I’d also add to this: no one just gets to be Bond for 15 years without earning it. Many things need to go right to be Bond for 15 years. Some Bonds aged too much, some Bonds weren’t good enough. Craig had it all!

@Jonas Jonaitis This was the whole purpose why he had to stay on the island. They have to be open. Otherwise the bunker and the nano bots dont get destroyed. Because as mentioned in the movie, with closed gates the bunker is safe. But the doors already have been opened again way earlier by him again, not in the last seconds.
But even following your logic, he is dead because the door opend in the last seconds.

Daniel Craig is such a humble and funny guy, I’m gonna miss see him playing James Bond he is the reason I started watching them. I think we can all agree he played the role extremely well and we’ll miss him in the Bond movies. Hopefully the next actor is as good as him

Even though she is French, the Bond actor she reminds me most of is Daniella Bianchi from From Russia With Love. Daniella was an Italian actor playing a Russian spy, and her voice was dubbed for the film. (This is one aspect in which the Bond films have improved since Cubby Brocoli’s death-the virtual elimination of incessant voice dubbing, which Brocoli was all but addicted to and most of which was totally unnecessary).

I watched “No time to die” ....and damn it's great....in my opinion, it's right there after “Skyfall”.
Skyfall came out when I was 8 years old and I saw it in cinemas with my dad, I just saw no time to die with my dad in cinemas age 17. In other news I've waited half my life to see another good bond film and finally that goal is completed.

It's beneficial for the story to have an antagonist who believes his objective is greater good. That is how character has more depth.
Steven Song agreed unless you can pull off Heath Ledgers joker where his motivation is purely chaos and nihilism. But I think that works because they give him no back story.

Seems to me that there are hints Daniel Craig could be up for Bond 26, maybe in 2022, when the Bond films celebrate their 60th Anniversary. There is this Insider that claims DC isn´t ready yet to let the role go to another actor and that he could be good for a 6th Movie. Then the sentence Rami Malek dropped at the beginning of this video, plus the fact that Phoebe Waller-Bridge was hired to come up with a script (idea) for a new Bond film. And then, there´s the rumor that Tom Hardy was selected as the new James Bond, despite him being already 43 years old - and at a Time, where No Time to Die isn´t released yet.
My guess is, Tom Hardy could have been hired to play the antagonist in the next Movie. Daniel Craig vs. Tom Hardy would be quite something.
Ugh. Tom Hardy is so incredibly over-rated. He is always playing himself. He is always Tom Hardy. No range. Just like Jimmy Stewart and Bogey and John Wayne and Gary Cooper always were the damn same and always played themselves...with exceptions of two roles..."Mr. Smith...." for Stewart and "African Queen" for Bogey. And Tom Hardy shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as those real actors from the early 40s.
The new bond better be Henry Cavill. I've been saying that for years.

I watched this in feb 2020, and I just watched No Time To Die in oct 2021 last night.
Daniel Craig would have been 5 years old when Live and Let Die hit the theaters. I can see how it would be a terrifying movie to a 5 year old. I also grew up with Roger Moore, and the first 6 Bond movies I saw were with him. Getting to accept other actors as Bond definitely required an adjustment period, but I have grown to appreciate all 6 Bond actors.
Lea is such a dish and a mysterious, intense and intriguing character.
Anyone else loving the camraderie between these 4?

I was somewhat disappointed in SPECTRE, but I've been excited for this one for a while, and have purposely not watched too many of the trailers and clips out there. I really don't want to know too much before hand, I just want to see it unfold and be surprised. Hopefully it'll be worth the wait, and a fitting sendoff to Craig's seminal Bond.

When I saw that trailer in the theater, introducing the new James Bond, I decided right away that I approved just based on that scene alone. (And then, of course he ends up being a great--if a different breed of-- Bond.)
