âLike a pinch on your neck from Mr. Spock.â
I swear I'm seeing you comment on all these beastie boys reaction videos and its awesome! I've watched like 20 reaction videos and I LOVE watching people fall in love with these guys! đ€
@@xarlxarlson859 I have been! Haha... Iâve always been a mega fan. Iâm in love with Ad-Rock... always have been đ
@@mackenziewilber I've been a fan since the early 90s and the beasties are one of my top favorite groups. I've even heard some of there early stuff when they were a legit punk band and it was really good. My favorite is watching people react to WATCHA WANT which is one of my top favorites đ€always nice to meet a fellow beastie boys fan
@@xarlxarlson859 I was born in 78... so the beasties and I go way back... I remember my mom getting pissed because a friend of mine gave me license to ill and my mom thought it was way too raunchy for me... I copied it onto a mixed tape so she didnât know and I played that thing to death!
@@mackenziewilber haha that's so awesome I was born in 84 so it took a little to discover them but I'm sure glad I did I had my own painting business for 4 years and in the summer that's all I'd play on the radio was beastie boys while working lol I'm sure the neighbors or even the people inside the house didnt enjoy it but oh well lol
â3 MCs and 1 DJ,â and âsure shot.â There are TONS of dope Beastie Boys tracks.đ„đ„đ„
Shake Your Rump is also a great track!
Fire!
YES! 3MCs and 1 DJ
AND Sound of Science
Root Down
The Mr. Spock line is a reference to the original 1960s Star Trek TV series. Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy) was known to use a Vulcan nerve pinch (to the neck) to temporarily incapacitate aggressors.
The video is a pastiche of old Japanese Kaiju movies, which often featured stunt actors in monster or robot costumes fighting in (and destroying) miniature cities.
This song was from their 1998 album Hello Nasty, and I believe the beat was made by Ad Rock and studio engineer Mario C.
The "Nnnn-drrrop" was sampled from their own 1986 single "The New Style". A sample also used by The Pharcyde on "Drop", the video for which was directed by Spike Jonze, who also directed a few Beastie Boys videos, but not this one. The Intergalactic video was directed by MCA under the pseudonym Nathanial Hörnblowér.
3 MCs AND 1 DJ!!!!!!!!!!
Dude you gotta give em a chance. These guys broke the damn mold. True pioneers. âSo whatcha want.â âRight Right Now Now.â Check it out.
lol im doing it. got of to a rough start. this one was fore tho
@@RedTopReactions haha well thatâs good! React or no reaction, you gotta watch chuck D and LL cool j induct them into the rock and roll hall of fame. Youâll learn a lot about their history from that. They pretty much gave LL his start in the game. Theyâre truly a legendary group.
Ch-check it out, indeed. But, stop wasting your time on the "brain trust" here, he wouldn't know fire if the FD was busting down his door.
@@RedTopReactions "LOL, (I')m doing it. (I) got of(f) to a rough start. (T)his one was, for() though." Huh?
đŽ welcome to Rap FoundationâđœđŽ
Beastie Boys - Body Movin'
I've always loved the "I'll stir-fry you in my wok" line. Hilarious, cracks me up everytime.
Me, too! đ
Imagine just how blown away people were when this first came out, destroyed parties.
Facts.
All my Friends were at my pad for the premier on Mtv
So Whatâcha Want and Sure Shot.. two great ones by the Beastie Boys
I saw the Beastie Boys, EPMD, Jazz Jeff and the Fresh Prince, and Public Enemy at the Greek Theater in 1988. It was unbelievable what I witnessed.
thanks for watching and commenting please hit đđż up and sub if you haven't already!!
EPMD!!!!!!
"From the family tree of old school Hip Hop." They shout out Kool Mo D on here. He gave the Beasties be an A for sticking to themes, back when Kool Mo D used to issue report cards to other rappers.
Some of my favorites are: Paul Revere, Hold It Now Hit It, Sure Shot, 3 MCâs and 1 DJ, Right Right Now Now, Root Down and so many more!
