What a gorgeous watch, I had to get the poor mans date just Seiko SNXS79 with an aftermarket Oyster bracelet lol The cost of Rolex's just makes them unpractable and a liability as a daily wear.
Love your oyster, great find and good price ! I went to Tokyo and bought a 1803 Daydate from 1976 for my 30th and wear it every day ! Can’t wait to see you get your daydate one day !
What about the accuracy of that Rolex? Also what about the service cost and parts replacement cost. I kind of think one will be shell shocked over these costs. Will stick to my $300 citizen quartz watch so I don't get killed walking around with a "hey steal me watch with a mirror finish that you can spot from across the street".
@@davidsolmundson5705 high quality Swiss watches are within COSC standards, -4/+6 seconds per day. Rolex, Tudor, etc., are typically of even higher accuracy.
MY THOUGHTS ON A ROLEX, they are not any better than any other watch, because of high prices they will be a thing of the past and about any homage will sell. the gold sells but the rest is no better than an Invicta and probably not as good, Seiko or you name it. and if you do your homework, Invicta is an older company and helped start Rolex

My grandfather always told me, “Only hunks wear Rolexes”.
To this day, he has been correct. And this video proves it.

I own the same watch with a blue face. Blue is my favorite colour so it was a no-brainer for me. No intention to ever sell. A lifetime keeper.
