got out of the theater, and I can say No Time To Die is just more perfect. More perfect indeed. Bravo Daniel Craig. Bravo Bond team!

@@EtatinisPamishelis OK bud. We can all have our opinions :).
Great video! As a huge bond fan i rewatched all the Craig movies this week to prepare for the final outing. If i hadnt done that, your video would have been absolutely essential as its easy to forget all the moving pieces. THANK YOU!
Great summary. Actually the best I've seen. It really helps recap what has happened, I didn't realise the threads were so related. Thanks for the effort!
Thanks man. This was really helpful content. Hope this channel grows bigger.
Great video! A recap I needed! Thanks.
Good summation. From a guy who has watched the first four films at least four times. I have been a fan of the James Bond franchise since Dr. No, and was for decades a die hard Connery fan, as the best actor in the role. That was until Daniel Craig came along. Craig now wears the mantel as the best Bond ever.
Great recap man. Thanks!
That was such an awesome recap. Thanks so much. Going to see it Saturday, date night at the movies for the 1st time in about 2 years. Super excited and yes, there are certain movies you HAVE to see on the big screen, James Bond being one of them and i think Daniel has been the best Bond by far. Sean was good, then Roger and Pierce, but Daniel - you are a legend
I watched this movie last night clueless so this recap REALLY helped thank you!!
Well recapped .. got all the key moments covered and at the same time kept it brief. 👌🏼
Great recap. Thanks for the video!
Thanks my friend! This is exactly what I was looking for 👌🏽💯
I appreciate the recap. It makes it easier for me to follow the newest film.
Thank you for this great recap
Wow ! Excellent. To the point, succinct and suddenly brought the whole Bond Franchise make sense like it had never made me realize. Thanks.
Great job in describing all of this.. Awesome!
Thank you so much man!
I really needed this 🙌🏻
Excellent recap. Direct and to the point. Great job!
I've watched all that before, but already forgot a bit. Thanks for the recap, really helped.
Nicely done mate! Watching tonight so thank you.
This was great work , I missed some of these connections whilst watching the movies , so very helpful ty ...🙏
The video quality of story depth and storyline was so good. Good job man !
Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
Great re-cap! Noe got the broad picture and a logic to all plots being intertwined! Thanks a lot!
Very helpful info before seeing the swansong of Daniel Craig. Brief and concise👍🏻
You have a different way of explaining things, you explained multiple movies in a flow like connecting them where they ended and where they started in next one
Keep up the good work
Thank you very much! This is the video I was looking for.
Awesome video, thank you!!
Brilliant summary - super-helpful, and spared me from having to watch Spectre again in advance of No Time to Die. THANK YOU!
Great work my man 👏🏼 thank you so much
I think I should be the next James Bond. Not gonna let my prosthetic leg get in the way....
Thanks man! My No Time to Die starts in 1 hour! My return to the theater after more than a year.
Terrific recap. I couldn't understand why he took M to Scotland, and ultimately her death. He could have made an excuse for her to get out of the car and driven off. When he got to Scotland why didn't they send for back up, the villain was on his way with an army. Lea Seydoux deserves an award for No time to Die.
Absolutely right - stupid. There are nine 00 agents in to protect 'M' - never made sense to go up to Scotland and engage an old game-keeper in a Home Alone scenario.
I’ve missed more than one of the Daniel Craig films. Super helpful video so I can still go see the newest one this week! .
Wow. That was the best recap ever. Concise.
I've seen all the movies many times over but this was a great refresher! thank you!
I needed this as we are going to see the movie this Sunday!. Thank you!!!
Ah! thank sweet baby jebus for video recaps like this.
I was about to rewatch Spectre ahead of watching No Time To Die (3 hours) and had to time (and want) to rewatch it.
Thank you 3000.
Just what I needed! Thanks dude for this
Appreciate this! Good to see a summary with a face to it
Evrytime i need a recap i find ur vids, thanks bro.
Off to see this tonight!!! Great recap 👍
Great Video, Thanks, it was hard keeping track over the years and this pretty much sums it up.
Great recap. Now I can see No Time to Die and not feel like I’ve missed something.
Wow, this was genuinely a phenomenal recap. No-nonsense and concise.
Thank you for your hard working video this is very helpful.
Thank you. Was looking for a quick recap and your video came in results
That's a great recap video! Good job.
this was a great recap! i’m watching no time to die tonight so this was so helpful!
Thanks, so much, that was brilliant! I didn't even know if I'd seen al of these due to age and trauma but I have. This recap has really helped coherently refresh my dormant recollections for when I see the new movie tomorrow. I think that I might even watch it again in the morning as it is 8.58 well spent!
Cheers
Excellent wrapup. Good work.
Thank you for creating this video! Now I can watch No Time to Die with a little bit of a clue as to what's going on! I did watch the earlier movies but putting them all in a recap is really helpful.
Great vid!! Really well done
Solid recap. Saved me hours of re-watching. Thanks!
thank you so much i watched them all but i needed a recap before watching no time to die,n your vidz was perfect i remember nows so i will go n enjoy no time to die
Great catch-up. Thanks. As an adolescent in 1963, Ian Fleming's Bond books totally captured my imagination (were confiscated by my parents once they were aware of the sex Ian Fleming's stories -- it was 1963) -- my mom confiscated several books but I finally wore my parents down to see "From Russia with Love" -- the "cold war" setting was still very real in national news and the villians/adversaries were real enough to be concerning . In "From Russia With Love", Sean Connery's performance in the elevator and train fights with Robert Shaw became my metric for all subsequent Bond films. Connery made the me understand that Shaw had the advantage and Connery would DIE if he didn't win through. These "real" moments of human struggle make the Bond character for me. Daniel Craig has provided many of these "I'm human and may die" moments for me during his tenure that make the story memorable as Bond calls up guts and determination -- rather than just gadgets -- to win the day. That said, I love the gadgets too!
Amazing mate, thank you!
Thanks dude, great recap
This was excellent, thank you
That was real quick revision..thank u
Great job breaking it all down!
Great run down! Thanks! With so much time between each film I missed a lot of the connections between each. I think I’ll go back and rewatch them, now with a better understanding of the context thanks to you!
I've seen them all. Daniel Craig is the best version of Bond.
I wish I watched this first before No Time To Die, I kept scratching my head because it is connected! And forgot all the past movies
I rarely comment on videos but have to say you did a brilliant job of summarising this so clearly! Watching No Time To Die in 1 hour! 😊
@Jonas Jonaitis Because I work!
Really good video! I’ve seen them all but needed a refresh. Can’t wait for the new one
That was really helpful, thank you
Thanks Man! Excited to watch the movie in couple of hours!
Great job! I'm a long-time fan and that was a concise summary to jog the mind.
Great video sir. Thank you 🙏
Thanks for the recap, even though i saw No Time To Die a few days ago... it's been so long in between films a recap after the fact was enlightening .
Just what I needed. Thanks, guy.
Thanks a lot for this!