Lol, not do the WAP, there's an old school dance called the wop, lmao.
lol i know. it was still hilarious
@@RedTopReactions that it was, lol. I was dying.
But he's said"also known as the flintstone drop" is that a dance too?
@@mofo5206 now that I've never heard of, lol
@@mofo5206 he says âflintstone flopâ and itâs a dance Fred flintstone did in one of the old flintstone cartoon movies
After 3 MC's and 1 DJ you should do sure shot!!!!
Hey Ladies, Shake your Rump, 3 MCs and one DJ, Hold it now Hit it, The New Style, Make some Noise..... The list is endless, enjoy the ride
âShake your rumpâ ..one of the popular tracks from their landmark album âPaulâs boutiqueâ
These guys are Original Hip Hop artist.
When you said âCan we get some fire with this video?â I thought, âWell... youâre gonna get burned.â
đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
They came out way before any of those artists you mentioned. Beasties, Run DMC, and LL Cool J all played major roles in bringing hip hop to the main stream. These guys first formed in the late 70s, and were one of the first artists to release a record with Rick Rubin on Def Jam label.
They were also the main reason dr jam signed LL.
Fun fact, That "Mmmm Drop!" part where they let the beat drop is also a throw back to one of their older songs "The New Style".
"Like a pinch on your neck from Mr. Spock"
The bar is a reference to Star Trek. Specifically, the character of Spock, who was an alien from the planet Vulcan. Vulcans are pacifists and have mastered various martial arts for defense. In several episodes, Spock is seen pinching the neck of someone, which renders them unconscious.
Well? Well? Do you realize if AdRock of the Beasties didn't listen to a 16 year olds cassette, you wouldn't have LL Cool J? Do you realize Public Enemy used to open for them? They're foundational. Sample game is insane, some of the best DJs and bring mad energy to their shows. I knew them when they opened for the Misfits and others at CBs and we would go uptown to the Fever. Everyone doing something rebellious and freedom loving (NYC was sucking then, hard), was in. I was at the Loft, at the birth of house, you would pass groups going from one type of club to another all the time. It was a glorious time.
they've sold 20 million albums! 3 MC's and 1 DJ, Root Down, and Get It Together.
I LOVE when I get to experience the video definition of âainât readyâ It bring me JOY.. I remember when this song dropped.. My, at the time, 2yo nephew was me EVERYTHING.. we would JAM to this song.. âPut on the wobot song!â That baby gets married next month.. if this song plays at the reception, imma lose my shit đ
Correct. Another dimension. These guys are fantastic.
You really have to consider the era that this is from as well. They revolutionized a lot of sheit
Just started this video and I cannot WAIT to see your mind change. You are going to LOVEEEEE this songggg
Glad you didn't give up and found one you like
Beasite! Let's Go! #RIP my brother Slop.
Like a pinch on the neck from mr spick, it's a star trek reference
These guys were always doing something different. "Root Down" and "Get it Together feat Q-tip" they never followed but did what they enjoyed.
Two of my favorite purely hip hop tracks
9:56 "Like a pinch on the neck from Mr. Spock". Star Trek reference. The Vulcan neck pinch knocks you out.
So many good songs and this is a masterpiece! Great reaction and I hope you do a lot more!
What up He?! Seen a min, don't give up on BB u til you hear Whatchu Want and/or Get it Together ft. Qtip. Saw BB play right before Rage came out and shut it down at a festival back in 2000. BB one of first acts to be signed to Def Jam in the 80s.
Beastie Boys - Check Your Head âPass The Micâ. đ„đ„đ„
The amount of Beastie Boys content right now on CZcams is great !
