Howard discusses how quoins have developed and changed over time in letterpress printing. Quoins help lock up type, cuts, and furniture in a chase. #printingpress #letterpress #typesetting
Very interesting gentleman, you've done yourself proud. This is the reason why your channel is going off the charts with the number of views. Take care.
I hated school ,but I absolutely loved the printing trades shop. I learned everything from hand setting type to stripping negatives, and everything in between. The printing trade was very good to me , I was never without a decent paying job, unless I wanted to be. My first printing job was for a larger sized job shop , they had an AB Dick about 6 multiliths a 11x 17 MGD a small Harris 4 color and an old Heidelberg head chopper. The last job I had there were 8 Harris heat set presses running 24 hours a day 363 days a year. The last place printed more copies in a month than the first one did in it's 70 years of existence lol. Amazing
@@cheapcraftygirlsweepstakes2338 actually I worked every thanksgiving for 20 years , They closed on Christmas eve at 7 PM and started back at 7 Pm Christmas Day and closed 7Pm new years eve and opened7pm New Years Day because no one ever showed up new years day after being out all night.
