- Hello and welcome to Badger Workshop. To make it easier to my my metabo HC 260 planer thicknesser around the workshop I thought I would make a new base for it.

I have the Wolfcraft clamps they give your fingers a work out . I guess if the planer gives your back gip you could make a portable ramp and platform to push it onto when you need it .
I think I will be fine with it at this hight
I'm gonna do that when i pick up the Elektra Beckum I've bought.
It's very interesting watching you use the tracksaw right after the table saw in the same stock - given your concerns about its lack of power; you can really hear the tablesaw struggling while the Festool doesn't even bat an eyelid!
I never thought of that but yes you are right. People consider the Festool to be underpowered so really shows your.

Hi Matt, Thanks for putting up a great video. On the strength of your assessment of the Metabo planer, I have ordered one and hope to receive it some time next week.
I intend to place it on a stand with casters and I would like to make start on making the stand before it arrives. I cannot measure it until it arrives.
I would be extremely grateful if you could share the outside dimensions of your box (h, w, d) excluding casters. That way I could have it ready.

Walked down my road on bin day, outside a house is a little handmade solid wood unit with "please take on it".£5 set of lidl castors on it...instant mobile triton oscillating sander stand.Its Lilac,but beggars cant be choosers.

Hi Matt. Just an idea, and too late for this. Given space is tight, how about a counter balanced swing out and up locking table for some kit? BobUK.
They do work well for small spaces. I think this machine would be too big and heavy

Hi Matt - great video! Can I ask how you're connecting your TS55 to the vac hose? I've tried all sorts of adapters and can't get a decent fit and am on the verge of buying a Festool hose. If you're using a non-Festool hose, would be grateful for info on your setup. Thank you!

Hehe... I use my best drill as a driver (until a get a proper driver), my next best drill as a.... drill :D And a s*@q!! old one with a counter sink bit ;-)