And, love the amount of comments, although there are many 'casual' fans that seem to steer the reactors to a handful of B-Boys radio hits, that don't showcase their work ... In order to really grasp the genius and skill and creativity, that made this band such hip hop legends, you should be checking out these songs :
Root Down
Sure Shot
Pass The Mic
Car Thief
3 MCs & 1 DJ
Finger Lickin Good
So Whatcha Want
Skills To Pay The Bills
Shadrach
B Boy Bouillabaisse
Hey Ladies
Shake Your Rump
Too Many Rappers-featuring Nas-
Ch-Ch-Check It Out
I'm sure you will, at that point, understand the fan love & hype around the Beastie Boys -
30+ years of making music, videos, samples, cuts, scratching, and fashion that helped shape hip hop. True pioneers, legends, & icons !
RIP MCA
Donât forget âAn Open Letter to NYCâ that paid homage to 9/11.
Thisâïžâïžâïžâïž Please don't listen to the casual fans. Real fans know what's up. I totally agree with Kevin.
If they haven't heard the entire catalog and haven't read the book... CASUAL FAN đđ

I would recommend doing SURE SHOT, then WATCHA WANT, then ROOT DOWN. Those beats? That bass?? BEASTIE BOYS actually played the music themselves! They have an extensive catalogue of hits for 3 decades since the 80s. If there is a Mount Rushmore of rap Beastie Boys are definitely on it. You have no idea just how amazing they were, the more you look into them the more you will be amazed. Run DMC opened for them and they discovered LL Cool J... Think about that!
You seriously need to listen to their discography in order, their voices and personality and skill all improve album to album. The production on their albums are incredible. Paul's Boutique, their 2nd album is a timeless masterpiece. Check out Shake Your Rump, Hey Ladies, Shadrach, Car Thief, High Plains Drifter.... You won't be disappointed if you're into seeing how experimental hip hop can go.
Yep. Paulâs boutique is straight fire. The problem with the beastie boys for ppl that donât know their catalogue well is that some of their most commercially popular tracks are more rap-rock, which straight hip hop heads donât enjoy so much. Whereas the beastie boys aficionado knows they can do everything from straight funk to straight punk and can recommend the right tracks for the right people.
I concur. Paul's is iconic
"I like my sugar with coffee and cream"
That's how hype he is đ„
â3 MCâs and 1 DJâ and âRoot Downâ!
Beastie boys made rap mainstream. They have so many great songs all talented musicians and mix master mike is a true DJ.
"GIRLS" IS MY FAVORITE BEASTIE BOYS SONG
They are litterally masters of hiphop...
Oldskool as it gets..

Nothing is better than for those of us that have loved this for 40 yrs to watch someone experience this for the 1st time
Intergalactic is classic! Love this song!

So good he started making the stank face. Lol. This song is legendary.
"like a pinch to your neck like Mr spok (from star trackđ)
I keep saying 'flute loop', but no one does it. I will subscribe to the first person that does it.
agree, it's a good one. here you go: czcams.com/video/ZgYVXwq5Nos/video.html
You need to react to Root Down that shows their MC skills also 3 MC and one DJ.
Mad Skills on the tables for sure!
"
No Sleep til Brooklyn" is vintage beastie
Love it!! Beasties 4-ever!!!
"She's Crafty" another great one
So What'cha Want.
every reaction to this beat is the same and i love it. confused look, to stink face to head bobbing the rest of the song
"Like a pinch on the neck from Mr Spock". Star Trek reference.
Do: âWhat cha Wantâ, â Three MCs and one DJâ and âShake your Rumpaâ. Dude they are different and creative in every video! Always fire!
Such a great review a great tribute indeed
"Weird is good."
YUP!
LOVE your shirt!!!!!!
Sir! You never give up on Beastie Boys. Never.
Love your reaction
Now you need to listen to their first album " license to ill" late 80's.
Sounds amazing with a good sound system. The bass is so smooth.
Mr. Spok from Star Trek, was from another planet. With one pinch to the neck, people would fall to the floor.
Pretty much all of their songs are amazing. We all have our favorites, but they're all dope.
"put you to sleep like a pinch from Mr.Spock" He was a Vulcan on Star Trek that could paralyze people with a Vulcan death pinch
You the man bro............................... Love This Beastie Boys Track.
