Those are actually his eyes and when he wears the color blue, it tends to bring the color out of them even more! That's actually the truth as opposed to the other (seriously questionable) responses that aren't even close to being accurate.

Never have I ever loved any other James Bond, like I love Daniel Craig. He is my all-time favorite. He made the character feel very vulnerable and real.

I think real is most important. I've always been a fan of James Bond, and I must confess that I, like many others, was initially opposed to him playing the character. But god damn, Casino Royale put me in my place. I think the most important thing that's been changed is he doesn't rely on those over the top gadgets that appear in previous films. No invisible cars with rockets and machine guns, no jetpacks. One of my favourite scenes was from Quantum of Solace, when M tells Bond to have over his weapons and leave with the three men and he has them incapacitated before they reach the last floor.
An agent who relies on nothing but their own personal skills, training and instincts to get out of the worst situations is way more exciting than just happening to have the right laser watch or glass-shattering ring for a super specific situation.

Daniel Craig has been one of my most favourite British actors I've ever known since I was 15 years old. I had grown up watching him as James Bond since Spectre and I was incredibly honored to have him in my childrood memory.