Their video pertains to the lyrics â intergalactic â ( theyâre out of this world/ dimension), basically theyâre from another dimension/out of this world. The video shows that they came to say the âworldâ with their rhymes and with third uniqueness. At the same time change the world & defeated the enemies with their advanced creativity vidz, lyrics and advanced rhymes, PLUS I LOVE HOW THEY CAN KEEP THE RYMES CLEAN yet KILLER! mmm mm mmm â€ïžâđ„âšđ𫶠brings back memories đ„đ„đœđ€
Out of this world!
I am so happy you are enjoying this.
I am!
Love love love Root Down!!!!
I appreciate your honesty. If you dont like something, it might not be your cup of tea.
Exactly!
Saw your intro and went outside to have a smoke 100% sure you would love it!
this was by far the best one, until the one i drop later this week
Like a pinch on ya neck from Mr Spok. Star Trek reference. Live the channel guy!
3 MCs and 1 DJ, Ch-Check it Out, Get it Together.
3 MC's and 1 DJ will make you a fan for sure.
I knew the Boys had reached legendary status when they sampled that 'mmmmmmDROP!' from The New Style. They were recontextualizing their own early work. I was just graduating high school, about to turn 18, and the Beastie Boys had been rapping since I was 3. And they never put out anything soft.
If you got a trunk full of speakers this song bangs like no other!!!
i think he's got it - really great reaction
Beastie Boys "Check it Out Live on Letterman"."3 MC's and 1DJ"
This is the hardest science Horovitz ever dropped. The sub bass in the break almost brought the arena roof down back in '98.
3 MCâs and 1 DJ. It features Mixmaster Mike, an award winning DJ from the legendary Invisible Scratch Pickles.
If you're looking for more true hip hop gun the Beasties... check out
Ch-Check It Out
3 MCs and 1 DJ
Sure Shot
Get It Together ft. Q-Tip
And then dive into their stuff from their first album... Licensed to Ill... true, old school rap... with the signature Beastie Boys flare.
Beasties have some of the greatest samples in hip hop history.
Todo bien contigo bro đ, muy buenas tus reacciones! đ, pero por favor si dejaras de pausar los videos tan seguido đ, beastie boys leyendas đđâïžđ
Intergalactic planetary, planetary intergalactic. Another dimension, another dimension... repeat. Thatâs the robotic voice.
Glad this one turned you around. I can see how watcha want and sabotage would not do much for you if you are expecting hip hop. I suggest Root Down (this one has old school breaking in the video, super dope), Get it together (ft. Q-tip), Too Many Rappers (ft. Nas) and Ch-check it out. These guys were pioneers in hip-hop and these tracks will show you why.
Nice,I didn't notice the way connection, also another song has"boy in da corner " maybe dizzy rascal was inspired too?
Another banger reaction my dude I suggest rhyming and stealing or paul revere
This album became the best selling at some point and I had the cassette that time.
Sure Shot & Root Down. đ„đ„đ„
53 Year Old Beasties Fan Still. Gotta listen to "Too many Dj's, Not enuf MC's" with Nas. Sums up the B Boys.
Few too many pauses, but glad you liked it. They are awesome
So Nichelle Nicolls was the first black actress in a leading role on TV, and the first onscreen racial kiss, in a show called Star Trek, which featured a Vulcan called Mr Spock who had a neck grab that would nullify anyone he met. :)
Many people forget that this group was founded as a punk band.
Later they came up with the idea of doing hip hop.
Btw they say Theyâve been known to do the Wop, not WAP. THE Wop was a dance move back in the days.
I knew you'd like this one!
The mmm...drop line is sampled from "Hold It Now, Hit It" their first album. As I'm sure you know, that sample has been used by countless artists. So they sampled themselves.
Sure Shot!!!!!!!!!!!
Bar Breaker!!!!!!
I love BB. Especially the Era when they transitioned from punk to hip hop and back and back again.
Heart attack man is one of my favorite tracks. No idea why really đ
